현대음악의 표현방법을 이용한 창작교육에 관한 연구

Abstract

As the time changes all the culture follows the change of pattern. The music has not been an exception. It has presented chain of successive changes in line with continuous flow of the time. We have a new music of our time, so called “Modern Music” of quite different pattern form that of the traditional music. It has been renovated in elements, rhythm melody harmony and form. Most people are still doubtfull over the character of these renovation of music and have reached negatively against the modern music. It has been almost excluded form the subject of lesson of music education in the school. However, it must not be proper if we do not make an effort to understand the modern music or make light of it, in that, it is the outcome of the cultural environment of this time in which we live in. It must not be estranged totally only because of its new characteristics. This study is purported to give to the music education a new method of learning which may bring about the creative work to encourage development of original gift primarily of those who are on the middle school course. The new method of learning of music has been suggested by looking with sympathetic mind in the new method of expression of the modern music. As the first step, a new concept of the music has been introduced to distinguish from that of the traditional music and thus to provide a way leading to understanding the modern music Secondly, the Characteristics of the modern music has been more fully explained to enable the elements of the modern music to serve the creative learning of music, because it is important to know what is represented in the modern score. Thirdly, the characteristics of the modern music have been reduced to fundamental elements with which to make the subject of lesson of music for students. The progress of this study is intented to result in possible presentation of a new sound through employment of voice, instrument, or means of reproduction. The new sound will, then, be utilized as a method of learning of creation of new form. A free and creative representation of modern music through the learning the way of which is suggested in the above can eventually be included in the subject of music education and thus the modern music will become to occupy a legitimate standing in the process of development of the modern culture.;시대의 변화에 따라 모든 문화가 변하듯이 음악도 시대의 흐름에 따라 변화해 왔다. 특히 오늘날의 음악은 과거의 음악과는 그 양식에 있어서 매우 다른 음악으로서 이러한 음악을 우리는 현대음악이라고 부른다. 현대음악은 음의 소재, 리듬, 멜로디, 화성, 형식 등에 있어서 혁신적인 성격을 띠고 있다. 이러한 혁신성 때문에 대부분의 사람들은 현대음악에 대해 거부적인 반응을 보이고 있으며, 학교 음악교육에서도 거의 다루지 않고 있다. 그러나 과거의 음악교육에만 치우칠 것이 아니라 이 시대의 문화적 소산인 현대음악에도 관심을 가지고, 학교음악교육에서 다른 시대의 음악과 적절한 비율이 되도록 가르쳐야 할 것이다. 본 논문은 중학교 과정에서 현대음악을 이해하고 가르치도록 하기 위하여, 현대음악의 표현방법을 이용하여 창작학습을 하도록 하기 위한 학습방법을 제시함으로써 창조적 재능을 기르도록 하는 문제에 관심을 가지고 연구하였다. 첫째, 현대에 있어서는 음악에 대한 개념이 과거와 다르므로 현대음악의 개념에 대해 언급하였으며, 둘째, 현대음악의 소재를 이용하여 창작학습을 하기 위해서는 먼저 현대음악의 특징을 알아야 할 것이므로 그 특징을 살펴 보았으며, 셋째, 실제 학습에 있어서 우선 음악의 요소별 학습활동을 한 후에 목소리, 악기, 도구등을 사용하여 새로운 소리의 가능성을 모색하였으며, 찾아낸 새로운 소리를 가지고 여러가지 새로운 형태의 창작을 하는 학습방법을 제시하였다. 이 학습활동의 결과로서 음악을 창조적으로 자유롭게 표현하는 과정을 통해 현대음악에 대해 관심을 가지게 되며, 이해하려는 노력을 하게 된다. 그러므로써 현대음악에 대한 이해와 접근은 자연스럽게 이루어지리라 생각한다.
