dc.description.abstractTwo lignans, compound I, C_23H_26O_6, mp 108-110℃ were isolated from Korean red ginseng extract by column chromatographic purification. Compound I was identified as gomisin N and compound III as gomisin A by spectrometric analysis, both of which have already been reported as the antihepatotoxic lignan components of Shizandra chinensis Baill. And compound II and compound IV were identified as β-sitosterol and daucosterol, β-sitosterol-glucoside, both of which have already been described as ginseng components.-
