제5차 교육과정에 따른 중학교 음악교과서 분석

Abstract

음악 교육이 음악을 통한 인간 교육이라고 한다면 음악 감상교육은 다양한 연주 형태의 음악을 풍부하게 경험함으로써 심미적인 능력과 태도를 길러주는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 음악교육에 있어서 교과서는 매우 중요한 매체이다. 따라서 음악 교과서에 선정, 수록되는 감상곡과 학습방법은 감상학습의 방향과 질을 결정하는데 있어서 가장 중요한 역할을 한다고 하겠다. 본 연구는 1987. 3. 31 문교부 고시 제87-7호로 개정된 제5차 교육과정의 음악 교육목표에 기초를 두고 저술된 5종의 검인정 중학교 음악교과서를 분석하여 현직 음악교사들이 감상 지도의 질적 향상을 위한 교사로서의 안목을 갖도록 하기 위해 하나의 자료를 제공하고 아울러 차기 교육과정 및 교과서 개편시에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 본 연구에서는 중학교 음악교과서에 나타난 감상 영역의 내용을 한국음악과 서양음악으로 크게 구분하고, 다시 감상곡의 종류와 연주 형태, 음악사 등으로 세분하여 분석하였다. 또한 감상학습 내용은 감상학습의 목표, 내용, 평가로 구분하여 분석하였다. 분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 감상 교재곡에 있어서 서양음악이 한국음악보다 더 많이 선정되고 있다. 이러한 현상은 민요에 있어서도 동일하게 나타나고 있는데 이것은 감상학습에 있어서 서양음악 편중성을 의미하는 것으로 해석된다. 2. 감상학습을 위하여 선정된 감상곡의 종류는 교향곡과 민요가 가장 많이 선정되고 있다. 감상곡의 연주 형태도 관현악을 가장 많이 선정하고 있으며 감상곡의 시대적 배경도 거의 고전파와 낭만파의 음악이 대부분을 이루고 있다. 한국음악에 있어서도 전통적인 민요와 판소리, 산조등이 많이 선정되고 있다. 앞으로 감상학습의 목표를 달성하기 위해서는 보다 다양한 종류의 악곡이 감상곡으로 선정되어야 할 것이다. 3. 저자에 따라 감상학습을 제시하는 체제가 각각 다르다. 감상 목표를 제시하는 경우와 제시하지 않는 경우가 있고, 학습 내용을 선정, 조직하는 방법도 서로 다르며, 평가의 내용도 각각 다르게 제시하고 있다. 이것은 교육과정에 음악 감상곡의 선정 기준, 교과 체제의 기준등이 분명하게 제시되지 못했기 때문으로 해석되며 앞으로 교육과정 개정시에는 이러한 기준들이 명료하게 제시되어야 할 것이다.;If we assume music education is education of the person through music, then appreciatory education in music improves the aesthetic attitude through a rich experience of music performed in various forms. For education of musical appreciation, the textbook is an important medium. Therefore it is assumed that the direction and quality are determined by the music pieces for appreciation enlisted in music textbooks. Hence an analysis of the area of appreciation enlisted in music textbooks. This study analyzes the five versions of textbooks compiled on the basis of the objectives of music education according to the fifth curriculum as are revised in Notice 87-7(March 31, 1987) by the Ministry of Education, and intends to help teachers have an eye for the qualitative improvement in appreciatory teaching and to provide fundamental materials for the further revision of the curriculum and textbooks. The area of appreciation in the middle school textbooks is mainly divided into Korean and Western music, and again subdivided into the type, the performance form of the pieces for appreciation, and the music history. The appreciatory learning for appreciatory activities is divided into the objective, content and evaluation of appreciatory learning. In summary 1. More pieces of Western music are selected for appreciatory learning than of Korean music. The same is observed in folk songs, which is interpreted as a preponderance of Western music in appreciatory learning. 2. For appreciation, symphonies and folk music are selected most frequently. The performance forms are mainly symphonies, and the most preferred pieces are of the Romantic era or before. In Korean music the most preferred ,are traditional folk songs, Pansori, and Sanjo. This shows a preference in cultural styles by emphasizing the classical music, though it is required that the appreciatory learning allow students to experience diversity in music. A wide range of music should be selected to achieve the objectives of appreciatory learning. 3. In the contents of appreciatory learning, the system of the textbook varies according to the author. The objectives of appreciatory learning are manifested in some of the textbooks, while not in others; the methods of selecting and organizing the contents for appreciation are different from one another; the contents are presented in different ways. This is because the standards for selecting the music pieces and for textbook systems are not clearly presented in the curriculum, and thus it is required that these issues be clarified in the further revision of the curriculum.
