세계사 교과서 대안적 서술 및 수업 방안 모색

Abstract

본 연구의 目的은 최근의 역사학계의 연구동향의 변화점을 교과서 내에서 확인해 봄으로써 새로운 역사해석에 대한 이해를 고취시키는 것을 첫 번째 목표로 한다. 덧붙여 ‘義和團 運動’ 역사 개별사건에 대한 연대기적 역사관계를 넘어 사회·정치·사회문화의 측면에 대한 다각적인 연구를 통하여 학습자 스스로 다양한 역사 사실에 대해 비판적이고 객관적인 시각을 가지고 접근할 수 있는 깊이 있는 세계사 교육의 완성을 궁극적인 목표로 한다. 본 연구는 서양의 義和團 運動에 대한 연구의 변화 동향을 살펴보고, 韓國과 中國, 美國의 교과서를 분석하여 최근의 연구 동향의 반영여부에 대해 분석해 보았다. 이를 통해 본고에서는 義和團 運動이라는 한 가지 역사적 사건에 대해 각 국의 교과서가 어떻게 서술되어 있는지 살펴보고, 최근의 연구동향을 반영한 균형 잡힌 세계사 서술 방안을 제시하였다. 본고에서 개론서 연구동향 변화와 교과서 內의 구현여부를 따지는 것은 현행 교과서 비판을 하려는 것이 아니라, 변화점을 확인하고 그 자체를 객관적으로 바라보고자 함의 일환이다. 이러한 본 연구의 의도는 제7차 개정 교육과정 고시안이 발표되고 새로운 교과서 편찬의 시점에서 시도하여 새로운 교과서의 방향을 설정해 주는 데에도 의의가 있다고 생각한다. 본 연구에서는 우선 그동안 義和團 運動에 대한 학계의 연구동향 변화를 연구성과를 분석해보고 起源, 背景, 展開, 影響 순으로 정리하였다. 起源에 대하여 기존의 연구는 白蓮敎계 연관성에 중점을 두고 살피고 있는 반면, 최근의 연구는 민중의 자위를 위한 결집으로 그 기원을 살피고 있다. 즉, 민중의 역량에 대해 조망해 볼 수 있었다. 背景에 대하여 기존 연구는 서양에 대한 비이성적인 표출로 살피고 있는 반면, 최근 연구는 자연적 재해로 인한 중국 그 중 산둥 지방의 사회·경제적 상황과 더불어 기독교 포교 과정에서 나타난 非기독교인에 대한 차별과 여러 가지 부작용으로 인해 촉발되었음을 살피고 있다. 이를 통해 義和團 運動의 背景에 대해 다각적으로 살펴 볼 필요가 있음을 주지하게 되었다. 義和團 運動의 展開에 관해 3가지의 쟁점사안으로 살펴보았다. 첫째, 의화단은 민중이 주도한 운동으로 평가되고 있으며, 둘째, 東南互保에 관하여 다양한 관점으로 평가가 달라지고 있다. 그리고 셋째, 八開國 聯合軍 각 국의 상황에 대한 개별적 조망을 통해 이후의 러일전쟁 상황까지도 유추해 볼 수 있음을 살펴보았다. 義和團 運動의 결과 입헌군주제로의 지향이 이루어지게 되었는데, 이 때 중국의 反萬 民族主義 성장에 초점을 맞추고 살펴보고, 중국뿐만 아니라 아시아를 넘어서 세계적인 흐름과 그 영향에 대해서도 살펴보았다. 이와 같은 연구동향의 변화를 통해서 제 Ⅲ장에서는 韓國, 中國, 美國의 교과서 분석을 하였다. 韓國의 교과서는 대체로 최근의 연구동향을 반영하고 있는 것처럼 보이나 추상적인 서술에 그치고 있었고, 美國의 교과서 역시 마찬가지였다. 그에 반해 中國의 교과서는 자세한 내용설명과 더불어 최근의 중국학계의 연구동향까지 상술하는 특징을 가지고 있었다. 그러나 대체로 自國中心的 역사서술을 한계를 보이고 있는 아쉬움이 있었다. 본 연구에서는 최근의 연구동향을 반영한 세계사적인 움직임에 의거하여 균형 잡힌 세계사 서술을 제안하기 위해 교과서 서술 구성을 제시하였다. 최근의 연구동향을 반영하여 각국의 교과서 서술이 이를 토대로 일정한 내용 구성을 할 수 있도록 의도하였다. 최근의 연구와 교과서 보완 내용을 토대로 교수-학습지도안을 구성하고, 다양한 자료와 생각해보기 자료를 추가 삽입하여 학생들의 義和團 運動에 대한 인식변화와 더불어 민중의 力量에 중점을 맞추어 교수하는 방법을 제시하였다. 이에 대한 수정과 보완이 앞으로 이루어 져야 할 것이다. 본 연구의 수업 활용성을 평가받기 위해서 현직 역사교사 10명을 대상으로 평가를 받았다. 대부분이 내용선정이나 구성, 연구동향의 반영, 그리고 활용성에 대해 긍정적인 평가를 해주었고, 이를 통해 실제 수업에의 가능성을 점쳐보았다. 요컨대 본고는 다원적인 역사발전에 대한 이해제고의 방향에 초점을 맞추고, 균형잡힌 세계사 교육 모색의 일환으로 義和團 運動에 대해 새롭게 접근해보았다.;The object of this author is overcoming a limit of original china modern history education study, and facilitating the understanding about new history analysis. Also, this author set a goal completion of world history’s education through various study about boxer rebellion. In chapter Ⅰ, the need and the purpose of study were addressed. In chapter Ⅱ, this author pointed origin, background, development, effect of boxer rebellion. First, former times origin analysis was connetion of paek ryun religion, but the latest origin analysis is concentration of people in general. In other words, this author look out over people in general’s ability. Second, former times background analysis was irrational expression of the west. But the latest background explains side effect about the Christian religion propagation, for example make fish of one and flesh of another at not Christian. And sandung and the nearby’s economical∙caste a primary factor cooperated to make this rebellion a stirred. In other words, this author have to survey a situation about boxer rebellion’s background diversitily through it. Third, Boxer rebellion has three faces. So this author search for it. First, the people tend to lead Boxer rebellion. Second, care and protection of the southeast policy’s revaluation and third, each several about the allied forces. And then Boxer rebellion bring about constitutional monarchy. So this author focused on the growth of the nationalism at the Manchu’s opposition. In chapter Ⅲ, this author performed analysis based on textbooks of korea, china, America, as well as display analysis results. And it look around reflection of latest analysis in textbook. In chapter Ⅳ, this author built an alternative description on latest analysis. And boxer rebellion ananlysis reorganize about people’s ability in general. In the event, external factor limited in former times, but extend student’s knowledge in latest analysis. Also, this author suggested an class with a model, And put in operated an intensive evaluation by 10 history teacher on the ground. Finally a model is judged to be a great success. After all, this author brought a better understanding and completion of world history’s education through various study about boxer rebellion. By all means this author offer a fervent prayer for development of world history about a new experiment.
