유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 인터넷 커뮤니티 참여현황과 사회적 지지 및 양육 효능감과의 관계

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 육아관련 인터넷 커뮤니티의 참여현황을 파악하고, 또한 어머니의 인터넷 커뮤니티의 참여유무 및 현황이 사회적 지지 및 양육 효능감과 관계가 있는지를 알아보는 것에 그 목적을 두었다. 이와 같은 연구 목적을 위해 본 연구에서 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 어머니의 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티에 대한 참여 현황은 어떠한가? 2. 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티의 참여유무 및 현황은 어머니의 사회적 지지와 어떠한 관계가 있는가? 3. 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티의 참여유무 및 현황은 어머니의 양육효능감과 어떠한 관계가 있는가? 본 연구의 대상은 인터넷 커뮤니티 활동을 하고 있으며 유아교육기관에 재원중인 만 3,4,5세의 자녀를 둔 어머니 193명과, 인터넷 커뮤니티 활동을 하지 않고 있으며 서울, 경기, 인천, 부산에 위치한 유아교육기관에 재원하고 있는 만 3,4,5세 자녀를 둔 어머니 193명이다. 본 연구의 목적을 위해 어머니들의 인구학적 배경을 묻는 질문을 포함하여 어머니의 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티의 참여현황, 사회적 지지, 양육 효능감을 묻는 질문지를 사용하였다. 어머니의 사회적 지지에 대한 문항은 박지원(1985)의 ‘사회적 지지 척도’를반수 무선 채택하여 사용했던 이승미(2004)의 내용 중 연구 목적에 맞는 정보적 지지와 정서적 지지 문항만을 사용하였고, 양육 효능감에 대한 문항은 Allen(1993)이 사용한 양육 효능감 척도(Parenting Efficacy Scale)를 조인경(2004)이 번안한 내용을 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 평균, 표준편차, 빈도, 백분율 그리고 t-test와 Pearson 상관관계 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티에 참여하는 어머니들의 참여는 그다지 활발하게 이루어지고 있지 않았다. 어머니들은 평균 2~3개의 커뮤니티에 가입하고 있었지만, 주 2~3회, 주 1시간 정도를 이용횟수 및 시간으로 보고하였고, 가입 기간은 주로 1년 미만~1년 정도가 대부분이었다. 즉, 어머니들의 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티의 참여는 최근에 이루어지고 있는 것으로, 적극적인 참여라고 하기에는 다소 부족한 면이 있었다. 둘째, 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티에 참여하는 어머니와 그렇지 않은 어머니의 사회적 지지에 대한 지각차이를 비교해 본 결과 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티에 참여하는 어머니가 그렇지 않은 어머니보다 사회적 지지를 더 높게 지각하고 있었으며, 사회적 지지의 하위 영역 중 정보적 지지에서 큰 차이를 나타냈다. 또한 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티에 대한 어머니의 이용 횟수, 만족도, 실천정도, 컴퓨터 활용능력과 사회적 지지는 서로 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티에 참여하는 어머니와 그렇지 않은 어머니의 양육 효능감 차이를 비교해 본 결과 하위 영역 중 교육 측면에 있어서만 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 또한 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티에 대한 어머니의 이용 횟수, 실천정도, 컴퓨터 활용능력과 양육 효능감과의 관계에서는 전반적으로 유의미한 상관이 있었으나, 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티의 만족도에 대해서는 하위 영역인 육아ㆍ교육정보와 양육 효능감의 하위 영역인 사랑, 의사소통에 대해서만 부분적으로 유의미한 상관이 있음이 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 종합해 보면, 어머니의 육아 관련 인터넷 커뮤니티의 참여는 어머니의 사회적 지지와 양육 효능감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.;The purpose of this study was to investigate the Internet Community participation status of infant's mothers and to examination social support, parenting efficacy according to the Internet Community participation and status. The research question established in this study are as follows. 1. How is the mother's participation activities to the internet community related to child care ? 2. How is the relationship between social support and participation and status regarding the child care relation Internet community of the mother? 3. How is the relationship between parenting efficacy and participation and status regarding the child care relation Internet community of the mother? The subject were each 193 participating mothers regarding child care relation Internet community and nonparticipating mothers who have 3-5 years old children in child care center and kindergarten located in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Busan. To achieve the purpose of this study, the questionnaires of child care relation Internet community of the mother's participation status, social support, parenting efficacy were used. 'The Scale of Social Support' by Seung Mi Lee(2004) was used to investigate social support and 'The Scale of Mother's Parenting Efficacy' developed by Allen(1993) was used to find out the parenting efficacy which was adapted by In Kyoung Jo. Based on the data, average, standard deviation, frequency, percentage, T-test, Pearson's correlational interpretation were analyzed. The result obtained from this study were summarized as follows. First, mothers' participation which take part in child care relation internet community was seldom consisting vigorously. Although mothers were joining in average 2 ~ 3 community and 2 or 3 times in a week, reported by utilization number of times and time about week 1 hour, also admission period less than mainly 1 year ~ there about 1 year most be. That is, as mothers' participation of child care relation internet community talks that is active participation that is consisting recently, there was quantity lacking part. Second, Searched self-consciousness difference of social support about participation existence and nonexistence of child care relation internet community. As a result, mother which take part in internet community was awaking social support higher. And there was big difference in informative support of low rank area of social support. Also, mother's utilization number of times about child care relation internet community about satisfaction, practice, computer practical use and social support appeared that is each other related. Third, there was difference in education side of parenting efficacy low rank area as result that compare parenting efficacy effect difference by participation availability of child care relation internet community. Also, mother's utilization number of times about internet community about, satisfaction, practice, computer practical use and parenting efficacy effect subtraction appeared that is each other related. But, child care and education information that is low rank area about satisfaction of child care relation internet community was related partially about love, communication that is low rank area of parenting efficacy. In conclusion, Mother's child care relation internet community participation affect social support and parenting efficacy and those were related to each other.
