음악회 청중의 음악적 성향에 관한 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to reconsider the current state of the concert culture and musical life with a view of the sociology of music, and to provide effective data in order to conduct more advanced research about musical culture in the future. The literature survey in the introduction is to provide the theoretical background of this research. There are studies on musical audience with a view of the sociology of music and questions in questionnaire. In addition, the results of the current research on the concert culture are mentioned. The questionnaire survey was conducted for the audiences gone in the concerts held in the Sejong Cultural Center and the Seoul Arts Center. The content and the results of the questionnaire used for this survey are following. 1. personal characteristic: The survey was done four times by 756 respondants. The highest percentage of the respondants are 20ties in age, females in sex, Christians in religion, music in major, students in occupation, 2-3 millions won of monthly family income reciepients. 2. Concert culture: The audiences come to concerts for pure interest and the level of concert culture is high in quality. 3. Musical life: The survey showed that the classic lover takes an active part in music life. Although, compared to the audience in 10ties, the audience in 40ties showed low percentage in the participation to the concerts are more actively involved in their music life. 4. Musical taste: Their favorite composer was Mozart and the favorite performer was Hanna Chang. The most favorite performance is by violin. They tend to go to orchestra concerts. In addition, they listen to Korean pop songs beyond the classical music. 5. Opinion on music: They think that most of the classic lover are found in mid-high social class and the appreciation of the classical music should be propagated. This research showed thar the problem still remains that the concert audience is restricted to a certain social class. I think that the advanced research should be conducted to improve the state of concert culture and this research should contribute to it.;본 논문은 음악회와 음악 생활의 실태를 음악 사회학적 측면에서 조사하여 보다 발전된 음악 문화를 위한 연구의 자료를 제시하기 위한 목적으로 작성된 조사 연구이다. 연구의 이론적 배경을 구축하기 위하여 문헌 연구를 통하여 음악 사회학적 측면에서의 음파 청중에 관한 이론과, 조사 연구를 위하여 작성된 설문지의 내용에 관한 이론적 근거를 제시하였다. 그리고 음악회 청중과 관련된 선행연구를 분석하였으며 실태조사 자료를 통하여 한국의 음악회 현황을 살펴 보았다. 연구 목적 달성을 위한 설문 조사는 우리나라의 대표적인 클래식 음악 공연장인 세종문화회관 대·소강당과 예술의 전당 콘서트홀·리사이틀홀의 음악회 청중을 대상으로 실시되었으며, 조사 결과는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 1. 응답자의 인적사항 - 4회에 걸친 질문지 조사에 응한 756명의 응답자 중 20대, 여성, 미혼자, 기독교인, 대학재학 이상의 학력자, 음악전공자, 학생, 가족의 월평균 소득 200-300만원의 응답자가 가장 높은 비율을 차지 하였다. 2. 음악회 문화의 실태 - 다수의 음악회 청중은 음악에 대한 순수한 관심으로 음악회를 관람하고 청중의 음악회 문화는 전반적으로 높은 수준이었다. 3. 음악 생활의 실태 - 음악회를 찾는 클래식 애호가들은 역시 평소에도 적극적인 음악 생활을 하고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다 특히 40대의 청중은 음악회 참여도는 낮지만 음악 생활에 있어서는 매우 적극적이라는 결과가 나온 반면, 10대 청중은 이와 상반된 경향을 나타내었다. 4. 음악적 선호 - 다수의 음악회 청중은 작곡가는 모차르트를, 연주가는 첼리스트 장한나를 좋아하고 악기는 바이올린을 선호한다. 이들은 교향악단의 연주회를 가장 많이 참석하고 클래식 외에도 가요를 즐긴다. 5. 클래식의 대중화에 관한 견해 - 다수의 음악회 청중은 우리나라의 클래식 애호가가 일부 특정계층에 한정되어 있다고 생각하며, 클래식 음악의 대중적인 확산에 대하여는 비교적 개방적인 견해를 가지고 있다. 연구결과 청중의 음악회 문화나 음악 생활은 대체로 만족할 만한 수준이었지만 고학력자·고소득층으로 나타나는 편중된 청중의 분포는 클래식의 대중화를 위한 과제가 아직도 많이 남아있음을 시사하고 있다. 앞으로 진정한 음악회 문화의 발전을 위하여 제 분야의 연구가 더욱 활발히 이루어지기를 기대한다.
