PICO에 대한 4세 유아의 사회적 반응

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 PICO 소프트웨어의 질에 따라서 4세 유아의 칭찬 및 비난의 반응과 협동적 및 비협동적 반응이 어떻게 달라지는지 알아보는데 있다. 이러한 목적에 따라 다음의 연구문제를 설정하였다. 1. PICO 소프트웨어의 질에 따른 4세 유아의 칭찬과 비난의 반응에는 어떤 차이가 있는가? 2. PICO 소프트웨어의 질에 따른 4세 유아의 협동적 반응과 비협동적 반응에는 어떤 차이가 있는가? 본 연구의 대상은 중ㆍ상류층 유아들이 취원하고 있는 서울 강서구 한 사립 유치원의 만 4세아반 두 학급으로 각 학급당 20명씩 모두 40명이다. 연구 도구로서 2종류의 PICO 소프트웨어가 사용되었다. 이 두 소프트웨어는 High/ Scope 소프트웨어 평가지를 기초로 고안한 PICO 소프트웨어 평가도구에 의해 평가되었는데, A 소프트웨어는 그 점수가 낮고 폐쇄적이었으며, B 소프트웨어는 그 점수가 높고 개방적이었다. 그리고, PICO 소프트웨어에 따른 유아들의 칭찬과 비난의 반응, 협동적 반응과 비협동적 반응을 체크하는 체크리스트를 사용하였다. 관찰된 자료에 대해서는 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였으며, x^(2) 검정을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, PICO 소프트웨어에 따른 4세 유아의 칭찬과 비난의 반응에는 유의한 차이가 있었다. 높은 질의 소프트웨어를 사용할 때 칭찬의 반응이 더 많이 나타났고, 낮은 질의 소프트웨어를 사용할 때 비난의 반응이 많이 나타났다. 둘째, PICO 소프트웨어에 따른 4세 유아의 협동적 반응과 비협동적 반응에는 유의한 차이가 있었다. 높은 질의 소프트웨어를 사용할 때 협동적 반응이 많이 나타났고, 낮은 질의 소프트웨어를 사용할 때 비난의 반응이 많이 나타났다.;The purpose of this study is to inquire how responses of "praising" and "cooperating" of 4-year-old children differentiate in accordance with the quality of different PICO softwares. According to this purpose stated above, two research questions were arranged as follows: 1. What is the difference between praising and criticizing responses of 4-year-old children by the quality of PICO software? 2. What is the difference between cooperative and uncooperative responses of 4-year-old children by the quality of PICO softwares? The subjects of this research are 40 children of two 4-year-old classes(20 each class) of a certain kindergarten , to which the children in middle or higher classes attend, in, Kangseo-ku, Seoul, Korea. Two different PICO softwares were used as the means of this study. These two softwares were evaluated by the evaluation form of PICO software which was designed on the base of Early Childhood Software Evaluation Instrument created by High/Scope Educational Research Foundation. "A" software was graded relatively low and characterized as "closed" one, and "B" software was graded relatively high and characterized "open" one. Besides, a checklist was used to rate the responses of "praising" and "criticizing", and the "cooperative" and "uncooperitive" responses. Based on the observed data, the frequency and percentage were computed and chi-square test was executed. The result of this study goes as follows: 1. There is a significant difference between "praising" and "criticizing" responses of 4-year-old children by the quality of PICO softwares. When one software with the higher quality was used, "praising" responses were shown more than "criticizing". When the other software with lower quality was used, "criticizing" responses were shown more than "praising". 2. There is a significant difference between "cooperative" and "uncooperative" responses of 4-year-old children by the quality of PICO softwares. "Cooperative" responses were shown more than "uncooperative" when one PICO software with the higher quality was used, "uncooperative" responses were shown more than "cooperative" responses when the other PICO software with the lower quality was used.
