유아교육기관 장학 관련 논문 연구동향 분석

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to survey the ways in which the supervision is being received in early childhood educational institutions by studying dissertations in this regard and to advance a constructive idea with regard to the future direction the study on supervision should take. The following are the questions central to the thesis of my research: 1. What is the trend of the research contents related to the supervision on early childhood institutions? 1-1. What is the tendency of problems raised in the study of supervision? 1-2. What is the trend of the terminology as shown in dissertations related to supervision? 1-3. What are the subjects, places, and methods covered in supervision? 1-4. What is the role of supervision as shown in the dissertations in this regard? 2. What is the trend of study subjects in the dissertations on the supervision on the early childhood institutions? 3. What research methods are used in the dissertations related to the supervision on the early childhood institution? The research subjects used in this study are the dissertations on the supervision in the field of early childhood education, as well as the articles found on the relevant academic journals, both of whose sources accessed by using the following search engines: Korean Studies Information System; Research Information Sharing Service; and National Assembly Library. The first dissertation retrieved in online archive is 'Study on the Instructional Supervision on Kindergartens' by Choi Duk Ho published in 1987. Therefore, the period of dissertations collected for this study runs from 1987 to 2010, and the total number of them amounts to 224. The research results can be summarized by the following: First, among the research subjects covered are 'the design of supervision models and case studies', ‘expectations and demands on supervision', 'awareness on supervision', and 'the current status of supervision and the ways to its improvement', while the last of which found to be dealt with the most. With regard to the choice of words, various terms associated with supervision can be identified. In addition, a term is often combined with another or used in an inflected manner at the writer's discretion. Supervision models most often studied are the autonomous supervision in terms of subjects, the outdoor supervision in location, and the self-directed supervision in methods. In analyzing the contents of the dissertations on supervision, it is shown that the number of them concerning the function of supervision remains much lower, and only the technical aspects of 'the effectiveness of professors' and 'the growth and the development of teachers' have been studied. Second, my research indicates the study subjects most often dealt with in the dissertations on supervision are kindergarten teachers followed by daycare center teachers, directors of kindergarten, and the vice directors. Third, as for the research methods employed, studies using quantity oriented methods found to be more predominant than those using quality oriented ones, while survey being the most popular research tool followed by case studies, and literature studies.;본 연구는 유아교육기관 장학 관련 논문을 통해 유아교육기관에서 장학이 어떻게 받아들여지고 있는지 살펴보고 앞으로 이루어져야 할 장학 연구의 방향성을 제시하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 따른 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 유아교육기관 장학 관련 논문의 연구 내용 경향은 어떠한가? 1-1. 연구 문제의 경향은 어떠한가? 1-2. 장학 관련 논문에 사용된 용어의 경향은 어떠한가? 1-3. 장학의 주체, 장소, 방법은 어떠한가? 1-4. 장학 관련 논문에 나타난 장학의 기능은 어떠한가? 2. 유아교육기관 장학 관련 논문의 연구 대상 경향은 어떠한가? 3. 유아교육기관 장학 관련 논문의 연구 방법 경향은 어떠한가? 본 연구의 대상은 유아교육 분야에서 장학과 관련된 학위논문 및 학술지에 게재된 논문이다. 대상 논문 검색은 전자한국학술정보, 학술연구정보서비스, 국회도서관에서 제공하는 인터넷 사이트와 학술논문검색사이트를 통해 이루어졌다. 온라인으로 처음 검색된 최초 논문은 1987년도에 쓰여진 최덕호의 ‘유치원 수업 장학의 실태 조사 연구’이다. 이러한 절차에 의해 수집된 논문은 1987년부터 2010년까지의 최근 연구들이며 총 논문 수는 224편이다. 본 연구의 분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장학 관련 연구 논문에서 다루어진 연구 내용 중 연구 문제는 ‘장학의 모형 개발 및 사례’, ‘장학에 대한 기대와 요구’, ‘장학에 대한 인식’, ‘장학의 실태 및 개선 방안’ 으로 나타났다. 가장 많이 다루어진 연구 문제는 ‘장학의 실태 및 개선 방안’이었다. 장학 관련 연구 논문의 연구 내용에는 여러 가지 장학 용어가 나타났다. 장학의 용어는 한 가지 용어가 다른 용어와 조합되거나 임의적으로 변형되어 사용되었다. 연구 내용에 많이 나타난 장학의 유형은 장학의 주체 면에서 자율 장학, 장소 면에서 원내 장학, 방법 면에서 자기 장학 순으로 나타났다. 장학 관련 논문의 연구 내용 중 장학의 기능을 분석한 결과, 장학의 기능과 연관되어 있는 논문의 수가 저조한 것으로 나타났으며, 장학의 기능 중 ‘교수 효과 성’과 ‘교사의 성장 및 발달’을 위한 기능 분야에서만 연구가 이루어졌다. 둘째, 장학 관련 연구 논문의 연구 대상으로는 유치원 교사가 가장 많았고, 어린이 집 교사, 유치원 원장 및 원 감 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 장학 관련 연구 논문의 연구 방법으로는 크게 양적 연구가 질적 연구보다 많았다. 세부적으로 살펴보면, 조사 연구, 사례 연구, 문헌 연구 순으로 나타났다.
