중등 음악교육에서의 e-NIE 수업 모형 적용에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 지식 정보화 사회에서 최신정보에 대한 신속한 접근을 가능하게 하는 신문을 기반으로 한 e-NIE(Electronic Newspaper in Education)를 증 등 음악교육에 활용하도록 하는 것이다. 즉, 정보를 활용하여 새로운 지식을 계속해서 창출해 나가는 시대적 흐름에 발맞추어 학습자가 스스로 문제를 해결하는 과정 속에서 창의적이고 자기주도적인 정보 활용능력을 고취시키는 e-NIE 지도법의 개발과 활용을 목적으로 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 우선 문헌 연구를 통해 현대 지식 정보화 사회에서 요구하는 창의적인 정보활용능력을 기르기 위해 자유로운 정보 탐색과 수집을 통한 학습 활동을 진행하는 NIE(Newspaper in Education)의 의의와 활용을 살펴보고 지면에 의존하는 기존 NIE의 한계점인 시간적, 공간적 제약을 보완하고 정보의 공유, 교환 및 상호작용이 가능하도록 e-Learning(Electronic Learning)의 통합 테크놀로지를 NIE에 접목한 e-NIE의 특성과 활용 방안을 검토하였다. 또한 선행연구를 통해 e-NIE의 활용이 음악교과에서 미비한 점을 인식하고 인터넷을 기반으로 e-Learning을 활용한 e-NIE의 통합 테크놀로지 환경을 음악교육에 활용하여 문자와 더불어 음 원을 통한 청각 교육까지 가능하도록 하는 ‘e-NIE를 활용한 음악신문 만들기 중학교 1학년 교수 학습 지도 방안’을 주제로 하는 교수•학습 지도안을 3 차 시 분량으로 구상하였다. 지도안을 토대로 서울 소재 A 중학교 1학년 2개 학급의 학생들을 대상으로 실제 수업을 실시한 후 그 결과를 살펴보았다. 1차 시 수업에서는 e-NIE를 활용한 음악신문 만들기의 전반적인 설명과 모 둠 별로 신문의 섹션을 구성하는 활동을 했으며 2 차 시 수업에서는 모 둠 원의 역할에 따라 주제와 관련된 정보와 자료를 검색, 수집하여 기사를 기획하였고 3 차 시 수업에서는 시•청각 자료와 함께 기사의 편집을 완료하여 게시하고 모 둠 별로 기사를 발표하였으며 발표 후에 모 둠 활동 평가와 음악 신문 만들기 수업 내용에 대한 설문 평가를 실시하였다. 또한 수업 후 연구자는 수업을 진행하면서 관찰한 내용을 기록하였다. 수업에 대한 설문조사 결과와 연구자의 수업 관찰 기록을 통해 학생들이 e-NIE를 활용한 새로운 형태의 음악 수업에서 정보와 자료를 탐색하고 수집하는 활동에 대해 전반적으로 흥미와 관심을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 대부분의 학생들이 인터넷과 컴퓨터 매체에 대한 접근 성이 뛰어나 온라인 신문을 만드는 과제 수행 활동을 친숙하고 만족스럽게 진행하였다. 또한 학습 과정 중 인터넷을 기반으로 음 원 이나 연주동영상을 검색하며 다양한 소리 원을 통해 음악을 감상하고 적절한 음악 파일을 수집해 본문에 첨부하는 학습 활동은 학생들로 하여금 흥미와 적극성을 가지고 음악을 감상하도록 하는데 도움을 주는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제언하는 바는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 음악 수업에서 인터넷을 기반으로 컴퓨터 매체를 비롯한 통합 테크놀로지 환경을 적극적으로 활용하여 학습자의 흥미와 동기를 유발하는 학습 내용을 구성할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 교과서 중심의 수업보다 다양한 매체와 자료를 교육적으로 활용하여 학습자가 스스로 실생활과 연결된 문제를 해결하게 하고, 창의적으로 정보를 활용하도록 하는 음악 수업방안을 모색해야 한다. 둘째, 음악 교과 학습에서 NIE 소재 유형별 활용과 다양한 NIE 활동을 쉽게 활용할 수 있는 e-NIE 시스템이 개발되어야 할 것이다. 이러한 e-NIE 시스템 개발은 NIE의 요소인 기사문, 광고, 사진 등 유형별 NIE 활동을 음악교과에 접목하여 온라인상에서 원활한 정보교환과 자기주도적 학습이 가능하도록 하는데 도움을 줄 것이다. 앞으로의 음악 수업은 통합 테크놀로지 환경을 지원하는 다양한 매체 활용 교육의 방안이 더욱 활성화될 것이다. 따라서 다양한 시•청각 자료를 지원하는 창의적인 음악 교수•학습 내용과 방법을 연구하는 것이 필요하다 하겠다. 이 논문이 교육학적 연구 및 활용방안에 도움이 되기를 바라며 e-NIE를 활용하여 음악교과의 특성을 효과적으로 반영할 수 있는 교수•학습 방안에 대한 향후 연구가 더욱 활발히 이루어지길 기대한다.;The purpose of this study is to apply Electronic Newspaper in Education (e-NIE) to secondary music education. The use of e-NIE is expected to enhance current methods of teaching within the department of music education. The e-NIE project will enable students search and publish their interests and opinions related to broad topics and contemporary works in the field of music.The e-NIE project is intended for students to garner experiences that inspire creativity, increase knowledge, and foster professionalism through their participation. In literature review of previous studies on the subject matter, this paper notes how Newspaper in Education is becoming more important subject in education due to its focuses on developing ability to process information and apply to interested area.The importance of NIE in literature is