중등학생의 민족의식에 관한 연구

Abstract

本 硏究의 必要性은 '韓國의 民族主義的 課題, 즉 對外的 課題로서 獨立과 對內的 課題로서 統合, 또 民族自我의 實現이라는 課題를 解決하기 위해서는 앞으로 韓國의 未來를 이끌어 나아갈 中等學生들의 올바른 民族意識이 절실히 必要하다는 생각에서 中等學生들에게 올바른 民族意識을 涵養시킬 수 있는 敎育的 方案을 찾자 는데 있다. 本 硏究의 目的은 中等學生들의 民族意識은 어떠한가를 調査分析하여 그 結果를 男女別, 中高別, 父의 學歷, 母의 學歷과 父의 職業에 따라 比較分析하여 中等學生들에게 올바른 民族意識을 涵養시킬 수 있는 敎育的 方案을 찾는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 基礎資料를 提供하자는데 있다. 本 硏究의 內容은 中等學生들의 愛國心, 民族的 矜持, 民族國家에 대한 滿足度, 中等學生들이 尊敬하는 人物, 中等學生들이 생각하는 韓國人의 長短點等을 調査分析하였다. 本 硏究의 方法으로는 1,200名을 對象으로 實施한 設問紙 調査와 관련문헌의 調査를 通하여 수행되었다. 統計的 處理에 있어서는 百分率을 산출하였다. 本 硏究의 制限點은 全國의 모든 中等學生을 對象으로 實施되지 못하고 서울의 一部地域에 局限되어 實施되었기 때문에 調査結果가 中等學生들의 一般的인 類型이라고 보기 어렵다는 점과 調査方法이 設問紙에 局限되었기 때문에 調査領域이 設問紙에만 限定되어 있다는 것이다. 本 硏究의 調査結果 中等學生들의 民族意識이 어떠한가를 말하기가 어렵다. 어떤 次元에서는 높고 다른 次元에서는 낮게 나왔기 때문이다. 즉 韓國人임에 대한 矜持, 未來展望에 대한 矜持, 政治 發展, 先祖의 業績에 對한 矜持는 높았으며 民族史에 대한 矜持, 經濟發展에 대한 矜持, 文化民族으로서의 矜持는 낮게 나타났다. 또 愛國心은 不足한 것으로 나타났으나 民族國家에 대해서는 滿足 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이것을 男女別, 中高別, 父의 學歷, 母의 學歷, 父의 職業에 따라 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 男學生이 女學生보다 매체로 民族意識이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 中學生이 高等學生보다 대체로 民族意識이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋께, 父의 學歷이 높은 學生이 父의 學歷이 낮은 學生보다 民族意識이 더 낮게 나타났다. 넷째, 母의 學歷이 높은 學生이 母의 學歷이 낮은 學生보다 民族意識이 더 낮게 나타났다. 다섯째, 父의 學歷이 母의 學歷보다 대체로 學生들의 民族意識에 더많은 影響을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 父의 職業이 公職者인 學生의 民族意識이 대체로 낮게 나타났으며 父의 職業이 農業인 學生의 民族意識이 대체로 더 높게 나타났다.;This study has been attempted to find the educational methods to foster the righteous national consciousness, which consists of the independence as an external subject, the union as an internal subject, and the national selfhood, to the secondary school students that will lead the future of Korea. And the purpose of this study is to suggest the fundamental materials through investigating the national consciousness and analyzing its results according to the sex, age, educational level and the occupation of their parents, in order to find the educational methods to improve the appropriate national consciousness to the secondary school students. This study has treated of the patriotism and national dignity, satisfaction for the national country, respected persons for them, and the strength and the weakness of Koreans by analyzing of taking a census. The study is implemented with the questionaire methods for 1200 students and various bibliographies. The statistical process utilizes the percentage and Chi-square test for the error detection. The results, however, are obtained from the questionaires, and they are limited of Seoul district. This study says that the students' racial spirit cannot be mentioned in the same breath, because the percentage in each and every item shows different. Each of the items, namely, pride on 'being a Korean' or 'the future prospect' or 'political growth' or 'ancestors' achievements' takes a high rate. On the other hand, pride on 'national history' or 'economic development' or 'being a cultured nation' shows low in its rate. Also this study shows that the students' patriotism is slight, however, they are satisfied with their nation-state. Let us look into the statistical research, here, according to their sexes, schools, and parents' school career, and their fathers' occupations. It is as follows; 1) Boy students have stronger nationalism than girl students. 2) Middle school students have stronger nationalism than High school students. 3) The nationalism of students is inversely proportional to the educational levels of fathers. 4) The nationalism of the students is also inversely proportional to the educational levels of mothers. 5) Father's educational levels affect the nationalism to the more extent than mother's. 6) The Nationalism of students, whose fathers are farmers, is high, and that of the students, whose fathers are public officials, is low.
