행위과제 수행방법의 비전략적 특성 및 기억수행 효과에 관한 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the nonstrategic character and effect of behavioral task method on children with mild daisbilities. Thirty children with mild disabilities in mental age 8, 10, 12, thirty children with mild disabilities in chronological age 8, 10, 12 and thirty normal children in age 8, 10, 12 were studied, ten per age. Two lists of ten concrete nouns were used. In behavioral task method, the experimenter placed each object on the desk speaking out the name of the object and subjects were required to make motion using the object. In verbal task method, the experimenter read aloud one new word every five seconds and subjects were required to repeat the names of the words they had heard. The experiment was conducted with individual child. ONEWAY-ANOVA and T-TEST were used for the analyses of data and their interpretations. The results of the present study can be summarized as follows: 1. No significant differences existed between the three age levels of method and verbal MA-matched retarded group in both behavioral task method and verbal task method. 2. Significant differences existed between the three age levels of normal children in both behavioral task method and verbal task method. 3. Significant differences existed between the scores of free recall of normal children and CA-matched retarded children. And significant differences were found in both behavioral task method and verbal task method. 4. Significant differences existed between behavioral task and verbal task methods. The scores of free recall in behavioral task method significantly higher than those of verbal task method.;본 연구에서는 정신지체아에 있어서 행위과제 수행방법이 비전략적 특성을 보이는지에 대하여 그리고 이 방법이 정신지체아의 기억수행에 미치는 효과에 대하여 연구하였다. 몇몇 선행연구에 의하면 행위과제 수행방법이 비전략적인 특성을 보인다고 한다. 전략사용에 미숙한 정신지체아의 경우 전략사용을 하지 않고도 기억을 한다면, 그 수행결과는 일반아동과 유사하게 나올 수 있으며 이는 즉 정신지체아의 강점을 활용한 교육이 될 것이므로, 본 연구에서는 정신지체아를 대상으로 하였을 경우에도 행위과제 수행방법의 비전략적 특성이 나타나는지 연구하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 정신연령 8, 10, 12세인 경도정신지체집단, 생활연령 8, 10, 12세인 경도정신지체집단, 동일 연령의 일반아동집단, 총 90명으로, 두 가지 단어목록을 행위과제 수행방법과 구어과제 수행방법으로 기억하게 시킨 후, 자유회상 검사를 이용하여 기억수행 수준을 측정하였다. 결과의 검정에 사용된 통계적 방법은 t-검정과 일원분산분석이었다. 본 연구를 통해 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 행위과제수행을 통한 자유회상은 정신연령 8, 10, 12세인 정신지체 집단에서 연령에 따른 점수의 차이를 보이지 않았다. 2. 행위과제수행을 통한 자유회상은 8, 10, 12세인 일반아동 집단의 경우 8세와 12세 집단에서 차이를 보였으며, 12세집단의 경우 행위과제수행을 통한 자유회상 점수가 더 높게 나왔다. 3. 구어과제수행을 통한 자유회상은 정신연령 8, 10, 12세인 정신지체 집단에서 연령에 따른 점수의 차이를 보이지 않았다. 4. 구어과제수행을 통한 자유회상은 8, 10, 12세인 일반아동 집단의 경우 8세와 12세 집단에서 차이를 보였으며, 12세집단의 경우 구어과제수행을 통한 자유회상 점수가 더 높게 나왔다. 5. 행위과제수행을 통한 자유회상은 생활연령을 일치시킨 정신지체아동 집단과 일반아동 집단을 비교하였을 때에 일반아동 집단에서 더 높게 나왔다. 6. 구어과제수행을 통한 자유회상은 생활연령을 일치시킨 정신지체아동 집단과 일반아동 집단을 비교하였을 때에 일반아동 집단에서 더 높게 나왔다. 7. 모든 정신지체와 일반아동은 행위과제수행을 통한 자유회상이 구어과제수행을 통한 자유회상보다 유의하게 높았다. 이러한 결과를 종합해보면, 경도 정신지체아동에 있어서 행위과제 수행방법은 연령의 차이나 지능의 차이에 따른 자유회상 점수의 차이를 보였으므로 전략적 특성을 갖는 것으로 판명되었다. 또한 행위과제 수행방법은 기존의 구어과제 수행방법보다 기억에 더 효과적이었으며, 이러한 결과를 통해 정신지체아의 기억개선에 행위과제 수행방법이 보다 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.
