웹 기반 그림일기 쓰기 시스템의 설계 및 구현

Abstract

We live in the 21st century's information society based on a super high-speed communication network. Various methods for the better use of computers are being pursued over the whole field of industry. The educational world is also attempting many efforts to employ computers as means for education. The so-called picture diary is a means for writing education that the lower-grade elementary school students have first in the process of their schooling. By keeping a diary everyday, they may reflect on their daily lives, promote their writing skills, and further have beautiful sentiments and humanity. Therefore, keeping a diary is considered very important in schooling. At school, however, the guidance of children in keeping a diary raises problems such as the lack of time, perfunctory examination, and children's loss of interest. A web-based education system is applicable for solving those problems. The web-based education system functions to stimulate students' curiosity and provides various information and advices on learning without the restriction of space and time. By adopting such advantages, it is necessary to develop an advanced education system, which enables children to have interest in writing and helps them refine their expression skills. The study offered the design and realization of a diary-keeping system, which helps the lower-grade elementary school students express their daily activities using pictures and simple sentences. The offered system provides a picture diary editing workbook on which the lower-grade students can easily write their diaries; enables students to improve their writing skills through teachers' advices on their diaries; and facilitates interaction between students so that they can continue to have interest in writing a diary and form the habit of keeping a diary in their daily lives.;우리는 초고속 통신망을 기반으로 한 21세기 정보화 사회에 살고 있다. 산업전반 여러 분야에서 컴퓨터를 다양한 방법으로, 보다 더 나은 이용 방법을 모색하고 있으며 교육 분야에서도 컴퓨터를 교육 도구로 사용하려는 다양한 노력들이 시도되고 있다. 그림일기는 초등학교 저학년 아동들이 학교에서 처음 접하는 글쓰기 교육이다. 일기쓰기를 통해 생활을 반성하고, 글짓기 능력을 신장시키며, 나아가 아름다운 정서와 인간성을 함양시킬 수 있다. 따라서 학교 교육에 있어서 일기쓰기의 중요성은 누구나가 인정하고 있다. 그러나 교육현장에서의 일기쓰기 지도는 지도 시간 부족과 형식적인 검사, 아동들의 흥미 상실로 이어지고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 웹 기반 교육시스템을 적용할 수 있다 웹 기반 교육시스템은 다양한 방법으로 학습자의 호기심과 흥미를 유발하고, 학습에 대한 안내 및 조언을 시 공간의 제약을 받지 않고 가능하게 해준다. 이러한 장점을 활용하여 아동들이 글쓰기를 좋아하게 하고, 표현력을 향상시킬 수 있는 교육 시스템 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 웹상에서 초등학교 저학년 아동들이 하루 일과를 쉽게 그림과 짧은 글로 표현할 수 있는 일기쓰기 시스템을 설계·구현하였다. 본 시스템은 저학년 아동들이 혼자서 일기를 쓸 수 있도록 일기쓰기 학습란을 두었으며, 쓴 일기에 대해서 교사의 지도를 통해 쓰기 능력을 함양할 수 있고, 학습자와 학습자간 상호작용을 통해 일기 쓰기에 지속적인 흥미를 가지고 생활화 할 수 있도록 하였다.
