韓·日 中學校 歷史敎科書 比較 分析

Abstract

본 연구는 우리 나라 중학교 역사교육을 객관적으로 검토해 보고자 교육적 제반 환경이 비슷한 일본의 중학교 역사교과서와 우리 나라의 그것을 분석·비교한 것이다. 우선, 양국의 교과서 분석을 위한 전제로서 중학교 역사교육의 성격과 역사 교과서가 지녀야 할 기능에 대해서 선행 연구를 중심으로 정리하였고, 구체적인 연구의 주제로 두나라의 역사과 교육목표, 분석 대상 교과서의 단원체제, 내용선정, 시대구분과 서술 내용을 분석·비교하였다. 서술내용의 분석범위는 양국 역사 교과서의 공통 내용인 세계사 관련 내용만으로 하고, 세계사부분 전체에 흐르는 역사서술의 방법을 파악하고자 하였다. 우리 나라와 일본은 모두 중학교 단계의 학생들에게 역사를 기초지식으로서 가르치고 있다. 학교 교육에서는 교과서를 이용하여 역사적 사실을 가르치고 있는데, 이를 통해 역사에 관심을 갖게 하고, 시대상과 시대의 변화를 이해시키고, 나아가서는 현 세계에서 직면하는 문제점들에 혹은 다가오는 미래에 효과적으로 대처할 수 있는 능력을 키우고자 하는 목적을 갖고 있다. 그리고 두 나라의 중학교 역사 교과서의 구성과 공통내용인 세계사의 내용선정과 서술방법을 비교해 본 결과, 우리 나라 교과서의 단원체제는 탐구식 학습 활동에 적합하도록 되어있고, 세계 여러나라의 역사를 다루고 있는 점이 주목된다. 특히 아시아를 지역에 따라 서아시아, 동북아시아, 동남아시아로 구분하여 아시아 각국의 역사를 다루고, 비교사적인 접근이 가능하도록 편성한 것이 주목된다. 그러나 일본의 교과서가 지도·삽화·도표등을 균형있게 안배하고 제한된 지면을 효과적으로 사용하고 있다는점, 학습과제의 진술형식이 자료에 대한 분석력·해석력등을 위한 적극적인 학습활동을 유도하는 것이라는 점, 우리보다 현대사에 비중을 많이두고 있다는 점, 세계사 가운데 일본의 위치와 역할을 이해시키고자 하는 방향에서 현대사를 다루고 있다는 점, 현재 큰 과제로 되어 있는 경제문제에 많은 비중을 두고 국제경제와 국가경제의 구조와 변화에 대해 다루고 있는 점등은 우리의 역사교육에서 참고할 필요가 있다. 그리고 결론적으로 중학교단계는 아직 세계에 대한 인식이 굳어지기 전이므로 정확한 사실을 바탕으로 균형있고 올바른 역사상을 심어주는 교육이 되어야 함을 제시한다. 본연구가 미흡하나마 우리나라 교과서연구를 객관화 시키고, 앞으로 교과서 편찬하는데에 도움이 되었으면 한다.;The purpose of this study is to review the history textbooks used in Korea junior high schools by comparing history textbooks used in Japanese junior high schools which have similar educational backgrounds to those in Korea. The study begins by looking into the nature of history education taught in junior high schools and the functions which history textbooks should have. And then the educational objects of history curricula in two nations and chapter structures, tables, epoch classification system, and statements of textbooks to be analyzed are explored and compared in detail. The range of analysis of statements is limited only to the world history which are common to the textbooks in both nations so that the manner to describe the details all over the world history can be grasped. In Korea and Japan junior high school student have been taught history as one of the basic knowledges. School in both countries uses textbooks in teaching historical facts, awaking students's interests in history, having them understand the aspects and meaning of changing times, and, furthermore, developing their abilities to meet any problems now and here or to prepare the future effectively. Comparing the structures and the way of selecting, determining, and stating world history, common part, of history textbooks in two countries reveals that those used in Korea are relatively suitable for inquiring study and deals with various nation. Especially they cleassify Asia into West Asian country. It is noted that they are edited to give a possibility of comparative approach to the Asian history. Meanwhile, the counter parts of Japan use limited space more effectively by arranging maps, pictures, and diagrams in balance; Their homework tesks are stated to lead students to positively analyze and translate their statments; They emphasize the modern history more then those Korean, students use; When expressing the moden history, the intend to have students realize the Japanese position and role in terms of world history; They also deal with the structures and changes of international and national economies simultaneouslt with more weight given to present big trouble, economic matters. All of these should be considered for our history education. Finally, in concluson, the study suggest that the junior high school student should be taught balanced and correct point of historical view because they do not have a fixed idea about the world yet. Hopefully, this small study will be instrumental in objectively reviewing the history textbooks used in Korea and editing and publishing thrm better in the future.
