창의적인 즉흥연주를 위한 피아노 교수방안

Abstract

인간은 본능적으로 아름다움을 추구하며, 자신의 내면에 있는 아름다움을 남에게 표현하고 싶어한다. 또한 삶을 통하여 경험하는 인간 고유 본연의 감정과 생각을 언어, 그림, 음악, 동작 등 여러 수단을 통하여 표현하는 것이 예술이다. 예술은 이러한 인간의 표현하려는 본능적인 욕구를 충족시켜 창조력을 개발하는 것은 정서적 안정과 성장에 도움을 주는 교육적 가치가 있으므로 사람들이 예술 교육을 받는 것이다. 음악은 인간의 사상과 감정을 소리라는 매개체를 통해 전달하고자 하는 인간 본연의 창조적 욕구의 표현이다. 따라서 음을 통해 개인의 생각과 느낌을 다양한 수준에서 표현할 수 있는 음악적 능력 개발이 음악교육이 추구하는 본질적 목적 가운데 하나이다. 피아노 교육 또한 이런 취지에 부합하여 피아노를 통해 음악적 이해력과 미적 감수성 및 창의적인 표현력을 배양하는데 토대를 두어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 창조활동의 한 방법으로 피아노에서 즉흥연주 교수 방안에 대해 알아본다. 시대적으로 즉흥연주 양식의 변천사와 즉흥연주 기법을 알아보고, 현대 음악교육자들의 즉흥연주에 대한 견해를 통해 즉흥연주의 중요성을 알아본다. 피아노 즉흥연주를 잘 하기 위해 선행되는 기본훈련, 즉, 초견, 청음, 조옮김, 화성 붙이기 및 반주, 편곡 등을 통해서 즉흥연주를 한층 강화시키는 교수방법을 알아보고, 음악의 기본적인 요소들, 즉 리듬, 선율, 화성, 형식, 셈여림, 빠르기 등을 중심으로 즉흥연주 교수방안을 연구하여 수준별로, 단계적으로 실제 레슨에서 적용할 방안을 제시한다. 학생들이 음악요소의 종류와 개념을 이해하고 기초적인 음악요소의 훈련을 한 후에 간단한 즉흥연주의 기법들을 사용하여 즉흥연주를 해보고, 음악요소간의 관계도 느끼면서 실제 즉흥연주에도 도움이 되도록 한다. 또한 음악 요소뿐 아니라 음악 외의 다른 예술분야 또는 그 소재들, 즉 동시, 동화, 그림 등을 음악과 연계해서 창작할 수 있는 방법을 연구하여 실제 레슨에 적용, 활용할 방안을 제시한다. 학생들을 위한 동시나 학생들이 직접 지은 동시, 일상생활 속에서 소재를 찾아 떠오르는 악상을 지어 즉흥연주를 해보고, 아이들을 위한 동화를 읽고 내용을 토대로 즉흥연주를 해본다. 학생들로 하여금 학생이 가지고 있는 음악적 어휘를 창의적으로 구사할 수 있게 하며, 음악의 다른 예술분야와의 관계를 이해하고 활용할 수 있도록 한다.;Instinctively does mankind tend to seek beautifulness and wishes at the same time to show his or her inner beauty to other people. The art, in this context, may well be interpreted as the product of expressing one’s emotions and thoughts acquired through the life in various forms such as language, painting, music, movements, etc. The art must contain such an educational value as to develop creativity while fulfilling instinctual human desire for expression and help bring one’s mental growth as well as emotional stability, why people have so long devoted themselves to the art itself and art education. In this respect, music is a form of expression of innate human desire for creativity that one wishes to transmit one’s thoughts and emotions to others through sound as medium. Therefore the development of musical talents capable enough to express one’s own ideas and feelings in different ways can be considered one of the intrinsic purposes for the music education. With the same reasoning, the piano pedagogy too shall be based upon nurturing musical comprehension, aesthetical sensibility, and creative expression by means of piano, a physical instrument. This thesis is intended to present some methods of piano pedagogy for impromptu performance as one of the creative activities. Also included herein are: (i) how styles and techniques of impromptu performance have been transformed since ancient times; (ii) views of some of the renowned music educationalists of the times on the importance of impromptu performance; (iii) studies on methods of the piano pedagogy for how to enhance impromptu performance through fundamental disciplines preceded for better performance, such as sight reading, sight singing and listening, playing by ear, transposing, harmonizing and accompanying, practicing techniques, memorizing, and arranging; and (iv) suggestions of some methods applicable to different levels and stages in practical piano lessons, while the studies on the piano pedagogy methodologies are focused primarily on the basic elements of music, i.e. rhythm, melody, harmony, form, dynamic, tempo, articulation, etc. Students can learn to understand different kinds of musical elements and their concepts and then practice basic elements of music before they are able to perform any pieces using simple impromptu performance techniques. By doing do, they can experience some feelings of musical elements and their interrelations and thus help get themselves familiarized with impromptu performances in practice. In addition, this thesis suggests some possibilities of creating works for piano not only with musical elements but by grafting materials of other fields of art such as children’s poems, stories, fairy tales, paintings, etc. onto music and applying those works to practical piano lessons. Piano teacher or pupil may well make an attempt to compose pieces for impromptu performance when hitting a musical motif from children’s verses or those written by children themselves, or any materials in every day life, and also try to do an impromptu performance based on the plot or content of a children’s story. Students must be not only motivated to creatively command musical vocabularies of their own, but also encouraged to understand and make use of other fields of art and their relations with music.