worth noting since it reinforces the need for active learning process.The NIE project engages students in learning by providing students an opportunity to initiate research, and to utilize their ability to process collected information. To achieve interactive learning experiences without the limitation of NIE in terms of time and space, this study combines electronic learning with newspaper in education and this e-NIE employs technology in collection of information. In literature review, this paper notes that Electronic Newspaper in Education (e-NIE) is not utilized in music education and takes the initiative to apply e-NIE in secondary music education.This paper suggests a curriculum that applies e-NIE to music education using letters and the source of sound through internet. The suggested curriculum enables students to construct their own study in music and to understand music in terms of society and culture.The suggested curriculum incorporates publishing music newspaper on line and is implemented in three periods of the classes in seventh grade of music class.The content and the result of curriculum implementation are discussed below. In the first period of the class, overall structure of making online music newspaper is explained to students.Each group participated in constructing different sections in music newspaper by determining the subject of each section.The second period of the class was dedicated to research related topics of each section in music and to collect the relative information on line.Students put together collected information to construct music newspaper and presented their completed newspaper in last period of the class. Suggested curriculum is evaluated by students who participated in performed classes and the result of evaluation is discussed in the paper.Instructor’s more detailed observations of three periods of the classes are also discussed in the paper. As a result of class evaluation and instructor’s observation, this paper finds that students show a great deal of interest in e-NIE and in its new way of active learning. Overall, students were able to complete online music newspaper without any difficulty.The instructor also finds that the process of finding music file on line help students to listen and understand music better. In summary, this study suggests following. More interactive learning activities such as e-NIE need to be applied in music education to interest and to motivate students to learn.e-NIE is also meaningful in its attempt to utilize technology. Further development in interactive learning activities will facilitate efficient learning. In the future, music education is expected to employ various sources of technology to achieve interactive learning.Accordingly, more creative curriculums and teaching methods that employ various sources of technology need to be developed. In result, this study not only tries to convey the significance in application of the e-NIE but also tries to establish curriculum that applies e-NIE in Secondary Music Education.This study hopes to contribute to further research in curriculums and teaching methods using e-NIE in music education.
