Abstract
Motion-Compensated Temporal Filtering(MCTF)는 기존의 Motion Estimation Scheme과 Wavelet Scheme의 효율성을 모두 그 특징으로 갖는 혁신적 Video Coding Scheme으로 현재 ITU-T Recommendation H.264

ISO/IEC International Standard ISO/IEC 14496-10 Advanced Video의 Extension으로 표준화 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 Scalable Video Encoding의 핵심 block인 MCTF block의 실시간 처리를 가능케 하는 hardware 구현을 위해 전체 architecture와 computational complexity, external memory access, storage size을 포함하는 성능 분석을 바탕으로 storage size를 줄일 수 있는 구조를 제안하였다. 제안된 구조를 적용시키기 위해 선택된 MCTF parameter 값들 (MCTF iteration Level, Basic block size for Motion Estimation, search range size, GOP size )은 C modeling 과 알고리즘 분석을 통해 값을 결정 하였다.;Motion Compensate Temporal Filtering (MCTF) is a innovative video coding scheme that has efficiency of established Motion Estimation Scheme and Wavelet transform. In this paper, the structure that can reduce storage size is proposed for the realization of the hardware that can be real time processing of the MCTF block; a point block of the Scalable Video Encoding MCTF parameters (MCTF iteration Level, Basic block size for Motion Estimation, search range size, GOP size) that are chosen for making application for the proposed structure are determinated by some of C modelings and analysises of the algorithm.
