현대시 리듬 교육 방안 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 현대시에서 리듬의 중요성을 인정하고 리듬을 고려하여 시를 교육할 필요성을 제기하고, 그 구체적인 교수·학습 모형을 제안하는 것에 있다. 시의 리듬은 시인의 창조적인 개성과 심미적 체험을 표현하는데 기여하는 시의 구성 요소들 중 하나로 이러한 현대시의 개성적인 리듬은 기존의 운율 개념으로는 분석하기 어렵다. 그러므로 시의 리듬 연구는 시의 형식적 측면에 대한 규명뿐만 아니라 개별 작품의 개성적인 리듬과 미적 구조를 파악하는 방향으로 나아가야 한다. 이처럼 현대시의 리듬은 시인이 의도적으로 시를 구조적으로 체계화하여 하나의 의미 차원으로 조직화하는 것을 뜻하는데, 이는 독자로 하여금 시적 정서를 환기시키고 조절하는 것은 물론이요, 심리적 균형과 쾌감, 심미적 체험, 시적 상상력을 강화하는 등의 다양한 기능을 하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 우리 현대시 교육은 여전히 운율 개념에서 벗어나지 못하고 그것을 단순히 시의 형식적인 종류를 구별하는 요소로만 사용하고 있으며, 시의 리듬에 대한 교육은 시의 이미지, 화자, 정서 등의 다른 내용 요소들에 비해 양과 질적인 측면에서 많이 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구자는 운율이라는 용어가 현대시가 표현해내는 시적 리듬을 모두 포괄할 수 없는 개념임을 지적하고 운율 대신 ‘리듬’ 개념을 사용할 것을 제안하였다. 뿐만 아니라 작품 속에서 실현된 리듬이 시의 전반적인 의미와 어떻게 관계 맺어지는지, 또 얼마나 의미 실현에 기여하는지 살펴보았으며 그것을 바탕으로 리듬을 재개념화하고 리듬의 구성 요소와 실현 양상을 분석하였다. 이 논문은 분석한 구성 요소와 실현 양상을 바탕으로 시 교육 현장에서 학습자들의 수준에 맞게 리듬을 교육할 수 있도록 리듬의 위계를 설정하고, 이를 바탕으로 교육 현장에서 교사들이 학습자 수준과 경험 수준에 알맞은 작품을 선정할 수 있도록 작품 선정의 기준을 제시하였다는데 그 문학 교육적 가치가 있다. 뿐만 아니라 제시된 작품 선정 기준과 분석한 리듬 체계를 중심으로 실제 작품을 분석하여 작품의 교육적 활용 방안을 모색한 후, 리듬을 고려한 교육 방안과 그 구체적인 모형을 설계하였다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다. 그 구체적인 연구 과정은 다음과 같다. 먼저Ⅰ장에서는 기존 시 교육에서 운율 교육의 문제점과 리듬 개념 도입의 필요성에 대해 살펴보았으며, 그것을 바탕으로 구체적인 본 연구의 목적과 의의를 살펴보았다. Ⅱ장에서는 현재 시 교육에서 리듬 교육의 문제점을 지적하고 그에 알맞은 개선 방안으로 본 연구의 필요성을 제기하였다. 그 다음 기존 논의들을 바탕으로 시 교육에서 리듬의 체계와 구성 요소를 교육의 성격과 목적에 맞게 재개념화하고 리듬의 체계와 구성 요소, 실현 양상을 중심으로 리듬을 위계를 설정하여 구체적인 작품 선정의 기준을 제시하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 Ⅱ장에서 재개념화한 체계와 구성 요소, 그리고 작품 선정 기준을 바탕으로 실제 작품에서 구체적인 리듬의 의미 실현 양상을 분석하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 Ⅱ장과 Ⅲ장에서 논의한 내용을 바탕으로 구체적인 리듬 교육 모형과 방안을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 Ⅴ장에서는 본 연구 결과물의 의의를 설명하였고, 그와 더불어 후속 논의에서 리듬을 고려한 교수·학습이 보다 구체적으로 연구되기를 기대하며 논문을 마무리하였다.;The poetry's rhythm is one of its components which contribute to express poet's creative individualities and aesthetic experiences. The individual rhythm of modern poetry is difficult to be analyzed by existing concept of versification. In the future, the studying of poetry's rhythm must not only explain formal aspect of poetry but also grasp individual rhythm and aesthetic structure of each work. The rhythm of modern poetry means the poetry is organized at the level of one meaning by systemizing the poetry structurally under his intention. It plays various functions to not only let leaders ventilate and control poetic emotion but also strengthen emotional balance, pleasure, aesthetic experience and poetic imagination. However, out education of modern poetry doesn't get out of the concept of versification yet, it is used as a factor classifying poetry's formal kinds simply and the education for poetry's rhythm is much insufficient for quantitative and qualitative aspects in comparison to other factors such as poetry's image, speaker, emotion, etc. Therefore, this researcher indicated that the word of versification cannot include all of poetry's rhythm expressed by modern poetry and suggest to use the concept of 'rhythm' instead of versification. In addition, this researchers also examined how the relationship between rhythm realized in the work and poetry's general meaning is made and how much it is contribute to realize the meaning and analyzed components and realizing aspects of rhythm by making rhythm concept again based on it. And then, rhythm's hierarchy was set so that leaners can educate rhythm for the standard of learners in the educational site by focusing on analyzed components and realizing aspect and based on it and the standard of work selection was suggested so that teachers can select the work suitable for learner's standard and experimental standard in the educational site. Nextly, after seeking the real work's educational application method by analyzing it focusing on standard and analyzed rhythm system based on the suggested standard of work selection, educational method considering rhythm and its concrete model were planned.
