국악수업의 저해요인 분석

Abstract

1. The contents of education art to be decided and defined I accordance with educational aims. A textbook should, first of all, therefore, be systematic, reliable and universal in its approach, since it is emphasized as the most important teaching aid in the educational curriculum. The system of education has, however, changed many times. As a result of the introduction of western music, and especially after the proclamation of the National Education Charter, the study of Korean traditional music has declined in schools, even though it is indigenous to our country and reflects the spirit of our ancestors. The aim of this study is to examine how effectively Korean traditional music, as specified in fourteen different middle school text books, is systematized and composed. Not only does this study aim to research and improve on certain aspects of music education, but it also aims to influence and aid the program of textbook re-editing, which is to be undertaken in 1975. 2. This study is an analytic one, and the writer has isolated the factors obstructing the teaching of Korean traditional music in the following way:- i) The 1970 editions of middle school textbooks are analyzed and compared with the new 1973 editions. ii) Items concerning Korean traditional music as set down in the music teachers' guide book are studied and analyzed. iii) Present editions of the above-mentioned fourteen middle school text books are studied and analyzed for obstructive factors. iv) Obstructive factors in music teaching methods and difficulties in teaching Korean traditional music are analyzed and tabulated from questionnaire answers supplied by ninety three music teachers in seventy six different schools. 3. On the basis of the data collected and researched, the following conclusions are drawn:- a) The teaching materials committee should confer with professional Korean traditional music educators, so that the theory of Korean traditional music can be clarified and systematised in the traditional music textbooks. b) Materials on Korean traditional music should be clearly specified whether they are for school use or professional and scholarly use. Contents of the teacher's guide books on Korean traditional music should be systematized and corrected for the better teaching of same. c) The field of appreciation for Korean traditional music should be re-arranged. This can be achieved by proper teaching and distribution of Korean traditional instruments careful scientific study. d) Melody and texts of original folk songs should be unified, and creative techniques of Korean traditional music should be diffused like those of western music. e) It is desirable to collect a wide range of study and teaching materials for Korean traditional music so that they may be made available to the teachers of Korean traditional music. f) It is desirable that professional teachers of Korean traditional music be trained, and that all other music teachers be re-trained as to the nature of traditional music. It is also desirable that various reference sources be published for the wide dissemination of traditional music. g) It is necessary to research the various types of Korean traditional music in relation to the physical development of the students. In conclusion, factors obstructing the study of Korean traditional music in schools can be removed by the unification of traditional theory, scientific study of traditional instruments, and an examination of teaching materials. This will be achieved with the assistance of professional Korean traditional music educators.;1. 교육은 교육목적여하에 따라 교육내용이 결정지어지는 것이다. 교과서는 현실적 교육과정운영에서 가장 중요시 되는 교재이기 때문에 무엇보다 계통성과 보편성이 있고 신뢰성도 있어야 하겠다. 학교교육은 그동안 많은 변화를 가져왔고, 특히 국민교육현장의 반포등으로 민족주체성을 찾는 교육이 그어느때보다 강조되는 이 시점에서 각급학교 음악교육은 서양음악에만 치우치고 우리 조상의 얼이 담긴 음악중에서도 특히 국악교육(전통음악)은 실질상 소외되고 있는 형편이다. 이연구는 교육상황에 투입되고 있는 14종의 중학교음악교과서중, 국악항목내용이 정의적인 음악학습을 위해서 효과적으로 어느정도나 타당하게 조직구성 되었는지를 탐색해 보는 것은 음악교육에 대한 실증적 연구가 부족한 현실에서 음악교육개선 및 음악교육연구를 위해서 뜻있는 시사점을 줄수 있을 것으로 짐작되고 또한 1975년도에 새로 개편된 중학교 음악교과서내용면에 다소나마 도움이 되고자 하는데 연구의 목적이 있다고 하겠다. 2. 본 연구는 분석연구로서 연구방법은, 첫째로 현재 중학교에서 실시하고 있는 1970년도 음악과 교육과정과 1973년도에 새로 개정된 음악과 교육과정을 비교검토 및 분석하여 국악수업의 저해요소를 발견하였으며, 둘째로 중학교 음악교사들을 위해 만들어진 음악과학습지도안중 국악항목내용만 검토 및 분석하여 음악수업의 저해요소를 발견하였다. 세째로 현재 중학교에서 사용 사용하고 있는 14종의 검인정 음악교과서(1973년도에 개편실시해서 1974년도 현재까지 사용함)에서 국악학습내용면만 검토분석하여 국악수업의 저하요소를 발견하였다. 넷째로 서울시내76개교에 근무하는 음악교사 93명을 대상으로하여 국악이론지도방법 및 지도상의 애로점등을 설문지을 통해 조사분석하므로서 저해요소를 발견하였다. 3. 조사된 자료에 의한 결과를 기초로하여 결론을 맺어보면 다음과 같다. a) 국악교육전문가들로 구성된 교재연구위원회를 조직하여 국악교육의 통일된 정립이 시급하며 교과서내용이 체계적으로 다양하게 수록되어야 하겠다. b) 국악은 학교교육의 범위와 전문교육의 구분이 확실하게 구분된 연구가 병행되어야 하겠으며 특히 실제지도를 담당하고 있는 교사용학습지도안내용의 배열이 계통이 서있지 않고 산만하게 수록되어 있기 때문에 단계적인 교육지도에 곤란을 느끼고 있는 실정이다. 그러므로 이를 조속히 시정하여 좀더 세밀하게 작성되어져야 하겠다. c) 국악감상용분야에 있어서도 정리가 필요하고 국악기의 과학적연구에 의한 교육적 보급에 이바지 하여야 하겠다. b) 우리나라 고육의 민요도 하루 속히 가락과 가사의 내용이 통일되어야 하겠으며 이론정립에 따른 창작적 요소도 서양음악과 같이 넓게 보급되어야 하겠다. e) 국악제분야연구자료 및 교재를 공공지시할 기회를 갖는게 좋겠으며 국악내용이 학교교사들에게 투입될 수 있는 기회와 자료를 시급히 만들어 주어야 하겠다. f) 국악의 전문교사양성과 아울러 현직 음악교사들의 재교육이 시급하며 음악에 관한 일반적 보급을 위해 여러 가지 참고자료가 많이 나와야 하겠다. g) 학교교육에서 국악의 제분야를 어떻게 학생들의 신분적발육상태와 잘 부합될 수 있는가 하는 연구가 시급하다 하겠다. 이것을 종합하여 보면 즉 국악교육의 통일성, 악기의 과학적연구, 국악의 교재화연구, 등의 내용이 선행되므로써 국악수업의 저해요인이 제거되리라 생각된다. 그러기 위해서는 국악전문가들의 조속한 연구결과가 또한 기대되어야 하겠다.
