현행 고등학교 전교과목에서 다루는 생물명에 관한 연구

Abstract

현행 고등학교 교육과정중 생물교육이 체계적이고 구조적으로 이루어지고 있는가를 알아보기 위하여 생물과목을 중심으로 현행 고등학교 전과목의 교과서에 나오는 동물, 식물 및 원생생물의 출현 종수와 빈도수를 조사한 결과는 아래와 같다. 1. 총 28과목 전교과서에 나도는 생물의 종수와 빈도수는 동물이 509종 3154회, 식물이 410종 2987회, 원생생물이 79종 339회로서 총 998종 6480회 였다. 2. 과목별 생물의 출현 종수와 빈도수를 비교해 본 결과 출현 종수는 생물(315), 수산업(296), 농업(292), 기술(183), 가사(98)순으로, 출현 빈도수는 수산업(1270), 생물(1154), 농업(903), 세계지리(393), 가사(372)순으로 많이 나타났다. 3. 각 교과서에 나오는 생물을 분류해 본 결과 동물이 11문 37강, 99목, 280과이고 식물은 2문, 10강, 71목, 262과이며 원생생물은 9문, 21강, 28목, 62과로서 총 22문, 68강, 198목, 604과 였다. 4. 과목 및 계열별 선호 생물을 조사해 본 결과 어문계열의 과목은 동물을, 사회계열, 실업계열의 과목은 식물을 많이 인용한데 반해 생물과목을 포함한 과학계열과 예체능계열의 과목은 비교적 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 5. 생물 교과서에 수록된 생물이 총 315종 인데 반해 생물 교과서에는 없고 타교과서에만 수록된 생물이 총 507종으로 나타나 다양한 생물교육을 위하여 생물과목에서 다루어질 생물의 종수가 보다 확대되어야 하겠다.;In order to obstain data for developing an ideal high school biology curriculum in Korea, the number af species and their frequency of living organisms appearing in the Korean high school textbooks were surveyed. As a result, the following were obtained : 1. An investigation of number of species and their frequency of appearance reveals total of 998 species and 6480 times, consist of animal ( 509 species, 3154 times ), plant( 410 species, 2987 times), and protist ( 79 species, 339 times ). 2. Among twenty-eight different textbooks, number of species are, from high to low, in order of biology(315), fisheries(296), agriculture(292), engineering(183), and domestic science(98). Frequency of appearance is in order of fisheries(1270) bilogy(1154), agriculture(903), world geography(393), and domestic science(372). 3. Total of 280 families, 99 orders, 37 classses and 11. phyla of animal, 262 families, 71 orders, 10 classes, 2 phyla of plant and 61 families, 28 orders, 21 classes, 9 phyla of protist appear in the Korea-n high school textbooks. 4. While the textbooks of literary subject favour animal species and those of sociological and industrial subject favour plant species, the scientific textbooks, including biology textbook, have no favorite species. 5. Comparing the biology textbook to others, it describes only 315 species, so the new editions of the high school biology textbooks exhibit the much progress for the establishment of the ideal high school biology curriculum.
