J. S. Bach Invention 기초학습의 교재 선택을 위한 Edition 연구 : Phrasing과 Articulation을 중심으로

Abstract

이 논문은 바하 인벤션 교재를 선택하려는 학습자나 교습자들에게 그들의 학습상황에 맞는 국내교재를 적절히 선택, 활용할 수 있는 길잡이로서의 역할과 더불어 바하 인벤션의 연주 양식의 특징에 대한 이해력을 높이는 데에도 도움을 주는 것이 목적이다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 보다 현실적으로 국내 유명서점에서 쉽게 구할 수 있는 국내 출판의 인벤션 곡집 5권을 대상으로 원전판(Urtext)과 비교, 연구하고자 한다. 먼저 이론적 배경에서는 인벤션에 대한 선행연구들을 살펴보고 그 시대에 사용했던 건반악기의 종류 및 특성, 인벤션의 교육적 가치, 바하 음악의 연주법에 대하여 살펴보았다. 본문에서는 이 연구를 하는데 중점을 둔 프레이징과 아티큘레이션에 대한 개념, 역사, 종류, 그리고 바로크 음악에서의 프레이징과 아티큘레이션을 살펴보았으며, 바하 인벤션 2성 인벤티오 15곡을 프레이징과 아티큘레이션을 중심으로 원전판과 국내 출판 Edition들의 일반적인 해석과 규칙, 그리고 작품 양식을 비교 연구하였다. 그 결과 Edition들은 원전판을 중심으로 서로 다른 해석을 보이고 있었으며, 이 해석들은 각 곡마다 너무나 다양하게 나타났다. 전체적으로 세광판은 원전판과 같이 거의 아무런 표시를 하고 있지 않는 곡이 많았고, 태림판은 프레이징과 아티큘레이션을 제시하지 않은 곡과 해석을 첨가한 곡들을 비슷한 비율로 싣고 있었으며, 일신판과 현대판에서는 도약하는 음이나 슬러의 끝음에 스타카토를 자주 표시하고 있었다. 또한 일신판은 악보에 주제와 대주제를 표시해 주고 있으며, 곡의 구성에 대해서도 각 곡의 시작부분에 간단하게 소개하고 있었다. 음악춘추판은 이들 해석판 중 가장 많은 프레이징과 아티큘레이션을 표시하고 있었고 특히 14번 내림 나장조의 곡은 음가의 2배로 늘려서 출판하였다. 바하 인벤션을 학습하고자 교재를 선택할 때는 음악적 해석 능력이 뛰어나서 많은 해석이 필요 없거나 바하 음악에 대한 지식이 전혀 없어서 자세한 해석이 있는 교재가 필요한 경우, 또는 적당한 해석이 있는 교재를 원하는 교습자나 학습자 등 그들의 학습상황은 너무나 다양하다. 따라서 이 연구가 바하 인벤션을 학습하기 위하여 교재를 선택하려는 학습자 혹은 교습자들에게 교재선택을 위한 정보를 주고 바하의 음악을 올바르게 이해하여 지적(知的)으로 해석하고 바하 곡의 기초 학습에 있어서 도움이 되었으면 한다. 그러나 어떤 교재를 선택하고 활용하는가하는 문제는 그들 자신들의 판단에 달려있다. 마지막으로 이 논문은 2성 인벤션을 대상으로 연구하였지만 앞으로 3성에 대한 연구가 이어지기를 바란다. ; The purpose of this study is to give lessoners and students the chance to select the right edition fitting their educational conditions. Also this study will help lessoners and students to understand the characteristic performance of Bach Invention. Therefore, this study compares 5 books of Invention Editions, published domestically and available in any famous bookstore, to the original (Urtext). The study process is as follows: Theoretically, the pre-research about Invention is referred, and the various kinds and characters of the keyboard instrument used in the Baroque are researched. Moreover, the educational value of Invention and the formal playing style of Bach Invention are also studies. In the main text, the definition, the history and the type of “Phrasing and Articulation” is researched and “Phrasing and Articulation” in Baroque Music is referred. Then, the way of interpretation and regulation and the style in the Bach Invention Two-part Invention 15 works are compared between in the original (Urtext) and in the domestically published editions. In the conclusion from above studies, all the interpreted editions are different from the Urtext and their interpretation are various one another. Sekwang Edition has no mark just like the Urtext and Taerim Edition has works without interpretation as well as works with interpretation at the same volumes. Il-Sin Edition and Hyundai Edition has staccato marks on the final note of small and large interval and slur. IL-Sin Edition also emphasizes on the subject and the counterpoint and has a brief introduction of the form in the beginning of the works. Eumag Choonchu Edition has more marks on Phrasing and Articulation than any other edition. Especially, it contains No. 14, Bb Major extending twice note value in Eumag Choonchu Edition. In the selection of J. S. Bach Invention text, while someone already possesses the musical ability not to supplement detailed interpretation, others have no acknowledgement about Bach Invention and need full explanation. Also some need the text containing half interpretation. The educational environment is all different case by case. Therefore, this study gives those, who have various needs for Bach Invention, the proper information to choose the right edition and help them understand Bach music properly. Also this study wants to give a help to the beginners of piano and appreciate Bach music intelligently. However, it depends on the judgment of students and lessoners while edition they will refer to. They should make their own judgment by themselves. Additionally, the edition that this study refers to is two-part Invention, so more studies will continue focusing on the three-part Invention.
