J. S. Bach의 Organ Mass에 대한 소고

Abstract

J. S. Bach는 바로크 음악의 완성자이며, 그리고 독일 교회음악의 대표자이다. 그의 많은 오르간 곡중에서도 Leipzig시기의 작품들은 가장 완숙된 작곡기법을 보여주는데 코랄을 기초로 한 오르간 미사(Organ Mass)도 이 시기에 작곡되었다. J . S. Bach의 「오르간 미사」는 교리문답에 기초한 다양한 코랄 프렐루드로 이루어 졌다. 루터의 교리문답에 따라 Bach는 각 코랄을 크고 작은 두곡씩 작곡하였다. 유일하게 <Allein Gott in der Ho¨h Sei Ehr>는 3곡으로 되어 있어 이는 성부, 성자 성령의 삼위일체를 상징한 것으로 보인다. 큰 곡(large setting )은 페달을 사용하는 전문가용으로 10곡에 해당하며 작은 곡(small setting )은 손 건반만 이용하는 애호가용으로 11곡에 달한다. 이 21개의 코랄 프렐루드는 「오르간 미사」의 주요 부분을 형성하고 있다. Prelude 와 Fugue E^(b) 장조는 이 곡집의 시작과 끝에 위치하는데 3개의 주제와 3부분 형식으로 되어 있어 삼위일체를 상징하고 있다. 「오르간 미사」에 수록되어 있는 곡들의 순서는 키리에 (Kyrie), 글로리아 (Gloria), 십계 (Ten Commandments), 사도신경(Creed), 주기도 ( Lord´s Prayer), 세례 (Baptism), 회개(Atonement), 성찬(Holy Communion)으로 독일의 미사 순서와 일치한다. cantos firmus 코랄, 모데트형, 캐논형, 장식형, 푸가형등 다양한 오르간코랄의 기법이 전문가를 위한 큰 곡에 사용되었고, 작은 곡은 코랄 선율의 제1행을 주제로 사용하며 소규모의 푸게타(fughetta)기법으로 되어 있다. 거대한 작품인 Bach의 「오르간 미사」는 오르간 코랄을 가지고 만든 21개의 코랄 프렐루드들이 소규모의 푸게타로부터 복잡한 캐논기법에 이르기까지 다양하게 구성되어 완숙된 작곡기법을 보여주고 있다. 그는 상징적인 표현좌 대위법적 기술로 가사의 내용을 음악에 나타내고 있으며 이는 J . S. Bach의 오르간 음악이 남긴 깊고 충실한 예술적 성과임을 알 수 있다.;J. S. Bach is a perfecter of barogue music and representative of German church music. The works of Leipzig period show the most mature compositional technique of all his organ music, and the Organ Mass based on chorales was composed at this period. J.S. Bach's Organ Mass consisted of various chorale prelude based on the catechesm. Bach composed two large and small settings by each chorle according to Luther's catechesm. Only the work of <Allein Gott in der Ho＂h sei Ehr> was composed of three pieces which had different formation, and these are considered to represent the Trinity of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. The large setting is ten pieces used for the expert using the pedal, while the small is organized by eleven pieces for the amateur using only the manual. These twenty-one chorale prelude formed the main parts of Organ Mass. <Prelude and Fugue E＾b major> are located at the beginning and the end of this piece and are made up of three themes and the form of three parts meaning the Trinity. The organ Mass are collected in order of kyrie, Gloria, Ten Commandments, Creed, Lord's prayer, Baptism, Atonement and Holy Communication, and this order coincides with that of German Mass. The several organ chorale techniques such as c. f. chorale, motet, canon, ornamention, fugue are used in large setting for the expert, and small setting used the first line of the chorale melody as the theme and had the small fughetta technique. As a result of studying the masterpiece of the Organ Mass, I see that the twenty-one chorale preludes made by means of the organ chorale consist of diverse facts, from the small fughetta till the complex canon technique, and he expresses the contents of words in music by means of symbolic expressions and contrapuntal descriptions, which is a deep, full and artistic result of his organ music.
