高等學校 學生들의 敎科에 대한 嗜好度 및 原因 調査

Abstract

오늘날의 敎育이 人間이 지녀야 할 모든 必要한 能力을 고루 지니도록 全人敎育을 目標로 하고 있는 한, 音樂科의 位置 또한 보다 넓은 敎育的 機能을 認識하지 않으면 안 될 것이다. 特히, 高等學校에서의 音樂敎育은 基礎的인 知識習得보다는 音樂的인 體驗을 通하여 아름다운 情緖와 圓滿한 人格을 形成하는 同時에 우리의 生活을 明朗하고 和睦하게 하여 크게는 우리나라의 文化向上에 寄與할 수 있는 能力 및 態度를 기르는데 그 目的을 두고 있다. 그러므로, 本 硏究를 通해서 靑少年期의 學生들에게 現在 實施되고 있는 音樂受業의 實態를 把握하여 敎科別 興味度와 그에 따른 原因 分析을 해 봄으로서, 다소나마 보탬이 되는 올바른 音樂敎育의 方向을 提示하는 데에 本 硏究의 目的과 意義를 두는 것이다. 本 硏究에서는 서울 시내 高等學校를 對象으로 10개의 學校를 選定하여, 人文系列, 實業系列, 性別로 區分하여 興味敎科를 中心으로 한 高等學生들의 音樂的 嗜好를 質問紙法을 使用해 1815명에 걸쳐서 알아 보았다. 그 結果로, 學生들은 人文系列의 學生보다는 實業系列의 學生들이 音樂敎科에 대한 嗜好順位가 높게 나타났으며, 특히, 男學生들보다 女學生들이 좋아하는 傾向을 보였다. 그리고, 많은 學生들이 音樂受業에 興味를 느끼고 있는 것으로 나타났으며 그 理由로는 音樂時間을 더 늘렸으면 하고 바라는 應答者가 半 敎以上을 차지한 것으로 보아 더 많은 音樂時間을 必要로 하고 있음을 알 수가 있다. 그러나, 大入 學力考査와 關聯된 敎科目들로 因하여 學力考査와 關係없는 音樂科의 位置가 時間配當과 關聯이 있을 것으로 보여진다. 特히, 音樂科에 대한 意識傾向에서 많은 學生들이 重要하지 않은 敎科로 여기는 傾向도 나타나고 있으며, 音樂鑑賞 亦是 時間에 쫓기어 餘裕가 없는 것 等으로 미루어 音樂興味의 缺如가 아닌 時間的 餘裕가 問題가 되고 있음을 알 수가 있다. 또, 敎科別 興味度에서는 高等學校 學生들의 學力考査와 關聯된 科目이 于先으로 나타나고 있음을 알 수가 있으며, 이러한 現象이 곧 問題가 되고 있음을 알 수가 있다. 그러므로, 現行 敎育課程에서 實施되고 있는 敎師들과 學生들 自身 모두가 潛在的으로 支配하고 있는 大入爲主의 敎科目 重視로부터 脫皮하여, 또 充分한 音樂敎科의 時間配當과 音樂施設의 補完등으로 音樂의 生活化를 꾀한다면 보다 나은 音樂敎育의 方向을 摸索할 수 있음은 勿論이며, 앞으로의 健全한 音樂的인 情緖敎育에 크게 寄與할 수 있으리라 期待된다.;As today's education aims at the perfect education by fostering various abilities which are supposed to be inherent in human beings, the musical education should also recognize not only the training for emotional ability but also for wider educational functions. In particular, the musical education for high schools should emphasize the acquirement of fundamental knowledge, but also promote the formation of emotional and well-rounded human characteristics through musical experiences. At the same time emphasis should be placed upon fostering abilities and attitudes to make our daily life bright and harmonious, in order to contribute to cultural development of the nation. With this perspective, musical education in high school days is very important as the students are most sensitive emotionally during this growth period. In this survey, the status of musical studies at schools, and the students' favorite courses and the reasons therefore will be studied and analyzed, in order to present recommendations which could improve musical education. For the purpose of the survey, 10 high schools located in Seoul were selected, and they were divided into liberal arts and vocational schools, as well as by sex. Altogether 1,815 students participated in the survey. Prepared questionnaires were distributed to the students and the collected data were analyzed. The results of the analysis can be summarized as follows: According to the survey, the students of vocational schools preferred musical courses to liberal arts school students. And girl students tended to like music more than boy students. In general, the majority of high school students were interested in music classes, because they hoped the length of music classes would be expanded. However, due to the achievement test for college entrance, and music is not included in the test, there seems to be a problem in time allocation at school. A large number of students complained of the length or music class hours. Special attention should be given to music. Particularly, many students seem to regard music as an easy and relaxing course and therefore a less important course than the test-related courses. As for music appreciation, they responded that they cannot enjoy it due to the lack of time and not the lack of interest, which means the length of time is a serious problem. Therefore, both students and teachers should emerge from the burden of the test, which is implemented under the current educational curriculum, and more time should be allocated for music study hours and musical facilities should be provided as well. That way, we could pursue better direction for musical education, which will contribute to sound musical activities and cultural development in future.
