집단구성·연령·성별에 따른 유아의 사회적 조망수용능력에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 집단구성, 연령, 성별에 따라 유아의 사회적 조망수용능력에는 어떠한 차이가 있는지 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이와 같은 목적에 따라 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 1. 집단구성에 따라 유아의 사회적 조망수용능력에는 차이가 있는가? 2. 연령에 따라 유아의 사회적 조망수용능력에는 차이가 있는가? 3. 성별에 따라 유아의 사회적 조망수용능력에는 차이가 있는가? 본 연구의 대상은 서울시에 소재하고 있는 어린이집 4곳의 4세 단일연령집단과 5세 단일연령집단 및 4·5세 혼합연령집단 유아 80명씩 총 160명이다. 연구도구로 유아의 사회적 조망수용능력은 Hudson, Forman과 Brion(1982)의 조망수용 도구를 기초로 하여 신현옥(1996)이 번안하여 사용한 조망수용능력 검사를 수정 보완하여 사용하였다. 자료수집을 위해 독립된 공간에서 개인면접방식으로 조망수용능력 검사를 실시하였다. 각각의 이야기 과제에 대한 유아들의 언어적인 반응은 녹음하여 전사한 후 채점하였다. 개별측정결과는 연구문제에 따라 t 검증을 통해 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 집단구성에 따라 유아의 사회적 조망수용능력에 차이가 있는지 살펴 본 결과 사회적 조망수용능력의 하위범주 중 타인사고조망과 타인감정조망에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 단일연령집단 유아보다 혼합연령집단 유아의 사회적 조망수용능력이 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 연령에 따라 유아의 사회적 조망수용능력에 차이가 있는지 알아본 결과 사회적 조망수용능력의 하위범주 즉, 타인의도조망, 타인사고조망, 타인감정조망 모두에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 4세아보다는 5세아의 사회적 조망수용능력이 의미 있게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 성별에 따라 유아의 사회적 조망수용능력에 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과 사회적 조망수용능력의 각각의 하위범주에서는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았으나, 전체 사회적 조망수용능력에서는 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 남아보다는 여아의 사회적 조망수용능력이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다.;The purpose of this study is to find out if there are any differences in social perspective-taking ability depending on mixed- and same-age group, age, and sex. For this purpose, three specific study questions have been set up as follows: 1. Is there any difference in social perspective-taking ability depending on mixed- and same-age group? 2. Is there any difference in social perspective-taking ability depending on child's age? 3. Is there any difference in social perspective-taking ability depending on child's sex? The subjects of this study were 160 children from four day-care centers in Seoul; 40 four-year-old in same-age groups, 40 five-year-old in same-age groups, 80 four and five-year-old in mixed-age groups. Social perspective-taking of children was assessed through the test basing on version of Hudson, Forman, and Brion(1982) and used by Shin Hyun-Ok(1996). The data were analyzed to examine the difference in the social perspective-taking ability by T-test with SAS computer program. The results are summarized as follows: First, there was significant difference in social perspective-taking depending on mixed- and same-age group. It is founded that mixed-age group was significantly higher in social perspective-taking than same-age group. Second, there was significant difference in social perspective-taking depending on child's age. Five-year-old children were significantly higher in social perspective-taking than four-year-old children. Third, there was significant difference in social perspective-taking depending on child's sex. Females were significantly higher in social perspective-taking than males. It is shown that females were founded to be significantly better social perspective takers than males.
