고등학교 신구 국민윤리교과서의 비교분석

Abstract

교육은 참된 인간을 만드는데 목적이 있으며 인간을 조화있게 성숙시키려는 노력은 동서고금을 통하여 보편적인 현상일 것이다. 그러나, 시대의 변화와 사회의 발전에 따라 교육의 현상 역시 그 양상이 달라지게 되었다. 현대 산업화과정에서 발생한 사회의 급격한 변모와 생활양식의 변화는 가치기준을 흐리게 만들었고 심각한 인간소외현상을 초래하여 청소년들에게 건전한 도덕성, 올바른 가치교육으로서의 국민윤리교육의 중요성이 가중되고 있다. 이러한 국민윤리교육을 위하여 정부는 수차에 걸쳐 국민윤리 교과서를 개정함에 따라 이에 본 연구는 현재 채택된 고등학교 국민윤리 교과서와 이전의 고등학교 국민윤리 교과서를 비교, 분석하여봄으로써 현재의 국민윤리 교육이 그 역할을 다 하고 있는지를 파악하고자 하였다. 신구교과서의 비교분석을 통해 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 구교과서의 반공교육의 영역이 많이 축소되고 신교과서에는 탈이데올로기의 사회상이 반영되어 동반자적인 북한과의 관계를 강조하고 있다. 둘째 신교과서의 내용이 훨씬 구체적이고 논리적으로 구성되었다. 특히 인본교육을 강화하였고 민족교육과 동일교육도 강화되었다. 세째 구교과서와 신교과서 모두 윤리사상에 관한 단원을 다루지만 그 내용은 매우 빈약하며 단순히 사상가들의 이름만이 나열되어 학생들에게 사상가들의 이름만 익히도록 구성되어 특별한 도움이 되지 못하고 있다. 네째 구교과서와 신교과서의 등장인물에 있어서는 지나치게 사상가 위주, 남성위주의 경향이 나타나고 있다. 다섯째 구교과서와 신교과서의 화면의 수는 비슷하나 신교과서의 경우 인물화면이 더욱 많다. 인물의 화면의 수가 증가된 것에 비해 그 내용은 별로 충실하지 못했다. 그리고 지나치게 오래된 화면이나 희미한 화면은 삭제되어야 할 것이 요구된다. 결론적으로 구교과서의 내용보다는 신교과서의 내용이 국민윤리 교육의 필요성에 더욱 잘 부합된다고 풀이된다. 특히 공동체적 시민교육과 통일교육, 인본교육의 측면에서 내용적으로 많은 발전이 있었다. 그러나 내용적인 증가와 발전이 반드시 실천적 행동의 측면으로 나타나는 것은 아니다. 국민윤리 교육은 그 성격 자체가 실천적 성격이 충분하므로서 그 의의가 있으므로 내용이 실천으로 이어질 수 있는 교육 방법의 개선이 내용의 개선과 더불어 시급히 이루어져야 할 것이다.;A Comparative Analysis of the New and Old Textbooks of the National -Ethics Course in the High School Level in Korea The purpose of the education is to make a truthful human being and this kind of effort was normally carried out for ages and countries. But according to the changes of the times and the development of society, the phenomenon of the edcation has different phases. The sudden changes of society and the style of living comes from industrialization created the confusion of moral consciousness and the severe human alienation. So the importance of the national ethic education is increased. For to meet this request, the government changed the text of the national ethic so many times. So the purpose of this thesis is to compare and analyze the difference of the text book between the present and old one. The result is as follows; First, the importance of the anti-communism education is decreased and due to the phenomenon of the free from ideology, the relationship with North-Korea was emphasized at the present text book. Second, the contents of the Present text book was more concrete and logical than the old one. Especially, humanism, nationalism and reunify is emphasized. Third, there is chapter for ethism at the old and the present text book, but the contents is so poor as only names were appeared. So there is no help for students except memorize names of philosophers. Fourth, most people who are appeared at the old and the present text book are restricted to philosophers and men. Fifth, the number of a picture report are mostly same at the old and the present text book. In case of the present text book, the number of human picture report are superior to the others. But to compare with the increses of the number of the human picture report, there is no so much increases in contents. Further more, the picture report which was made long time ago and not so clear are should be deleted. As a result, the contents of the present text book is more coincided with the necessity of the national ethic education than the old one. Especially, regarding the education of democratic citizen, reunity, and humanism, there is a big development in contents. But the increses and the development of contents is not always proved as the increases of practice. The real meaning and the purpose of the national ethic education is the practice. So the improvement of the education method together with the development of the contents is urgently needed.
