정신지체아의 자해행동 교정에 관한 일 연구

Abstract

본 연구에서는 정신지체아의 자해행동을 교정함에 있어서 종래의 직접교정방법이 아닌 간접교정방법의 사용 가능성을 알아보려는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 1. 자해행동을 포함하는 여러가지 문제행동 중 한 문제 행동을 표적행동으로 하여 행동수정 절차를 적용하였을 경우 비표적 행동인 자해행동에도 변화를 일으킬 것인가. 2. 어떤 새로운 기술의 학습을 표적행동으로 하여 행동수정 절차를 적용하였을 경우 비표적행동인 자해행동에도 변화를 일으킬 것인가. 실험대상은 지시순종 비율이 50%이하이며, 장난감놀이에 관심이 없고, 자해행동을 공통으로 보이는 정진지체아동 2명이다. 2명중 아동A에게는 ABAB연구방법에 의해 지시 따르기 훈련을, 아동B에게는 AB 연구방법에 의해 장난감놀이기술을 학습시켰다. 실험은 각 아동마다 1회 15분씩 1일 1회 내지 4회 실시하였으며 실험기간은 1개월간이었다. 실험기간 동안 아동A는 지시순종 비율과 자해행동 발생 비율을, 그리고 아동B는 장난감놀이기술수준과 자해행동 발생 비율을 부분간격 기록법에 의하여 관찰 기록하여 그 변화를 측정하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 지시따르기 훈련에 있어서 표적행동인 지시순종 비율이 증가함에 따라서 비표적행동인 자해행동의 발생 비율은 감소하였다. 2. 장난감놀이기술 학습에 있어서 표적행동인 장난감놀이기술 수준이 향상함에 따라서 비표적행동인 자해행동의 발생비율은 감소하였다.; The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of indrect behavior modification approach in place of the traditional behavior modification approach toward self-injurious behavior among the mentally ratarded children, and two questiors were raised to investigate the effects. 1. Will the self-injurious non-target behavior be effected when an undesirable target behavior is modified? 2. Will the self-injurious non-target behavior be influenced by the behavior modification of a new learning skill? Two sample subjects were selected for the study, that were retarded children, non-interested in toys, self-injurious, and showed 50% level of compliance in baseline measurements. Two methods were employed for the training on the two children: one - a 3-step guided compliance training by ABAB design, and the other - chaining, prompting, and modeling for toy-play skill learning by AB design. Each training session lasted for 15 minutes, repeating 1 to 4 times per day for a month. The data were collected by partial interval recording and analized percentile computation. The results of the present research are as following 1. In compliance training, the decreased rate of self-injurious behavior was influenced by the increased rate of compliant behavior. 2. In training for toy-play skill, the decreased rate of self-injurious behavior was influenced by the increased rate of toy-play skill.
