가전(假傳)의 특성을 활용한 풍자적 글쓰기 교육 방안

Abstract

The research of this thesis departs from a purpose to change the learners' recognition that the classical literature is difficult to understand. This thesis attempts to help the learners to proceed in a positive direction of understanding the classics, by reinterpreting and reorganizing the classical works in an interesting way, for which Gajeon (fable) is utilized in order to search for a pedagogic plan. Gajeon is a story that writes about a life of an object, not a human character, or a nature, which is personified, in order to let known the characteristics of objects to readers. It is a fake story, which is what it means by its name (假傳), and there has not enough research in the literature on teaching Gajeon, as opposed to other genres of the classics. Unlike other classical works, including classical novels and classical verses, Gajeon has its own distinctive features, which can induce educational effects since they carry various elements of educational contents. This research consists of the learners' reorganizing activities of Gajeon for themselves, in the course of teaching how to write satires on the basis of the characteristics of Gajeon. Gajeon contains a variety of amusing elements of learning, including the fact that a surrounding object is chosen and personified, the fact that the life of a chosen object is created, the fact that learners can gain satisfaction through forming a critical story, and the process of an individual learner's internalization. In this vein, the thesis chose Gajeon, so that it can contribute to original and effective teaching of Gajeon by means of satirical writing. Gobangjeon (a story of brass coins, i.e. money), among other Gajeon works in a current high-school textbook of Literature, was selected to help the learners to experience writing of satirical stories, to understand and communicate with their own inner side, and to build up their own world of works. In discussing Gajeon, this research applies the principles of education, and narrates a story in practice. The course plan, in particular, presents an in-depth investigation of how to teach Gajeon in which direction, within the framework of the literature education. In this line, a course plan has been devised which lays emphasis on the active facets of literature (acceptance, production, communication), in the system of teaching the course of literature that was laid out in the course curriculum for the Korean Language, revised in 2007. Teachers deal with Gongbangjeon, by providing an explanation of the Chinese characters, a summary of the contents, the characteristics of the Gajeon literature, and an account of satirical expressions, while learners experience an easy understanding of them. Teachers educate with an integrated model of teaching/learning stages, teaching principles, and internalizing stages, and learners go through these given stages, which makes it possible to communicate among the work, the author, and the readers. The learners are ultimately expected to take a positive step toward the recognition of the classics, based on their experience of diverse reorganizations and creations via Gajeon.;본 연구의 목적은 고전문학은 어렵다는 학습자의 인식을 전환시키고자하는 것으로 시작되었다. 학습자가 느끼고 있는 부정적 반응을 벗어나 고전 문학 작품을 흥미롭게 재해석하고 재구성하면서 긍정적인 인식의 전환을 할 수 있도록 하기 위해서 가전(假傳)을 통해 교육 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 가전(假傳)이란 사물이나 심성을 의인화하여 그 일생을 서술함으로써, 그 사물의 특성을 독자에게 전달하기 위해 쓰여진 전(傳)으로 인물이 아닌 사물이나 심성을 서술 대상으로 삼았다는 점에서, 이름 그대로 가짜 전이라 할 수 있다. 하지만 현재까지 효과적인 고전문학 교육에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔다고 보기에는 가전(假傳)교육에 대한 연구가 미흡한 실정이다. 고전문학 중 고전소설, 고전시가와는 다르게 가전(假傳)에는 가전만이 가지는 갈래 특성이 뚜렷하게 나타나고 다양한 교육 내용 요소들이 내재되어 있어 교육적 효과를 이끌어 낼 수 있기에 충분하다. 이러한 이유로 본 연구는 가전을 특성을 활용해 풍자적인 글쓰기 교육을 진행하면서 학습자들이 직접 가전을 재구성을 해보는 것에 의의를 두고 연구를 하려고 한다. 학습자들은 가전(假傳)에는 주변의 가까운 사물을 선택하여 그 사물을 의인화 한다는 점, 이를 일대기적으로 구성한다는 점, 학습자 자신이 직접 재구성을 하면서 느낄 수 있는 통쾌한 비판을 통한 감정과 이러한 과정을 통한 개인적인 내면화 등 흥미롭게 학습할 수 있는 요소가 다양하게 내재되어 있다. 이와 같은 학습을 위해 본고에서는 가전(假傳)을 선택하게 되었고 이를 통한 풍자적 글쓰기는 참신하고 효과적인 가전(假傳) 교육 연구에 보탬이 될 것이라고 생각하고 이에 연구를 진행하게 되었다. 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 본고에서는 현재 고등학교 문학교과서에 실려 있는 여러 가전(假傳)작품 중 특히 <공방전(孔方傳)>을 통해 풍자적인 글쓰기를 경험하면서 학습자의 내면세계에 대하여 이해하고 소통하며 자신만의 작품 세계를 만들 수 있기에 연구의 진행과 시도가 의미 있다고 생각한다. 본고에서는 가전(假傳)에 대한 논의를 함에 있어서 교육적 원리의 측면을 적용하고 실제로 구연하려고 했다. 특히 교육과정안에서 문학교육을 다루며 가전문학을 어떻게 교육해야 하는가에 대한 방향 정립을 위해 이를 심도 있게 살펴보았다. 그리고 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 본 연구는 2007년 개정 국어과 교육과정의 문학과목의 교육과정 내용체계에서 문학의 활동적 측면(수용, 생산, 소통)을 강조한 교육 방안을 강구했다. 교사는 가전(假傳)의 <공방전(孔方傳)>을 통해 한자어풀이, 내용정리, 가전의 특성의 정리, 풍자적 표현이해 등을 지도하며 학습자들은 이를 쉽게 이해하고 받아들일 수 있다. 그리고 교수·학습 단계와 교육 원리, 내면화 단계의 통합적 모형으로 지도를 하고 학습자는 이러한 단계를 거치고 경험하면서 작품, 작가, 독자의 소통을 가능하게 한다. 위와 같이 가전(假傳)통한 다양한 재구성, 창작의 경험을 통해 학습자는 고전문학에 대한 긍정적인 인식 전환으로의 한발을 내디딜 수 있길 기대한다.
