교사의 피드백이 들어간 웹토론 게시판 설계 및 구현

Abstract

정보통신 기술의 발전은 국가와 사회 각 부문의 패러다임 전환을 요구하고 있으며, 사회의 여러 패러다임이 변화하면서 교육에도 정보화의 물결이 거세게 일고 있다. 이러한 지식정보화시대의 교육적인 필요에 부응하기 위해서는 유연하고 다양한 학습활동의 제공과 자기 주도적 학습능력 및 창의력, 문제 해결력을 신장할 수 있고, 동기유발을 통한 능동적인 학습 참여를 유도할 수 있는 교육의 장을 마련해야 한다. 즉, 정보화 사회를 선도할 수 있는 창의적인 인재를 양성할 수 있도록 교수-학습체제의 도입이 요구되고 있으며, 정보 통신 기술의 교육적 활용 가능성을 넓혀 교육의 질을 개선할 수 있는 방안이 모색되어야 한다. 이러한 관점에서 현재 시행되고 있는 제 7차 교육과정과 더불어 강조되기 시작한 ICT(Information & Communication Technology) 활용 수업의 활동 형태는 정보 통신 기술의 특성 및 교육적 활동 기능성과 관련하여 다양한 교수-학습 활동을 제공하고 있다. 그 가운데 웹 토론 하기는 채팅이나 게시판, 전자우편 등을 활용하여 어떤 특정한 주제에 대해 허락이 된 참여자들 또는 불특정 다수 누구나가 자신의 의견을 게시할 수 있는 교수-학습 유형으로, 타인의 의견 존중 및 합리적 사고력을 함양하거나 혹은 면대면 토론 학습에 부담감을 갖고 있는 학습자들을 적극 참여시켜 의사 표현 능력을 신장시킬 수 있는 특징을 가지고 있다. 이러한 장점을 바탕으로 설계된 기존의 웹 토론 게시판들은 하이퍼링크 시스템의 활용, 그래픽과 다양한 아이콘 사용, 게시판과 이메일을 통한 상호작용 등 웹의 특성을 잘 활용하고 있으나, 학생 개개인의 토론 활동에 따른 교사의 적절한 피드백 제공은 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 점에 착안하여 교사의 피드백이 제공되는 웹 토론 게시판을 설계 및 구현하는데 그 목적이 있다. 학생 개개인에게 제공되는 교사의 피드백은 지속적인 토론 훈련과 함께 적극적인 학습태도를 유지하여 토론 능력 향상 및 토론 환경 개선이 이루어 질 수 있는 이점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서 구현한 웹 토론 게시판에서는 토론이 진행되는 전 과정에 걸쳐서 교사의 적절한 방향 제시 및 안내가 이루어지며, 학습자가 게시한 토론주제 및 토론의견에 대해 교사가 피드백을 제공할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 토론에 대한 찬/반 의견을 한 화면에 보여줌으로써 대립되는 의견들을 비교하여 자신의 의견을 정확히 게시할 수 있도록 하였다. 끝으로 이렇게 구현된 웹 토론 게시판을 학교 현장에서 학생들을 대상으로 직접 적용해 보고 활용 가능한 방안을 제시하여 더욱 발전된 토론 환경을 통한 토론 능력 향상의 교육적 효과를 기대해 본다.; The development of the information and communication technology requires new paradigms for the country and society. As the social paradigms change, the information revolution evolves in the education. To satisfy the educational needs of the knowledge-information-oriented age, the education that can supply flexible and multifarious study activities, self-leading learning ability, creativity, problem-solving ability and that can guide to active participation in education by motivation is needed. The introduction of the teaching-learning system that can produce creative people who can lead the information society is required, and the method to improve the quality of education must be researched by increasing the educational use of the information and communication technology. The class using ICT(Information and Communication Technology) that is emphasized in The 7th Curriculum now carried out supplies various teaching-learning activities concerned with the characteristics and the potentiality of educational use of the information and communication technology. Web discussion is a type of teaching-learning system that not only permitted participants but also unspecified persons can post their own opinions about certain topics by chatting, boards and e-mails. It can cultivate respects for other peoples opinion and rational thinking, and can improve the ability of expressing ones own thoughts by making learners participate actively who is reluctant to take part in the face to face discussion study. Existing web discussion boards based on these advantages make the most of the hyper link system, graphics and various icons, interactivity using boards and e-mails, but rarely offer the function for the teachers to give feedbacks to the discussion activities of the individual students. Therefore the object of this study is to design and make the web discussion board which can offer the feedback of the teachers. The teachers feedback to individual students has an advantage that improves their discussion abilities and discussion environments by continuous discussion trainings and by maintaining active attitudes to learning. With the web discussion board designed by this study, the teachers proper directions and guides are achieved throughout all the processes of the discussion, and teachers can offer feedbacks to the discussion topics and opinions posted by learners. And by showing the for and against opinions to the discussion topic in same screen, they can post their own opinions correctly after comparing opponent opinions on the screen. Finally, applying this web discussion board to the actual school students, the educational effect of discussion ability improvement with more developed discussion environment is expected.
