L. V. Beethoven piano trio op. 11, No .4의 分析

Abstract

It is well know fact that Beethoven is a prolific musician and his works have greatly influenced on the development of western music. But among many works of his, piano trios were the first ones that were published. He composed nine piano trios, which had special meaning to him. This study aims at understanding Beethoven's musical world and the influence of his chamber music on classicism by investigating his piano trio Number 4, B^(b) major, Op.11 He is composed of three movements; the first and the second are in sonata form, the third is made up of a theme, 9 variations and a coda. Like classical sonata form, the first and the third movements are in B^(b) major and the second is in B^(b), which is in subdominant key. His musical characteristics are shown in melodies of each theme, and the repetition of a regular melody and contrapuntal techniqnes such as imitation sequential progressions through entire involvements. This type of repetition is true of rhythm and the rhythmuical change such as a trill and a grace play inportant roles in developing the music with dotted rhythm and syncopation transformed and repeated. Moreover, the melody is not maldistributed in the first violin(or clarinet) but evenly distributed in three musical instruments.;Beethoven은 음악의 모든 부문을 통하여 다양하게 작품을 내놓았고, 그가 쓴 작품의 내용이나 음악사에 미친 영향이 서양음악의 발전에 지대한 공헌을 하였음은 이미 알려진 사실이다. 그러나 그의 수많은 작품 중 최초로 출판된 작품1이 바로 piano trio이며, 이러한 piano trio는 Beethoven에게 있어서 특별한 의미를 지닌 음악이다. 모두 9곡의 piano trio는 주로 고전주의의 형식과 내용을 바탕으로 작곡되었으며, 그 중의 한 곡인 piano trio 제4번 B^(b)장조, Op.11의 연구 분석을 통하여 Beethoven의 음악 세계를 이해하고 고전주의를 대표하는 작곡가로서의 그의 실내악 작품들이 어떠한 역할을 하였는지 알아 보는데에 본 연구의 목적을 두었다. 이 곡은 3악장으로 구성되며, 제 1, 2악장은 소나타형식, 제3악장은 주제와 9개의 변주 및 코다로 이루어진다. 각 악장간의 조성은 종래의 고전주의 소나타 양식을 따라 제1악장과 제3악장이 같은 조인 B^(b)장조, 제2악장은 버금딸림조인 E^(b)장조이다. 특히 그의 음악적 성격은 각 주제의 선율에서 잘 나타나며, 일정한 선율형의 반복, 모방진행, 동형진행등의 대위법적 기법이 전 악장을 통해 두드러지게 나타난다. 이러한 반복적 형태는 리듬에서도 적용되어 붓점 리듬, 당김음 등이 중요하게 사용되면서 변형, 반복 되어지는 가운데 trill과 장식음등의 리듬 변화가 곡을 발전시키는 중요한 요소로 쓰이고 있다. 또한 주요 선율의 배치도 상성인 제1바이올린(혹은 클라리넷)에 편중되어 있지 않고, 3개의 악기에 고르게 분배되어 있는 점도 이 곡의 특징이다.
