중국 시청자의 한국 드라마 시청행태가 개인들의 물질주의적 가치관 및 삶에 대한 만족도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

Television tends to portray a more wealthy world that is different from the actual world. Many television programs unrealistically represent or exaggerate the world in terms of possessions and consumption for the sake of arousing the interest of views. And then, the unrealistic portrayals of wealth embedded in television may deteriorate viewers’ subjective well-being. Nowadays, korean drama is so popular in China that we should not take the effect of korean drama lightly. Especially, It is said that there are some unrealistic portrayals of wealth embedded in korean drama. So this study would research how chinese audience think about the korean drama contents; the relations between television viewing behavior and material value, satisfaction with life. The model was regression analyzed using data from surveys administered to 184 undergraduate students. The results of the study showed that the chinese audience thought korean drama content is embedded with many material elements. The amount of korean drama viewing one day was positively associated with material value; and the sense of realism of korean drama was positively associated with possessive material value. The study also revealed that the amount of korean drama viewing one day and the sense of realism of korean drama were negatively associated with satisfaction of present life; One’s material value was positively associated with satisfaction with present life. Finally, one’s pursuit of happiness material value was negatively associated with satisfaction of expectation life. The hypotheses were supported partly in this study. Based on the global communication, the relation between korean drama viewing and the effect of korean drama viewing should be researched in other Asian countries as well as in china in the future study.;텔레비전 프로그램이 부와 관련하여 보여주는 이미지 세계는 상당부분 비현실적이거나 과장 왜곡되어 있다. 많은 시청자들의 관심과 흥미를 유발하려는 의도에서 고안된 이런 기제들이 결국은 물질주의적 가치관을 배양하고 아울러 개인적 삶의 만족도 저하를 가져올 수 있음을 본 연구에서 지적하였다. 요즘, 한국 드라마는 중국에서 방송하여 큰 호평을 얻는 것을 보면 한국 드라마가 중국 시청자에 미치는 영향을 얕볼 수 없다. 특히, 한국 드라마에서 담는 물질주의적인 내용이 많다고 지적하였다. 이에 본 연구에서 중국 시청자들은 한국 드라마 내용에 관한 인식, 한국 드라마의 시청행태가 개인들의 물질주의 성향에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 연구하며, 아울러 개인들의 삶의 만족도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 마지막, 개인들의 물질주의 성향과 삶의 만족도 지간의 관계도 분석하였다. 본 연구는 중국 대학생 184명으로부터 획득한 설문조사 자료를 대상으로 위계회귀분석을 실시하였다. 조사 자료의 분석결과는 중국 시청자들은 한국 드라마를 평가할 때 물질적인 편이라고 생각한다. 한국 드라마 하루의 시청시간이 많을수록 개인들의 물질주의 성향이 더 높다. 한국 드라마에 대한 현실감이 높을수록 개인들의 소유형 물질주의 성향이 높다. 한국 드라마 하루의 시청시간이 많을수록 개인들의 타인 대비 삶의 만족도가 더 낮다. 한국 드라마에 대한 현실감이 높을수록 개인들의 타인 대비 삶의 만족도가 더 낮다. 물질주의 성향이 높을수록 개인들의 타인 대비 삶의 만족도가 더 높다. 행복추구형 물질주의 성향이 높을수록 개인들의 예상 대비 삶의 만족도가 더 낮다는 결과가 보여주었다. 영상물의 국제유통 층면에 있어서 중국뿐만 아니라 한국 드라마의 시청은 다른 아시아 나라에서 어떤 시청효과를 일으키는지 후속 연구에서 연구하시길 바란다.
