국내 · 외 창작그림책에서의 다양한 가족의 형태 및 가정환경 분석

Abstract

본 연구는 다양한 가족을 주제로 한 국내․외 창작그림책을 조사하여 분석함으로써, 그림책에서 다양한 가족의 형태와 가족의 역할, 그리고 가정환경이 어떻게 나타나고 있는지를 알아보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 목적을 위해 본 연구에서 설정된 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 국내․외 창작그림책에서 나타나는 다양한 가족의 형태는 어떠한가? 2. 국내․외 창작그림책에서 나타나는 다양한 가족의 역할은 어떠한가? 3. 국내․외 창작그림책에서 나타나는 다양한 가족의 가정환경은 어떠한가? 본 연구의 대상은 1997년 1월부터 2008년 4월 최근까지 출판된 창작그림책 중 다양한 가족의 형태가 나타나며 가족 구성원이 등장하는 책 123권의 그림책을 대상으로 하였으며, 이를 국내 창작그림책과 국외 창작그림책으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 다양한 가족은 한부모가족, 맞벌이가족, 입양가족, 이혼가족, 재혼가족, 조손가족, 비동거가족, 다문화가족으로 분류하였다. 가족관계는 역할과 의사소통유형으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 가정환경은 EC-HOME을 한국과 유아 대상에 맞게 수정, 보완한 가정환경 자극척도를 언어의 자극, 사회적 성숙의 촉진, 자료의 접근성, 정서적 분위기, 경험의 다양성, 물리적 환경으로 분류하여 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내․외 창작그림책에 나타난 다양한 가족 형태를 살펴본 결과 가족 구성원 수는 국내 창작그림책과 국외 창작그림책 모두 2인 가족이 가장 높게 나타났다. 다양한 가족형태로 분류하여 나누어 본 결과 국내․외 창작그림책 모두 한부모가족이 가장 많았으며, 국내 창작그림책의 경우는 한부모가족, 맞벌이가족, 비동거가족, 입양가족, 조손가족 순으로 나타났다. 국외 창작그림책의 경우는 한부모가족, 입양가족, 조손가족, 비동거가족, 이혼가족, 맞벌이가족, 이혼가족, 재혼가족, 다문화가족 순으로 나타났다. 국내의 경우 이혼가족, 재혼가족, 다문화가족 관련 그림책은 한권도 없어, 국내에서 다양한 가족 형태를 다루는 창작그림책의 수가 적음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 국내․외 창작그림책에 나타난 다양한 가족의 역할을 살펴본 결과 가족관계는 국내․외 창작그림책 모두 부모자녀 관계가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 그 다음으로 형제자매 관계, 조부모손자녀 관계 순으로 나타났다. 부모의 역할은 국내 창작그림책과 국외 창작그림책 모두 일상적 양육의 역할과 정서적 안정감을 갖게 하는 역할이 가장 높게 나타났다. 부모의 의사소통유형은 국내 창작그림책과 국외 창작그림책 모두 성실형이 높게 나타났다. 형제자매의 역할은 국내 창작그림책의 경우는 보호/의존 역할이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 국외 창작그림책의 경우는 친구/동료 역할이 가장 높게 나타났다. 또한, 형제자매간의 의사소통유형은 국내 창작그림책의 경우 성실형이, 국외 창작그림책의 경우 친밀형이 가장 높게 나타났다. 조부모의 역할은 국내․외 창작그림책 모두 지적․정서적 조력자 역할이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 의사소통유형으로는 성실형이 가장 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 국내․외 창작그림책에 나타난 다양한 가족의 가정환경 요인을 언어적 자극, 사회적 성숙의 촉진, 자료의 접근성, 정서적 분위기, 경험의 다양성, 물리적 환경으로 알아본 결과 국내 창작그림책과 국외 창작그림책 모두 정서적 분위기가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 자료의 접근성이 가장 낮게 나타났다. 가정환경 요인을 다양한 가족 형태별로 알아본 결과, 언어적 자극은 비동거가족이, 사회적 성숙의 촉진은 이혼가족이, 자료의 접근성, 정서적 분위기, 경험의 다양성, 물리적 환경은 조손가족이 가장 높게 나타났다.;The purpose of this study was to find out the diverse family types and to present diverse family structures, their relationships and environment on children‘s picture books by analyzing various domestic and overseas children‘s picture books. For this purpose, following questions were designed: 1. How the diverse family structures are represented in the picture books? 2. How the diverse family roles are described in the picture books? 3. How the diverse family environments are described in the picture books? The subject of this research was from one hundred and twenty-three domestic and overseas picture books with the most family types and characters, which published between January 1997 and April 2008. the diverse family structures were divided into small family groups such as Single parent families, Double-income families, Adopted families, Divorced families, Remarried families, Multi-cultural families, Non-cohabita -tion families and families with only grand child and grandparents living together. Furthermore, the relationship of families were analyzed into different roles in the families and types of communications. Lastly, the family environments were separated into stimulation measurement and EC-HOME and this was clarified into Linguistic stimulus, Social growth promotions, Material approaches, Emotional atmospheres, Diversity of experiences and Physical environments. The results of this study were as follows : First, studying Diverse family structures, the most favorite number of family members were Two in the family and Single parent family types were most figured in both domestic and overseas picture books. For domestic, Single parent families were frequently showed followed by Double-income families, Non-cohabitation families, Adopted families and families with only grandchild and grandparents living together. Also, Single parent families were seen most in overseas however, slightly different orders were found in the frequency ranking order Adopted families, Families with only grandchild and grandparents living together, Non-cohabitation families, Divorced families, Double-income families, Remarried families and M ulticultural families. There was no picture book related with particular family types such as Divorced families, Remarried families and Multicultural families in domestic picture books. Secondly, In terms of diverse family role, majority of them were dealt with parent-child relationships in both domestic and overseas followed by siblings, grand children and grandparents relationships. It was frequently showed that the parental role was mainly to provide emotional stability and sincerity was seen as most common tools of communications . The role of siblings were appeared to be protective and dependant in domestic picture books, where as siblings played as friends/colleagues roles in overseas picture books. Moreover, sincere types of communication were mostly seen in domestic and intimate types for overseas picture books. The role of grandparents were often seen as intellectual and emotional supporters and majority of them used sincere types of communication. Third, the Family Environmental Factors were studied into Linguistic Stimulus, Social Growth Promotions, Material Approaches, Emotional Atmospheres, Diversity of Experiences and Physical Environments. As a result, only rare number of Material Approaches were found in this study. The Emotional Atmospheres were found in great deals in both domestic and overseas pictured books. In terms of Family Environment Factors in family types, Linguistic Stimulus were appeared mostly in Non-Cohabitation families, Social Growth Promotions in Divorced families and Material Approaches, Emotional Atmospheres, Diversity of Experiences and Physical Environments were highly rated in the families with grandparents and grandchild.
