중학교 소설 교육 연구

Abstract

4차 교육과정의 소설 교육을 교재를 대상으로 작품 선정의 타당성과 교육 내용의 타당성을 연구한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 4차 교육과정부터는 문학 교육의 독자성이 확보되었고 문학교육이 강화되는 추세에 따라 앞선 교육과정의 소설 작품보다 높은 수준의 소설 작품이 실리게 되었다. 둘째, 4차 교육과정의 소설 작품은 전체적으로 「고향의 꿈」을 제외한 다른 작품은 교재로서 문학적 수준이 적합하다고 볼 수 있다. 세째, 4차 교육과정의 소설 교육 내용과 작품 사이에서 서로 일치하지 않는 괴리가 있었다. 이는 문제점으로 볼 수 있다. 네째, 교과서의 교육 내용을 보면 소설에 대한 쟝르적 지식과 소설 작품에 대한 분석적 이해에만 치우쳐 감상 단계가 미흡한 점을 볼 수 있다. 다섯째, 교사용 지도서의 교육 내용을 보면 특히 제재 목표에 있어 소설의 특성상 꼭 필요없는 낭독 단계를 굳이 설정하고 있으며 무엇보다 소설의 내용과 교훈적 의미가 잘 연결되지 않는 목표도 있으며 특히 국가 이데올로기적인 가치관을 강조하는 측면이 있어 문제점으로 지적할 수 있다. 앞으로의 소설 교육은 좋은 수준의 작품이 교육과정에 일치하도록 선정되어야 하겠고 교육내용도 이해는 물론 감상 단계가 잘 이루어질 수 있어야 하며 국가 이데올로기적 가치관보다 인간 정신의 고양이 이루어질 수 있도록 되어야 하겠다.;The result of study on the validities of work- selection and educational content as a object of textbook, the novel-education of the 4th curriculum could get the following conclusions. First, from the 4th curriculum, the originality of literary education was secured and the high level works than those of the proceeding curriculum have been carried in accordance with the increasing intensification of literary education. Second, the novel-works of the 4th curriculum can be seen appropriate for literature-level as a textbook, totally another work suggesting 'the dream of home'. Third, there is an inconsistent alienation between the content of novel-education and the works of the 4th curriculum. It may be a problem. Fourth, in viewing the education-content of textbook, the lack of appreciative phase was appeared by inclining the knowledge of novel-genre and the analytical understanding of works. Fifth, in the educational content as a teaching guide-line for the teacher, the recitation phase, unnecessary in the qualities of novel in the objective of material was established, and above all there is the inconsecutive goal between the educational-content and the instructive meaning. Especially the emphasis on the valuation of national ideology could be seen, that is, which is a problematic issue. In the future of novel-education, we will have to select in order to agree the good works on the curriculum, harmonize not only the understanding and but also the appreciative phase of educational-content, and guide more the enhancement of human sprit than the valuation of national ideology.
