공ㆍ사립 유치원 교육환경의 비교연구

Abstract

본 연구는 공립유치원과 사립유치원의 교육환경을 분석해 보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 유치원의 전반적인 교육환경의 수준은 어떠한가? 2. 공립유치원과 사립유치원은 교육환경의 7개 하위영역에 있어서의 수준은 어떠한가? 3. 교육환경 정도에 있어서 공립유치원과 사립유치원간에는 어떠한 차이가 있는가? 본 연구는 중류도시인 J시에 위치한 공립유치원 15학급과 사립유치원 15학급을 대상으로 하였다. 관찰은 2주동안 유치원 교육활동 시간에 이루어졌다. 관찰대상으로 선정된 유치원 교육환경의 수준을 알아보기 위해 각 문항별 및 하위영역별로 평정점수의 평균, 표준편차, 범위, 최소치 및 최대치를 산출했으며 공립유치원과 사립유치원간의 차이를 알아보기 위해 t검증을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 유치원의 전반적인 교육환경의 수준을 분석해 본 결과는 다음과 같다. ① 유치원의 교육환경은 척도 전체에서 평균점수가 129.31로 최고점수인 252점의 51.3% 수준에 있다. 하위영역별로 보면 7개 하위영역중 비품 및 작품의 진열과 배치 영역의 환경이 (57.5%)상대적으로 좋은 편이고 사회성 활동 영역의 환경은(48%) 상대적으로 좋지 못한 것으로 나타났다. ② 각 문항별로 살펴보면 각 문항간에는 환경의 정도 차이가 심하다. 즉, 식사·간식, 실내 기본설비 몇 비품, 학습용 비품, 영역별실내배치, 언어사용, 대근육 운동(시설), 문화이해 활동, 교사자질함양기회, 부모참여 활동 등 9개 문항은 환경이 좋은 것으로 나타났고 지각·소근육 운동(지도·감독), 대근육 운동(지도·감독), 물·모래놀이, 집단놀이 활동, 휴식 공간, 집회 장소등 6개 문항의 환경은 좋지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 2. 공립유치원과 사립유치원의 교육환경 수준을 분석해 본 결과는 다음과 같다. ① 공립유치원의 교육환경은 척도 전체에서 평균점수가 110.55로 최고점수인 252점의 43.8 % 수준에 있다. 하위영역별로 보면 7개 하위영역중 비품 및 작품의 진열과 배치 영역의 환경이(49.8%) 상대적으로 좋은 편이고 교사·부모 환경 영역은(36.3 %) 상대적으로 좋지 못한 것으로 나타났다. ② 각 문항별로 살펴보면 각 문항간에는 환경의 정도차이가 있다. 즉, 식사·간식, 학습용 비품등 2개 문항은 환경이 좋은 것으로 나타났고 휴식용 비품, 지각·소근육 운동(지도·감독), 대근육 운동(활동계획), 집단놀이 활동, 부모참여 활동 등 5개 문항의 환경은 좋지 못한 것으로 나타났다. ③ 사립유치원의 교육환경은 척도 전체에서 평균점수가 147.65로 최고점수인 252점의 58.5 % 수준에 있다. 하위영역별로 보면 7개 하위영역중 비품 및 작품의 진열과 배치 영역의 환경이(65.2%) 상대적으로 좋은 편이고 사회성 활동 영역의 환경은(52.6%) 상대적으로 좋지 못한 것으로 나타났다. ④ 각 문항별로 살펴보면 각 문항간에는 환경의 정도차이가 있다. 즉, 식사·간식, 화장실 사용, 깨끗한 몸가짐, 실내 기본설비 및 비품, 학습용 비품, 영역별 실내배치, 언어사용, 일상적 대화, 지각·소근육 운동(교구), 대근육 운동(공간), 대근육 운동(시설), 음율활동, 지도·감독, 문화이해 활동, 교사·유아 상호작용, 교사자질 함양기회, 부모참여 활동등 17개 문항은 환경이 좋은 것으로 나타났고 건강관리·안전교육, 지각·소근육 운동(지도·감독), 집단놀이 활동 등 3개 문항의 환경은 좋지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 3. 공립유치원과 사립유치원간의 교육환경의 차이를 분석해 본 결과 사립유치원의 환경이 공립유치원의 환경보다 유의하게 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 사립유치원의 환경이 공립유치원의 환경보다 생활습관 지도 영역, 비품 및 작품의 진열과 배치 영역, 대·소근육운동 활동 영역, 창의성 활동 영역, 사회성 활동 영역에서는 1% 수준에서 유의하게 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사립유치원의 환경이 공립유치원의 환경보다 언어·개념학습 활동 영역, 교사·부모 환경 영역에서는 5% 수준에서 유의하게 좋은 것으로 나타났다.;The purpose of this study is to analyze of the kindergarten's educational environment in the public Kindergarten and the private kindergarten. Questions of the study are as follows : 1. What are the general level of the educational environment in the kindergarten ? 2. What are the level in seven subareas of the Public kindergarten and the private kindergarten ? 3. What difference are there level of the educational environment between the public kindergarten and the private kindergarten ? The subject of study was 15 Classrooms of the public kindergarten on and 15 Classrooms of the private kindergarten located in J city. The observation period for this study was for 2 weeks. Describing level of the kindergarten educational environment were producted by means of Mean, Standard Deviation, Range, Minimum, Maximum in the each items and the subareas. In order to analyze the difference between the public kindergarten was verified by t-test. The results of the study are as follows: 