中學校 音樂 敎科書 鑑賞領域 分析 硏究

Abstract

This study aims to survey the newly published where middle school music textbooks, to see how they are arranged to encourage music appreciation. In Korea, music education has been criticized. It is said we attach too much importance to singing. But nobody has disagreed as to the importance of education of music appreciation. And yet, education of music appreciation was not performed in the classes, and the writer tried to determine the reasons for it in the textbooks. The main points of this study are as follows: 1. To determine measures to change people's concept of music appreciation education. 2. To study attitudes of textbooks' authors through analysis of musical pieces for appreciation in the middle School textbooks. 3. To look for problems to be solved in the future. The theoretical basis for music appreciation education which the writer has achieved through surveying the relevant literature, was that thus far the meanings of listening and appreciation have been confused. This should be corrected. In other words, the meaning of music appreciation in a wide sense, includes listening as a value of means, and appreciation as a value of object. Meanwhile, the meaning of appreciation in a narrow sense, is currently being performed at the high school level education. That is listening is the fundamental factor for music education, and through the listening to music, the students learn various factors and concepts of music. This act of listening and appreciation should be conducted also at middle school level. With this in mind, current music textbooks for middle school were analyzed. In our country, still the appreciation was recognized in a narrow meaning, and the musical pieces for appreciation were selected with this, goal in mind. The pieces for musical appreciation varied by authors of books. In this regard, basic criteria should be prepared in selecting musical pieces for appreciation, and at the same time, considerations should be given to correlate singing, playing instruments, with composition and musical theory.;본 연구는 새로 발행된 중학교의 음악교과서가 음악감상 교육을 어떻게 돕고 있는가를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 우리나라 음악교육이 가창에만 편중되어 왔다는 비판을 받아 왔다. 그리고 감상교육이 중요하다는 데에는 아무도 반대하지 않는다. 그러면서도 감상교육이 교실에서 이루어지지 못하는 이유의 일부를 교과서를 통해서 찾고자 하였다. 그래서 본 연구의 과제는 종전에 생각했던 음악감상 교육에 대한 생각을 어떻게 바꾸어야겠는가를 알아보고 중학교 교과서에 담겨있는 감상곡의 분석을 통하여 교과서 저자들의 태도를 타진한 다음 앞으로 해결해야 할 문제점을 찾고자 하였다. 문헌연구를 통하여 얻어진 음악감상 교육에 대한 이론적 근거는 종래까지 듣기와 감상의 뜻이 혼동되었던 것을 바로 잡고 넓은 의미의 감상은 수단적 가치로서의 듣기와 목적적 가치로서의 감상을 포함하는 것이며 좁은 의미의 감상은 고등학교 수준에 합당하다는 정의를 내렸다. 다시 말하여 듣기는 음악교육의 기초가 되며 어려서부터 듣기를 통하여 음악의 제요소내지는 개념들을 배우게 되는 까닭에 중학교에서는 듣기와 감상이 병행되어야 한다. 즉 수단적이고 목적적인 가치로서 이용되어야 한다. 이러한 이론을 바탕으로 하여 중학교 음악교과서에는 감상이 어떻게 반영되고 있는가를 분석하여 본 결과 우리나라에서는 아직도 좁은 의미의 감상밖에는 인식하지 못하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 교과서 저자들의 각기 다른 사고와 의견의 불일치로 감상곡을 선정하고 악곡을 제시하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 이유로 각 저자의 교과서마다 악곡의 선정에 있어서 크게 차이가 난다는 것을 발견했다. 이러한 견지에서 감상곡의 선정은 음악적인 제요소와 개념들을 관련지어 감상뿐 아니라 가창·기악·창작·음악이론·음악사 및 민족음악까지 포함하며 연결하여 학습할 수 있는 곡을 선정하기 위한 기준이 세워져야 한다.
