전래놀이동요가 유아의 사회적 능력 및 음악적성에 미치는 영향

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the play songs of Korean traditional children's song on the young children's social competence and music aptitude; to examine the difference of the effect of play songs between experiment group to be offered the play songs and the control group not to be. To this end, following research hypotheses were set up in this study. 1. What is the effect of play songs on young children's social competence? 1-1 Is there any significant difference in the social competenceⅠ(concern and participation) of young children between experimental, control group and two genders. 1-2 Is there any significant difference in the social competenceⅡ(adaptability to the social rule) of young children between experimental, control group and two genders. 2. What is the effect of play songs on young children's music aptitude? 2-1 Is there any significant difference in the development of tonal aptitude between experimental, control group and two genders. 2-2 Is there any significant difference in the development of rhythm aptitude between experimental, control group and two genders. The subjects in the this study were 42, five-year-old young children from the two classes at the kindergarten in Seoul. They were divided into experimental (21 in the one class) and control groups(21 in the other class). Experimental group were exposed to learn the play songs of Korean traditional children's song and to participate in the play according to the songs over the 12 times, once or twice a week during 7 weeks, and control group to go on the musical activity concentrated on learning songs and playing as usual. Experimental procedure were a preliminary[pilot] experiment, teacher training and treatment, and test procedure were a preliminary[pilot] test, pre-test and post-test. Play songs selected for test were 12 songs in the folk play songs which were new for subjects. Han Sung-He's Korean version(l986) of Social Competence Scale(1972) by Kohn was used for measuring the young children's social competence in pre- and post-test. Godon's PMMA(Primary Measures of Music Audiation), an instrument for musical aptitude test, was corrected and used for measuring the young children's musical aptitude. To examine the effect on between experimental, control group and two genders., data were analyzed using a two-way analysis of variance. The Result of the study was as following; 1. There was the difference in the development of the social competenceⅠ(concern and participation) between experimental and control groups; Play songs had a positive effect on the young children's concern and participation. There was no effect on the young children's concern and participation according to the difference by sex and the effect by sex and group interaction. 2. There was no significant difference in the development of social competenceⅡ(adaptability to the social rule) between experimental group and control group. There was no significant difference in the adaptability to the social rule according to the difference by sex and the effect by the sex and group interaction. 3. There was the difference in the development of tonal aptitude between experimental group and control group; Play songs had a positive effect on the development of tonal aptitude. There was difference in the development of tonal aptitude according to sex, and girl's scores were higher than boy's. But there was no effect by sex and group interaction. 4. There was the difference in the development of rhythm aptitude between experimental group and control group; Play songs had a positive effect on the development of rhythm aptitude. There was the difference according to sex in the development of rhythm aptitude, and girl's scores were higher than boy's. But there was no effect by sex and group interaction.;본 연구의 목적은 전래놀이동요가 유아의 사회적 능력(social competence) 및 음악적성(music aptitude) 발달에 미치는 영향을 밝히는 것이다. 즉, 전래 놀이동요가 제시된 실험집단과 전래놀이동요가 제시되지 않은 통제집단간 유아들의 사회적 능력 행동 및 음악적성 발달에 차이가 있는지 알아봄으로써 전래놀이동요의 효과를 밝히는데 있다. 이와 같은 목적을 위해서 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정 하였다. 1. 전래놀이동요가 유아의 사회적 능력에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 1-1. 전래놀이동요가 유아의 관심 및 참여도에 미치는 영향에 있어서 두 집단간 및 성별에 따른 차이가 있는가? 1-2. 전래놀이동요가 유아의 사회적 규범에 대한 순응성에 미치는 영향에 있어서 두 집단간 및 성별에 따른 차이가 있는가? 2. 전래놀이동요가 유아의 음악적성 발달에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 2-1. 전래놀이동요가 유아의 리듬감 발달에 미치는 영향에 있어서 두 집단간 및 성별에 따른 차이가 있는가? 2-2. 전래놀이동요가 유아의 음감 발달에 미치는 영향에 있어서 두 집단간 및 성별에 따른 차이가 있는가? 본 연구의 대상은 서울특별시에 소재한 C유치원 만5세 두 학급 유아 42명으로 한 학급의 유아 21명은 실험집단으로 다른 학급의 유아 21명은 통제집단으로 설정하였다. 두 집단 중 실험집단에는 주 I~2회씩 7주 동안 12회에 걸쳐 전래놀이동요를 가르치고, 노래에 따른 놀이에 참여하게 하였다. 통제집단은 유치원에서 일반적으로 해오던 노래 배우기 위주의 음악 활동과 놀이활동을 진행하였다. 실험절차는 예비실험. 교사훈련. 실험처치의 순으로 진행되었고 검사절차는 예비검사, 사전검사, 사후검사의 순으로 진행되었다. 실험처치용으로 사용된 전래놀이동요는 연구대상 유아들이 사전에 경험하지 않은 것으로 전래놀이동요 중에서 12곡이 선정되어 사용되었다. 사전, 사후 검사에서 유아들의 사회적 능력을 측정하기 위한 도구로는 Kohn(1972)의 사회적 능력 평정지(social competence scale)를 한성희(1986)가 번역·수정한 것을 사용하였다. 음악적성을 측정하기 위해서는 Cordon(1986)이 만든 음악적성 검사도구 PMMA(Primal·y Measures of Music Audiation)를 수정하여 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 유아들의 집단과 성별에 따른 효과를 알아보기 위해 이원변량 분석(two-way analysis of variance)을 적용하여 분석되었다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전래놀이동요가 제시된 실험집단과 제시되지 않은 통제집단간 유아들의 관심 및 참여도 발달에는 차이가 있었다. 즉, 놀이 노래는 유아의 관심 및 참여도에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 관심 및 참여도에 있어서 성별에 따른 차이와 성별과 집단간 상호작용에 의한 효과는 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 전래놀이동요가 제시된 실험집단과 제시되지 않은 통제집단간 유아들의 사회적 규범에 의한 순응성 발달에는 차이가 없었다. 또한 사회적 규범에 의한 순응성에 있어서 성별에 따른 차이와 성별과 집단간 상호작용에 의한 효과도 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 전래놀이동요가 제시된 실험집단과 제시되지 않은 통제집단간 유아들의 음감 발달에는 차이가 있었다. 즉, 놀이 노래는 유아의 음감 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 또한, 음감 발달에 있어서 성별에 따른 차이가 있었는데 남아보다는 여아들의 점수가 더 높게 산출되었다. 그러나 성별과 집단간 상호작용에 의한 효과는 나타나지 않았다. 네째, 전래놀이동요가 제시된 실험집단과 제시되지 않은 통제집단간 유아들의 리듬감 발달에는 차이가 있었다. 즉, 전래놀이동요는 유아의 리듬감 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 또한, 리듬감 발달에 있어서 성별에 따른 차이가 있었는데 남아보다는 여아들의 점수가 더 높게 산출되었다 그러나 성별과 집단간 상호작용에 의한 효과는 나타나지 않았다.
