가정과 연계한 컴퓨터 교육이 유아의 컴퓨터 사용태도에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 가정과 연계한 컴퓨터 교육이 유아의 컴퓨터 사용능력, 정보활용능력, 자기조절력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 그 변화 과정을 연구하고자 한다. 이를 통해 유치원과 가정에서 유아의 컴퓨터 교육을 활성화하기 위한 기초자료를 제시하여 유아가 컴퓨터를 사용함에 있어 스스로 정보를 분석하고 평가하여 자발적이고 능동적인 컴퓨터 사용자로서 성장 할 수 있도록 하는데 목적을 둔다. 이와 같은 연구목적에 따라 설정된 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 가정과 연계한 컴퓨터 교육이 유아의 컴퓨터 사용능력에 영향을 미치는가? 2. 가정과 연계한 컴퓨터 교육이 유아의 정보활용능력에 영향을 미치는가? 3. 가정과 연계한 컴퓨터 교육이 유아의 자기조절력에 영향을 미치는가? 본 연구는 가정과 연계한 컴퓨터 교육이 유아의 컴퓨터 사용태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시된 단일집단 실험연구이며 연구대상은 서울시 동대문구에 소재하고 있는 G초등학교병설유치원 만5세 유아 28명과 그 부모를 대상으로 하였다. 연구기간은 2009년 9월 9일부터 9월 30일 까지 4주간이며 유치원에서는 3주간 18개의 교육활동을 전개하였으며 가정연계 활동으로는 부모교육 1회 및 12개의 부모참여 활동 및 통신문을 발송하였다. 유치원에서 전개한 컴퓨터 교육활동은 교육인적자원부(2007)의 “유아를 위한 전자미디어 교육활동” 자료를 바탕으로 대상유아의 연령, 지역사회의 특징, 유아의 관심과 흥미를 고려하여 수정·보완하여 실시하였다. 유아들의 컴퓨터 사용태도의 변화를 알아보기 위한 연구도구로는 질문지를 통한 학부모의 사전·사후검사를 실시하였으며 검사에 사용된 질문지는 컴퓨터 환경 및 기본사항과 관련된 9문항, 컴퓨터 사용능력과 관련된 4문항, 정보활용능력과 관련된 3문항, 자기조절력과 관련된 8문항으로 총 24문항으로 구성되었다. 사전·사후 설문 결과의 분석은 설문 항목을 5점 척도로 구성하여 종속표본 t검정을 사용하여 분석하였고, 5점 척도로 구성되지 않은 문항은 빈도와 백분율로 계산하여 유아의 컴퓨터 사용태도 변화를 알아보았다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정과 연계된 컴퓨터 교육 후 유아의 컴퓨터 사용능력의 변화를 알아본 결과 컴퓨터 기기의 사용능력이 향상되었으며 컴퓨터를 사용하는 자세와 언어도 바르게 변화되었다. 둘째, 가정과 연계된 컴퓨터 교육 후 유아의 정보활용능력의 변화를 알아본 결과 컴퓨터로 하는 활동의 종류와 내용이 다양해졌으며 유아에게 적합한 활동과 사이트에 접속하는 유아가 증가하였고, 폭력적이거나 잔인한 장면에 대한 반응은 다른 활동으로 변경하거나 컴퓨터를 끄는 행동으로 변화되었다. 셋째, 가정과 연계된 컴퓨터 교육 후 유아의 자기조절력의 변화를 알아본 결과 컴퓨터 사용 시간에 있어 유아들은 정해진 시간동안 컴퓨터를 사용하였고 컴퓨터 사용 시간을 스스로 조절하여 사용하는 능력이 증가하였다. 컴퓨터와 관련된 놀이나 대화를 하던 유아, 부모 몰래 컴퓨터를 하는 유아도 컴퓨터 교육 후 그 수가 줄어들었다. 컴퓨터를 중단시키거나 컴퓨터에 문제가 생겼을 때 화를 내거나 과격한 행동을 보이던 유아들의 행동도 감소되어 유아들이 컴퓨터를 사용할 때 자신의 행동을 조절하여 사용하는 태도로 변화되었다.;This study is to explore the effect of the computer education connected with home affects young children's computer skill, information literary, self-regulation and to study the process of change. The purpose of this thesis is to offer the basic materials to encourage young children's computer education both kindergarten and home training. when preschoolers use computers, they analyze out information by themselves. Throughout this process, children can become voluntary, active users. For this purpose, the research questions were as follows. 1. How the computer education connected with home can affect children's computer skill? 2. How the computer education connected with home can affect children's information literary? 3. How the computer education connected with home can affect children's self-regulation? This study is built upon a single-group experiment to investigate the effect of the computer education connected with home. The targets were 28 young children under 5 in G-preschool and their parents. Research period is from September 9th to September 30th 2009 that kindergarten worked computer activities to children 18 times for 3 weeks including in parents education, activities and send out communications to parents. Computer education activities at kindergarten based on "Electronic Media Education Activities" in Ministry of Education, Science and Technology(2007), and revised applying children's situation. The questionnaire for investigating the change of children's attitude of use about computers checked out before and after test to parents. The questionnaire consisted of 24 questions was made up with 9 questions of computer environment and basic data, 4 questions of users computer skill, 3 questions of information literary, 8 questions of self-regulation. The result of before and after test was analyzed using paired sample t-test. This questionnaire was composed of 5 point measure. The questions without 5 point measure were calculated at frequency and percentage. After the computer education, this research examined change of children connected with home. The results of this study are as follows. First, after the computer education coupled with home, preschoolers have improved the ability of use about computer equipment and changed a correct attitude, language using the computer. Second, after the computer education coupled with home, preschoolers have had the variety of activities and contents about computers. Also, there are many children increasing access to sites for children instead of violence and cruel sites or turning off the computer by themselves. Third, after the computer education coupled with home, preschoolers have only used limited time on computers. After that, they can control computer using- time by their self-regulation. Young children who too much focus on computer activities, play computers without their parents knowing decreased after that program. Also, the number of preschoolers showing aggressive behavior dropped when turning off the computers or getting some problems on them. After young children have the computer education, they show a perceptible change in their behavior.
