또래관계와 심리사회적 적응과의 관계에 대한 연구 : 여고생을 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 최근 문제가 되고 있는 또래관계에 초점을 맞추어 또래관계에서의 사회측정적위치(sociometric status)에 따른 개인의 심리사회적 적응정도를 알아내고자 하였다. 문헌연구를 통하여 고독감 및 사회적 불만족과 불안을 개인적 특성으로 선정하고, 배척집단, 무시집단, 평범집단, 인기집단간의 차이를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 서울지역 ㅅ 여자고등학교 5개 학급, 251명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 본 조사에서는 고독감 및 사회적 불만족, 불안척도, 사회측정적 지위를 구별하기 위하여 또래지명 설문지를 실시하였다. 조사결과 배척집단 23명, 무시집단 35명, 평범집단 54명, 인기집단 30명이 연구대상으로 구별되었고 네 개의 집단간 차이분석을 시행하였다. 그 후 배척집단에 대해서는 고독감과 불안점수를 토대로 군집분석을 실시하였으며 배척집단 하위유형을 포함하여 다섯 개의 집단간 차이분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 제기한 연구문제와 그에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 비인기집단(배척집단 및 무시집단)의 청소년들은 고독감 및 사회적 불만족과 불안 정도에서 다른 지위집단과 차이가 있을 것인가? 연구결과, 고독감 및 사회적 불만족점수에서 무시집단이 인기집단 및 평범집단에 비해 유의하게 높았으며 불안점수에서 인기집단에 비해 유의하게 높았다. 둘째, 배척집단의 구성원들은 고독감 및 사회적 불만족과 불안정도에 차이가 있을 것인가? 군집분석 결과 배척집단은 고독감 점수와 불안점수에서 유의하게 높은 집단과 낮은 집단으로 구분되었다. 셋째, 배척집단(하위유형별) 및 무시집단은 다른 지위집단과 고독감과 불안정도에 차이가 있을 것인가? 고독감의 경우 무시집단과 배척-상 집단이 인기집단, 배척-하 집단, 평범집단에 비해 더 많은 고독감을 느끼는 것으로 나타났으며 불안의 경우에는 무시집단이 인기집단과 유의한 차이를 보였으며 배척-상 집단의 경우에는 무시집단을 제외한 인기집단, 배척-하 집단, 평범집단과 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 본 연구의 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 또래로부터 잘 수용되지 못하는 경험이 청소년기의 고독감 및 사회적 불만족과 불안에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 친구관계로 인해 여러 가지 갈등을 겪고있는 학생들에게 적절한 상담적 도움을 줄 수 있으리라 기대된다. 둘째, 여러 연구에서 간과되었던 무시집단 아이들의 고독감 및 사회적 불만족과 불안정도를 밝혀냈다는 점이다. 이러한 무시집단 아이들을 위한 앞으로의 더 많은 연구와 상담적 개입이 필요하리라고 본다. 셋째, 배척당하는 청소년들은 심리적 적응상에 별다른 문제를 보이지 않는 집단과 심리적 적응에 있어서 심한 어려움을 느끼는 집단으로 양분되었는데, 심리적 적응상에 문제를 보이는 집단에 대한 앞으로의 더 많은 연구가 필요하리라고 본다. 넷째, 자기 보고법을 사용한 기존의 연구방법과는 달리 또래간의 관계에 대한 연구에서 가장 정확하다고 할 수 있는 또래 지명법을 사용하여 또래집단 내에서의 사회측정적지위를 구별한 점은 이후 연구에 방법론적 측면에서 시사하는 바가 크다. ; This study was designed to identify loneliness and anxiety associated with peer relation in early adolescence. Through academic review, loneliness and anxiety was selected as study variables. Second grade high school woman students(N=251) were administered with the following three measurements positive and negative sociometric nominations, a loneliness and social dissatisfaction, and trait-anxiety questionnare. Finally, rejected, neglected, average and popular group were selected as target group. The following research questions are to be considered in detail. Firstly, is there significant difference in the loneliness and anxiety between unpopular group(neglected and rejected group) and another group? Secondly, are rejected students divided into two sub-groups according to the extent of the loneliness and anxiety? Thirdly, is there significant difference in the loneliness and anxiety among sub-groups of rejected group, neglected group and other sociometric status groups. The main results of this study are as follows; Firstly, neglected group expressed more loneliness than popular and average group, and more anxiety than popular group. The difference was stastically significant. Secondly, rejected group was divided into two sub-groups with the loneliness and anxiety. Because an additional purpose of the present study was to identify subgroups of peer-rejected students and to examine differences between the subgroups in loneliness and anxiety. the difference was statistically significant. Thirdly, neglected and rejected group(upper-group) was lonelier than popular, average, rejected group(lower-group). neglected group was more anxious than popular group, and rejected group(upper-group) was more anxious than popular, average, rejected group(lower-group). The suggestion of this study are as follows. Firstly, this study vertified the effect of peer relation on loneliness and anxiety in early adolescence, and is to provide unpopular students appropriate counseling. Secondly, this study vertified the psychological conflict of neglected group. Thirdly, this study vertified that part of rejected group feel extreme psychological conflict but the other part of rejected group shouldn t feel psychological conflict. Fourthly, in peer classification, this study choosed the most exact peer nomination.