1. The general level of educational environment of the kindergarten's showed that : (1) The kindergarten educational environment was reached to 51.3percent of the total scores of the scale. In the seven subareas, Furnishings and Displays Areas (57.5percent) was superior and Social Activities Areas (48 Percent) was inferior. (2) In the items was many difference degrees of environment. That is, the items of food and snack, basic equipment and furnishings of the indoor, learning furnishings, arrangement of centers, language use, gross motor (equipment), activities of the culture comprehension, opportunity of the teacher nature encourage, parents participation activities was superior. And the items of perception and fine motor (direction supervise), gross motor (direction·supervise), water and sand activities, rest space, meeting space was inferior. 2. The level of educational environment in the public kindergarten and the private kindergarten showed that ; (1) The public kindergarten educational environment was reached to 48.3percent of the total scores of the scale. In the seven subareas, Furnishings and Displays Areas (49,8percent) was superior and Adult Needs Areas (36.3 percent) was inferior. (2) In the items was difference degrees of environment. That is, the items of food and snack, learning furnishings was superior. And the items of rest furnishings, perception and fine motor (direction·supervise), gross motor(activities plan), group play activities, parents participation activities was inferior. (3) The private kindergarten educational environment was reached to 58.5 Percent of the total scores of the scale. In the seven subareas, Furnishings and Displays Areas (65.2 Percent) was superior and Social Development Areas (52.6 Percent) was inferior. (4) In the items was difference degrees of environment That is, the items of food and snack, use of toilet, clean of dress up, basic equipment and furnishings of the in door, learning furnishings, arrangement of centers, language use, everday conversation, perception and fine motor (materials), gross motor(space), gross motor (equipment), music activities, direction ; supervise, activities of the culture comprebension, interaction of the teacher and the infant, opportunity of teacher nature encourage, parents participation activities was superior. And the items of health service and safe education, perception and fine motor (direction. supervise), group play activities was inferior. 3. The difference of educational environment in the public kindergarten and the public kindergarten showed that : The total scores of the scale of the private kindergarten's environment were significantly more than those of the public kindergarten's environment. That is, the private kindergarten's environment were 1 percent superior more than those of the public kindergarten's environment in the Personal Care Areas, Furnishings and Displays Areas, Fine and Gross Motor Activities Areas, Creative Activities Areas, Social Development Areas. And the private kindergarten's environment were 5 percent superior more than those of the public kindergarten's environment in the Language-Reasoning Experience Areas, Adult Needs Areas.
