아동기의 바람직한 피아노 교육 방법론에 관한 연구

Abstract

아동기는 인간 발달 과정 중 가장 역동적이고 급속한 발달을 보여주는 시기로, 인간발달의 기초적 시기이다. 음악적 측면에서도 아동기는 음악적 능력을 최대한으로 발달시킬 수 있는 시기이다. 아동기의 보편화된 음악교육의 수단으로 피아노 교육을 들을 수 있다. 오늘날의 피아노 교수법은 높은 수준의 기술적이고 기능적인 능력의 개발과 신장을 강조하고 있지만, 이는 음악교육의 본질적인 목적과는 거리가 있는 것이다. 본 연구자는 아동기 피아노 교육에 있어서 소홀히 취급되는 경향이 있는 아동의 피아노 학습에 대한 흥미와 관심, 이를 통한 긍정적인 태도와 가치관의 확립을 일차적이고 본질적인 피아노 교육의 목적이라고 생각한다. 이것을 기본 전제로 효과적이고 올바른 아동기의 피아노 교육 방법론을 연구하는데 본 연구의 목적을 두고있다. 구체적으로 본 논문에서는 다음과 같은 연구주제를 설정한다. 첫째, 아동기 피아노 교육의 의의와 교육목표를 알아본다. 둘째, 정의교육의 중요성과 정의적 영역에 대한 분류의 기초를 알아본다. 셋째, 피아노 교육의 성취에 영향을 주는 요인들에 대해 관계 문헌을 중심으로 살펴본다. 넷째, 아동의 흥미와 관심, 필요에 일차적인 중요성을 갖고 실천되는 교수법으로 스즈끼 피아노 교수법을 선정하여, 기본개념과 철학, 교육방법에 대해 알아본다. 다섯째, 피아노 교육에 관한 부모, 교사, 학생의 의식구조를 일반 음악 학원과 스즈끼 학원을 대상으로 설문을 통하여 비교해 본다. 여섯째, 피아노 학습에 대한 아동의 흥미, 태도, 가치관의 확립 양상과 음악적 능력에 관한 성취도와의 상관 관계를 알아본다. 학부모, 교사, 학생의 의식구조에 대한 설문을 근거로 아동의 피아노 학습에 대한 정의적 영역의 확립양상을 알아보고, 이들과 음악능력 테스트의 결과를 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 내릴 수 있었다. 1. 아동의 피아노 학습에 대한 흥미와 긍정적인 태도, 그리고 가치관의 형성과 확립에 영향을 주는 요인으로는 학부모의 교육 목적과 지도방법, 그리고 교육적 열의, 참여의 형태가 있다. 2. 아동의 피아노 학습에 대한 흥미와 태도, 그리고 가치관의 형성에 영향을 주는 요인으로 교사의 교수목적과 레슨방법, 그리고 아동에 대한 관심과 교육적 태도 등을 들 수 있다. 3. 아동의 음악능력 성취도는 아동의 피아노 학습에 대한 흥미와 태도, 그리고 가치관에 대한 확립의 양상과 깊은 관련성을 갖고 있다. 4. 아동의 음악능력 성취도에 영향을 주는 변수로 학습 관계자들의 의식구조를 들 수 있다. 학부모들의 교육목적과 교육적 열의, 교사들의 교수 목적은 아동들의 음악능력의 성취도에 영향을 주는 요인으로 나라났다. 5. 피아노 학습에 대한 아동의 흥미, 태도, 가치관 등의 정의적 영역의 목표달성과 성장을 중시하고 실시되는 피아노 교육 방법론은 그 학습연한이 경과될수록 음높이, 리듬, 강세에 대한 성취도에 있어서 높은 수준을 보여주고 있다.;This study has two principal purposes. The first is to review the delicate concept of musical education involved in various factors that impact on musical abilities related to primary interests, attitudes, and values toward the piano education in early childhood. The second is to analyze musical aspects of proper teaching method for the children. According to the previous studies, many professionals have spent great amount of time in developing the proper method to foster musicality of the children. In this study, the researcher is concentrated in analyzing the factors which affect the growth of a child's musical ability - such as rhythm, pitch, and dynamic -. The analyzed factors are a child's interests, attitudes and values toward piano education. More precisely, this researcher has: (1) reviewed the purpose and objectives of the piano education in early childhood; (2) reviewed importance of the education in affective domain and the foundation of taxonomy of the affective domain discussed by Krathwohl, Bloom and Masia; (3) analyzed the major factors that have significant impact on achievement of piano education; (4) defined both concept of philosophy and educational method through the Suzuki method chosen by the researcher from various piano teaching methods; (5) analyzed the sense of education in group of parents, teachers and students based on the result of the survey that has been conducted in both the general and the Suzuki music institutes; (6) tried to find out the factors which affects the musical growth of early childhood. Through these procedures, the researcher has come to the following conclusions: 1. The educational purpose, instructive method and the types of participation from the parents can make significant impact on children's musical abilities, interests and positive attitudes toward the piano education. 2. The proper method and purpose from the instructors are one of the major factors that can develop a child's interests, attitudes, and values toward the piano education. 3. The achievement of a child's musical ability is closely related to the characteristics of a child's interests, attitudes and values toward the piano education. 4. The harmony of the educational eagerness and proper instructive method from the both parents and instructors is the major factor that significant impact on achieving a child's musical growth.
