현행 중학교 전교과목에서 다루는 생물종류에 관한 연구

Abstract

현행 중학교 교육과정 중 생물 종류들이 어떻게 소개되고 있는지를 알아보기 위하여 과학 과목을 중심으로 현행 중학교 전과목의 교과서에 나오는 동물, 식물 및 원생생물의 다루어지는 종수와 빈도수를 조사한 결과는 아래와 같다. 1. 총 20 과목 전 교과서에 나오는 생물의 종수와 빈도수는 동물이 590 종, 2072회, 식물이 711 종, 2805회 그리고 원생생물이 59 종, 185회였다. 2. 과목별 생물의 출현 종수와 빈도수를 비교해 본 결과 종수는, 농업(254 종), 과학(196 종), 국어 (192 종) 수산업(103 종)순으로, 빈도수는 농업(1,079회 ), 국어(754 회), 과학(751회), 사회과부도(521회) 순으로 많이 나타났다. 3. 각 교과서에 나오는 생물을 분류해 본 결과 동물이 9 문 25 강 45 목 135 과이고 식물은 2 문 5 강 36 목 81 과이며, 원생생물은 6 문 14 강 18 목 23 과로서 총 17 문 44 강 99 목 239 과였다. 4. 과목 및 계열별로 많이 다루어지는 생물을 조사해본 결과 어문 계열의 과목은 국어의 경 우 동물과 식물의 정도가 비슷했고 영어는 동물을, 실업계열의 과목은 농업의 경우 식물을, 수산업의 경우 동물을 더 많이 다루었으며 과학계열과 예체능 계열의 과목은 동물을 더 많이 다루는 것으로 나타났다. 5. 과학 교과서에 수록된 생물이 총 196종인데 반해 생물 교과서에는 없고 타 교과서에만 수록된 생물이 총 326종으로 나타났다.;In order to obtain data for developing an ideal middle school biology curriculum in Korea, the number of species and their frequency of living organisms appearing in the Korean middle school textbooks were surveyed. As a result, the followings, were obtained : 1. An investigation of number of species and their frequency of appearance reveals total of 1360 species and 5062 times, consist of animal ( 590 species, 2,072 times ), plant( 711 species, 2,805 times), and protist(59 species, 185 times). 2. Among twenty different textbook, number of species are from high to low, in order of agriculture( 254 ), science( 196 ), Korean( 192 ), fisheries( 103 ), and domestic science( 97 ). Frequency of appearance is in order of agriculture( 1,079 ), science( 751 ), Korean( 754 ) and fisheries( 103 ). 3. Total of 135 families, 45 orders, 25 classes and 9 phyla of animal, 81 families. 36 orders, 5 classes, 2 phyla of plant and 23 families, 18 order, 1 4 classes, 6 phyla of protist appear in the Korean miiddle school textbook. 4. Comparing the biology textbook to others, it describes only 751 species, so the new editions of the middle school biology textbook exhibit the much progress for the establishment of the ideal middle school biology curriculum.
