- Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between stress, anger(trait anger, anger expression), and coping as predictors of bullying behavior s and victimization in each gender group. And this study identified variables that distinguished bullies or victims from bully/victims. Self-report questionnaries were completed by 645 boys and girls in Seoul and Kyung-gi areas.
The results are as followed:
different stress, anger, coping variables explained bullying behavior and victimization in groups of male and female student, respectively. Specifically, aggressive coping, stress-family, anger-out, stress-interpersonal relatioship in boys group, and trait anger, aggressive coping, stress-school, anger-out, active coping in girls groups explained bullying behaviors. Also, stress-interpersonal relatioship, social seeking coping in boys groups and stress-interpersonal relationship, anger-out, passive/avoidant coping in girls groups explained victimization.
