Dmitry Kabalevsky의 「35개의 쉬운 소품집(35 Easy Pieces), Op.89」 연구 및 지도방안

Abstract

드미트리 카발레프스키(Dmitry Borisovich Kabalevsky, 1904-1987)는 20세기 러시아를 대표하는 작곡가이자 교육자, 피아니스트, 음악 평론가였고, 공산주의 정부 체제에 순응하며 인민을 향한 음악을 창작하는 작곡가였다. 카발레프스키의 가장 가치 있는 업적은 어린이 음악 분야에서 나타난다. 특히 1970년대에 그는 어린이를 위한 작품의 작곡과 교육에 몰두 했으며 페다고지에 관심을 보여 1971년 ‘소비에트 사회주의 공화국 과학적 교수법 아카데미(Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR)’의 정회원으로 활동 하였고, 70세에 모스크바 음악원의 교수직을 내려놓고 초등학교 학생들을 대상으로 음악 수업을 진행하기도 하였다. 어린이를 위한 작품 형식에 있어서 세부분 형식(ABA), 론도 형식이나 변주곡을 선호하였고, 음계는 전음 음계(diatonic scale)에 반음계가 섞인 음계를 사용하였고, 전통적인 전조(5도 관계나 관계조 등의 전조)를 이용하였다. 화성에 있어서 그는 20세기 전반의 새로운 실험적 요소는 많이 사용하지 않았고, 특히 12음 기법에 대해 가장 보수적인 태도를 취하는 작곡가로, 이러한 새로운 음악을 거부하는 태도는 마지막 20년 동안 왕성한 창작 활동을 등한시 하는 요인이 되었다. 이 시기의 작품으로 「서정적 선율(Lyric Tunes), Op.91」(1971), 「피아노를 위한 6개의 소품집(Six Pieces for Piano), Op.88」(1971), 「35개의 쉬운 소품집(35 Easy Pieces), Op.89」(1972-1974) 등이 있다. 카발레프스키의 초급 단계 어린이를 위한 가장 대표적인 곡인 「35개의 쉬운 소품집(35 Easy Pieces), Op.89」(1972-1974) 는 그가 모스크바 음악원의 교수직을 내려놓고 초등학교에서 어린이들을 가르치던 시기에 작곡 되었으며 그의 피아노 교육용 작품 중 마지막 곡으로 규모에 있어서 가장 크고 박자, 조성, 형식, 감정표현, 테크닉 등의 다양한 음악적 경험을 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 35개의 모든 곡을 형식, 조성, 박자, 리듬, 선율, 다이나믹, 화성, 표현기호 면에서 연구 분석하고 각 곡에서의 지도방안을 덧붙여 이 작품의 연주 방법 및 지도에 도움을 주고자 한다.;Dmitry Borisovich Kabalevsky (1904-1987) is a Russian representative composer and educator, pianist and music critic in 20C. He adjusted himself to the communist government system, and created music for the people. Kabalevsky’s most valuable achievement is in the field of music for children. In particular, he focused on composing music works and music education for children. He showed much interest in the Pedagogy, so activated as a regular member of ‘Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR’. When he became 70 years old, he resigned from the professor position in Moscow Conservatory, and operated the music class for elementary school students. In terms of work style for children, he preferred for the forms of rondo or variation. For the musical scale, he usually used the scale mixing chromatic scales into diatonic scales, and utilized traditional modulations (ex. Diminished 5th or relative keys). In terms of harmony, he rarely used new experimental factors in the first half of 20C. Especially he was the most conservative composer against 12 tone technique, and his attitude refusing such new music trend became a factor making him neglect active creative activity for his late 20 years. As representative works in this period included「Lyric Tunes, Op.91」(1971),「Six Pieces for Piano), Op.88」(1971), and「35 Easy Pieces, Op.89」(1972-1974). The most representative piece for children in Kabalevsky’s entry step is 「35 Easy Pieces, Op.89」(1972-1974). Composed in the period when he taught children in elementary schools, this piece is the last and the biggest-sized work of his piano education works. Child can experience various musical techniques in rhythm, tone, format, emotion expressions and skills. This paper analyzes the all works in the 35 Easy Pieces, Op.89 in terms of format, tone, rhythm, melody, dynamics, harmony, and expression signals, and briefly added playing method for each piece in order to help teaching and playing them.
