한국 대학도서관의 학부도서관 이용에 관한 연구

Abstract

학부학생의 격증과 발전된 교과과정은 방대한 종합대학의 도서관 자료를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있는 기능적 봉사체제의 도서관운영과 도서관자료를 능동적인 방법으로 이용하도록 요구하고 있다. 본 연구는 종합대학도서관에서 중요한 역할을 하는 학부도서실의 이용현황을 조사 분석하므로서 기능적이고 능동적인 봉사를 효과적으로 할수 있는 방안을 모색하는데 촛점을 두고 있다. 서울시내 4개 종합대학을 대상으로 조사한 결과, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 학부도서실은 중앙도서관내에 위치하는 것이 효율적이다. 2. 장서는 대학교의 교수요목에 의거한 모든 교과과정과 관련된 필독도서 보충도서 참고도서 및 교양도서를 포함한다. 3. 지정도서를 포함한 모든 자료는 개가제로 비치한다. 4. 장서는 충분한 복본 비치가 요구되며 최신성을 유지하여야 한다. 5. 장서는 모든 주제를 망라하여 효과적으로 구성하여야 한다. 6. 자료의 대출기간은 교양도서와 보충도서는 회전이 가능하도록 2~3일의 과외대출, 필독도서는 관내 및 밤새대출을 허용하는 것이 바람직하다. 7. 도서선정은 교수가 참여하여야 하며 사서의 협력이 요구된다. 8. 사서는 전문직사서와 비전문직사서를 확보하여야 한다. 9. 사서는 학부학생을 지도하는 교육적인 업무를 담당한다. 10. 자료구입예산은 필독도서, 보충도서를 우선 순위로 책정한다.;The meet the need for recent development of curricula and rapid increase in undergraduate enrollment in korea universities, university library has been expanded to such an extent that the library's extreme collection of reference and documents require a certain functional management system to secure active use on the student side. This survey is conducted on and analized the current utilization of undergraduate libraries of four universities in Seoul area with emphasis on finding the effective way of providing functional service. The following are the summary of findings of this study: 1. Undergraduate library should be located in the main library building for effective service. 2. Undergraduate collection should include required reading collateral and reference materials as well as books on liberal arts. 3. All collections including books on reserve should be placed on open shelf. 4. undergraduate library should be provided with necessary amount of duplicate copies and be up-dated. 5. The collection should cover all the related subjects for effectiveness. 6. For fair circulation, checking out should be limited to no more than two or three days for books on liberal arts and collateral reading. Required reading materials should be limited to in house reading and overnight loan. 7. Book selection should be made by professors with full cooperation of librarians. 8. The undergraduate library should be staffed with both professional librarians and supporting staff. 9. Librarians should render necessary instructional service for undergraduate students. 10. Full consideration must be given to required and collateral reading materials for funding.
