J.S.Bach의 무반주 Cello 조곡에 관한 연구

Abstract

Johann Sebastian Bach(1685~1750) Baroque음악을 대표하는 작곡가로서 Opera를 제외하고 수많은 작품을 남기고 있다. 조곡으로는 단악장으로 된 무곡을 포함한 45곡으로, Bach는 이 조곡들을 통하여 Baroque 고전조곡의 문헌에 큰 공헌을 하였다. 본 논문에서는 그의 주요 조곡과 가장 전형적인 Baroque 고전 조곡의 형태를 가진 무반주 Cello조곡을 분석하여, Baroque조곡의 일반적 특성에 관하여 고찰하였다. Bach의 조곡은 악장배열에 있어서 Allemande - Courante - Sa - rabande - Gigue의 기본 4악장에 Prelude와 각각 2개의 menuet, bourre´e, gevotte의 Optional dance를 사용했으며 각 무곡의 구조는 2부분 형식(Binary form)과 일관성있는 조성선율진행에 있어 다양한 기법의 사용, 그리고 짧은 전조의 진행으로 화성적 색채와 선율적 색채를 더해 준다. Bach는 그 당시 Cello를 반주 역할로만 국한시켰던 점에서 불구하고, 무반주 Cello조곡 6곡을 작곡하여 독주용의 Cello로 충분히 연주될 수 있는 훌륭한 Cello조곡을 남겼다. 이와같은 특징을 지닌 이 곡은 모든 면에 있어서 가장 전형적인 고전형태를 가지며, Baroque 고전조곡을 확립하는데 있어서 큰 공헌을 한 작품으로 평가 받을 수 있다.;A distinguished compose of Baroque music, Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) left many beutiful works behind except Opera music. Including single movement dance music he composed forty five suites through which he contributed to the establishment of Baroque classical suite form greatly. This dissertation analyze his major suites and an unaccompanid cello suite in Baroque classical suite form and studied the general characteristics of the Baroque suite. Bach's suites are composed of prelude and optional dance four basic movements allemande-courante-sarabande-gigue in addition of prelude and optional dance, it typical. An unaccompanied cello suite consists of prelude and optional dance which has two menuets, two bourre´es, and two gavottes in addition to the four basic movements mentioned above. Each dance movement is very colorful with various ornaments and dance rhythm and progression of short modulation to displaying harmonious and melodious merits. In spite of the fact the cello was limited to accompany other instruments or church chorus in those days, Bach composed great six cello suites which would be played as solo cello works sufficiently. Owing to these good characteristics, these works made great contribution to establish Baroque classical suite form.
