동화를 통한 극놀이 활동이 유아의 경제기본개념 및 구매행동에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 동화를 통한 극놀이 활동이 유아경제기본개념 및 구매행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아봄으로써 향후 유아경제교육을 위한 바람직한 교수방법을 찾는데 도움이 되고자 하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 동화를 통한 극놀이 활동이 유아의 경제기본개념에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 2. 동화를 통한 극놀이 활동이 구매행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 본 연구의 대상은 강원도에 위치한 W병설유치원 만 5세 유아로, 남아 10명, 여아 14명으로 총 24명을 대상으로 하였다. 동화를 통한 극놀이 활동을 주 2회 총 4주간 실시하였으며, 극놀이 활동의 경우 다양한 극놀이 방법 중에서 ‘즉흥극’을 활용한 동극으로 활동을 진행하였다. 활동 후에 유아들을 대상으로 박미자(2008)가 우리나라 유아들을 대상으로 개발한 ‘유아경제기본개념검사’와 장수정(2004)의 연구에서 사용되었던 ‘구매행동에 관한 검사’를 실시하여 사전검사 점수와 사후검사 점수를 비교하였다. 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 동화를 통한 극놀이 활동이 유아의 경제기본개념에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 알아 본 결과 희소성과 선택, 기회비용, 소비, 상품과 서비스, 화폐, 가격과 교환, 시장 등 유아경제기본개념 하위내용 전체에서 효과를 보였다. 둘째, 동화를 통한 극놀이 활동이 구매행동에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 알아본 결과 구매행동의 하위내용인 구매전행동, 구매과정행동, 구매후행동 전체에서 모두에 효과를 보였다. 특히, ‘물건구매계획’, ‘영수증 인식’, ‘영수증 확인’, ‘불량품 인식’, ‘유통기한 인식’, ‘유통기한 확인’, ‘물건구입시 비교’, ‘불량품의 처리’에 대해 유의미한 차이를 보였다.;The purposes of this study were to investigate the impacts of dramatic play activities based on children's stories on the basic economic concepts and purchasing behavior of young children and to search for the desirable teaching methods for their economic education. For those purposes, the following research questions were set: 1. What kind of impacts do dramatic play activities based on children's stories have on the basic economic concepts of young children? 2. What kind of impacts do dramatic play activities based on children's stories have on their purchasing behavior? The subjects include total 24 five-year-olds attending W Kindergarten attached to an elementary school in Gangwon Province. There were ten boys and 14 girls. Dramatic play activities based on children's stories were applied twice a week over four weeks. Among the wide variety of dramatic play, children's play based on "improvised play" was chosen for the study. The dramatic play activities were followed by the administration of two inventories, which were "Inventory for Basic Economic Concepts of Young Children" developed by Park Mi-ja(2008) specifically for Korea's young children and the "Inventory of Purchasing Behavior" by Jang Su-jeong(2004). After comparing the subjects' pre- and post-test scores, the findings were summarized as follows: First, the dramatic play activities based on children's stories had effects on all the subitems of young children's basic economic concepts, which include selection of scarcity, opportunity cost, consumption, products and services, currency, price and exchange and market. And secondly, those activities were also effective for all the subitems of purchasing behavior, which include behavior before purchase, behavior during purchase, and behavior after purchase. Especially there were significant differences in "planning for shopping," "awareness of receipts," "checking receipts," "awareness of inferior goods," "awareness of the period of circulation," "checking the period of circulation," "making comparisons during shopping" and "dealing with inferior goods."
