텔레비젼 시청에 대한 유아의 반응과 어머니의 관여에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 현대인의 생활에서 큰 부분을 차지하며 어린이에게 지대한 영향을 미치는 텔레비젼이 유아의 생활에 어떠한 영향을 주는가를 알아 보기 위하여 현재 방영되고 있는 유아 텔레비젼 프로그램에 대한 어린이의 반응을 알아 보는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 이와 같은 목적으로 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정 하였다. 1. 현재 방영되는 유아 프로그램에 대한 유아의 반응은 어떠한가? 1-1 유아적 기호에 대한 반응 1-2 집중에 관한 반응 2. 유아의 텔레비젼 시청에 대한 어머니의 관여는 어떠한가? 3. 유아 프로그램에 대한 어머니의 기대는 어떠한가? 연구문제 1-1,2,3을 위하여 어머니를 대상으로 질문지에 의한 면접법을 시행 하였으며 1-2를 위하여 현재 방영되는 유아 프로그램 중 H.P.프로그램을 보여주고 그 반응을 관찰 하였다. 연구의 대상은 서울시내 D유치원의 5~6세 유아 50명과 어머니 50명으로 하였다. 사용된 자료는 현재 KBS, MBC에서 방영되고 있는 유아 프로그램 H.P. 두 프로그램을 무선 표집하여 각 3편씩 녹화하여 사용 하였다. 결과 처리는 연구문제 1-1,2,3을 위해서는 빈도처리 하였으며 1-2를 위해서는 회귀선 검증을 하였다. 연구문제의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1-1 어린이들은 텔레비젼 프로그램중에서 만화를 가장 좋아 하고(48%) 그 다음이 코메디(30%), 유아프로그램(22%)으로 나타났다. 1-2 어린이들은 프로그램 방영시간이 경과함에 따라 노래, 드라머 학습활동은 집중도가 비교적 약하다고 볼 수 있으며 인형극, 만화, 이야기는 집중도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 2. 유아의 텔레비전 시청에 대해 어머니들은 보고싶은데로 보게(38%)하는 허용적인 태도를 보였고 의견교환은 가끔 토론하는(58%)것으로 나타났다. 3. 유아 프로그램에 대해서 어머니들은 명작동화, 만화(32%)를 많이 보여 줄 것과 프로그램의 질 향상(30%)을 기대하고 있으며 프로그램의 시간 재조정(26%)을 기대하는 것으로 나타났다.;The present study purports to investigate the children's response to the television programs for them, with a view to ascertaining the influence of T.V. programs upon children's life. For the limited purpose of the present study the following subjects have been selected: 1. How are the children's responses to the presently televised children progrms? 1 - 1, preference respone 1 - 1, concentration response 2. How are the involvements of mothers in the children's T.V. viewing ? 3. What do mothers expect from the children programs of T,V.? Questionnaire survey has been conducted for 1 - 1, 2 and 3 , whereas response observation method has been taken for 1 - 2 by way of viewing certain children programs taped from T.V.. For the survey 50 children in the age group of 5 to 6 and their mothers were selected from kindergarten D in Seoul. Sampled programs, H and P were taped from K.B.S. and M.B.C. T.V. stations. Frequency test and reqression line test have best given to have the sampled materials processed. Findings are as follows ; 1 - 1. It appears that children prefer cartoons most (48%) followed by comedies (30%) and programs for children (22%). 1 - 2. As the viewing time progresses the degree of concentration is relatively low in case of songs dramas and learning programs. However, puppet dramas, cartoons and story telling programs are found to draw concentration of high degree. 2. As for the viewing opportunities of children, mothers seem to be rather lenient. They let the children watch T.V. as they wish to (38%) and have occasional discussions with children on it (58%). 3. With respect to the expectations of mothers for program development of T.V., they want fairy tales and cartoons most (32%). They also seem to expect upgrading of program quality (30%) and rescheduling of programs (26%).
