Arnold Schoenberg, Verkla¨rte Nacht, Op.4의 String Sextet(1899)과 String Orchestra(1943)의 비교연구

Abstract

Arnold Schoenberg(1874-1951) Verkla¨rte Nacht, Op.4 의 원곡인 현악 6중주 (string sextet)(1899)와 작곡자에 의한 현악합주(string orchestra) 편곡(2nd version, 1943)을 비교·분석함으로써 실내악(chamber)과 관현악(orchestra)에서의 관현악 기법(orchestration)변화 뿐 아니라 작품의 구조적 측면에서의 관현악 기법 변화에 대한 근거의 제시를 목적으로 하며, 本 논문을 통해 2 다른 편성에서 악기의 배치, 강약(dynamics), 프레이징(phrasing), 아티큘레이션(articulation) 등 상이한 부분을 발췌하여 서로 비교함으로 작곡자의 의도와 관현악 기법 역시 구조적 타당성에 의해 음악의 다른 요소들과 분리될 수 없음을 단편적으로나마 밝히고자 한다.;This thes s presents a comparative analysis with String Sextet (1899) and String Orchestra(revised 1943) of Arnold Schoenberg's Verkla¨rte Nacht, Op.4. Differences between string sextet and string orchestra are arranged by charts which are divided into dynamics, articulation, phrasing, Double-B ass adding, division & combination of instrumental players, division & combination of voices, counter-melody, tempo, pitch and rhythm, arrangement of instrument and muting. The aim of this study is clarifying general features of orchestral techniques in chamber and orchestral music.
