공립유치원 부장교사의 역할기대와 역할수행에 관한 교사의 인식

Abstract

본 연구의 공립유치원 부장교사에 대한 역할기대와 역할수행에 관하여 일반교사와 부장교사들의 인식을 알아보고 그 차이를 분석해 보고자 하였다. 이에 따른 구체적인 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 1. 공립유치원 부장교사에 대한 역할 기대는 어떠하며, 이는 교사의 직급에 따라 차이가 있는가? 2. 공립유치원 부장교사의 실제 역할수행에 대한 인식은 어떠하며, 이는 교사의 직급에 따라 차이가 있는가? 3. 공립유치원 부장교사의 역할기대와 역할수행에 대한 인식의 차이가 있는가? 3-1. 공립유치원 부장교사의 역할기대와 역할수행에 대한 일반교사의 인식은 차이가 있는가? 3-2. 공립유치원 부장교사의 역할기대와 역할수행에 대한 부장교사의 인식은 차이가 있는가? 본 연구는 서울, 경기 지역에 소재하고 있는 공립유치원 중에서 부장교사 임명을 받은 3학급 이상의 부장교사 66명과 해당유치원의 일반교사 64명을 이었다. 본 연구에서는 공립유치원 부장교사의 역할기대와 역할수행에 대한 교사들의 인식을 알아보기 위하여 부장교사용, 일반교사용 설문지를 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 연구도구는 이갑녀(2006)와 허영대(2001)가 초등학교 부장교사의 역할수행과 역할기대에 관한 연구에서 사용한 질문지를 유치원의 실정에 맞도록 본 연구자가 수정한 것이다. 수정된 연구도구는 총 25문항으로 5개의 역할영역(보좌의 역할, 지도조언의 역할, 연락조정의 역할, 인화조성의 역할, 사무 관리의 역할)으로 구성되었으며, 역할기대와 수행정도가 5점 척도로 되어 있다. 수집된 자료는 빈도분석, t-test를 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공립유치원 부장교사에 대한 역할기대에 관한 교사의 인식을 알아본 결과 5개 역할영역에 대한 기대가 모두 높은 편이었다. 부장교사의 역할 중에서도 가장 기대가 높은 역할은 보좌의 역할이었으며, 다음이 연락조정의 역할, 인화조성의 역할, 사무 관리의 역할, 지도조언의 역할 순으로 나타났다. 직급에 따라 부장교사의 역할에 대한 기대수준을 살펴본 결과, 일반교사보다 부장교사의 기대가 모든 역할 영역에서 조금 높은 것으로 나타났으나, 통계적으로 유의미한 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 공립유치원 부장교사에 대한 역할수행에 관한 교사의 인식을 알아본 결과 5개 역할영역에 대한 역할수행인식이 모두 높은 편이었다. 부장교사의 역할 중에서도 보좌의 역할을 가장 잘 수행하고 있는 것으로 나타났고, 다음으로 연락조정의 역할, 인화조성의 역할, 사무 관리의 역할 순이었으며, 지도조언 역할의 수행수준이 가장 낮게 나타났다. 직급에 따라서 부장교사의 역할수행에 대한 일반교사들의 인식에 있어서는, 공립유치원 부장교사들이 보좌의 역할을 가장 잘 수행하고 있다고 인식하고 있었고, 다음으로 인화조성의 역할, 연락조정의 역할, 사무 관리의 역할, 지도조언의 역할 순으로 나타났다. 부장교사의 역할 수행에 대한 부장교사 자신의 인식은 보좌의 역할을 가장 잘 수행하고 있다고 인식하고 있었으며, 다음은 연락조정의 역할, 사무 관리의 역할, 인화조성의 역할, 지도조언의 역할 순으로 나타났다. 공립유치원 부장교사의 역할 수행에 대한 인식은 일반교사가 3.88이고 부장교사가 3.68로 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그 중 특히 지도조언의 역할과 인화조성의 역할에서 두드러진 차이를 보였는데, 두 역할 모두 일반교사들이 부장교사들 보다 좀 더 많이 수행한다고 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 전체 연구대상의 공립유치원 부장교사의 역할기대와 역할 수행에 대한 인식에는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 즉, 기대수준이 수행수준보다 모두 높았다. 각 역할 중에서도 연락조정의 역할이 가장 큰 차이를 보였고, 다음으로 사무 관리의 역할, 보좌의 역할, 지도조언의 역할, 인화조성의 역할 순이었다. 공립유치원 부장교사의 역할기대와 전체역할 수행에 대한 일반교사의 인식에는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나고 있다. 즉, 기대수준이 수행수준보다 높았다. 각 역할 중에서도 연락조정의 역할이 가장 큰 차이를 보였고, 다음으로 사무 관리의 역할, 보좌의 역할, 지도조언의 역할 순이었다. 반면 인화조성의 역할에 있어서는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 즉, 인화조성의 역할은 기대수준과 수행수준에 차이가 없었다. 공립유치원 부장교사의 전체역할기대와 전체역할 수행에 대한 부장교사의 인식에는 전체적으로 통계적 유의미한 차이가 나타나고 있다. 즉, 기대수준이 수행수준보다 높았다. 각 역할 중에서도 사무 관리의 역할이 가장 큰 차이를 보였고, 다음으로 인화조성의 역할, 연락조정의 역할, 보좌의 역할, 지도조언의 역할 순이었다.;The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences between the opinions of the general teachers and department management teachers on the expected and performed roles toward the expected and performed roles of department management teachers at public kindergartens. Accordingly, the specific issues of this study are as follows : 1. What are the roles of department management teachers at public kindergartens? and are there any differences according to the status of title such as teachers and department management teachers? 2. What are the perceptions toward the actually conducted roles of department management teachers at public kindergartens? Are there any differences according to the status of title such as teachers and department management teachers? 3. Are there any differences between the expected and performed roles played by the department management teachers at public kindergartens? 3-1. Are there any differences between the general teachers' perceptions toward the expected and performed roles played by the department management teachers at public kindergartens? 3-2. Are there any differences between the department management teachers' own perceptions toward the expected and performed roles played by the department management teachers at public kindergartens? This study was conducted toward 66 appointed department management teachers in charge of more than 3 classes and 64 general teachers working at the public kindergartens located Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The survey questionnaires were given for the department management teachers and teachers at public kindergartens. For this purpose, the modifications were made by the researcher of this study to the current circumstances at the kindergartens, on the questionnaires previously used by Lee, Gap-neo(2006) and Heoh Young-dae(2001) as the research tools. The modified research tool was composed of 5 section of roles(roles of assistance; advising; job coordination and communications; unity of members; and office management). in 25 questions in total, in which the degree of expected and performed roles is measured in five-point scale. The collected data was analyzed by using the frequency and t-test. The results of this study are as follows: First, the perceptions toward the expected roles played by department management teachers at public kindergartens have showed the high measurements in all 5 section of roles. The highest expected one was the role of assistance, and next in order followed by roles of job coordination and communications; forming the unity of members; office management and then advising. According to the status of title, the degree of expected roles showed the higher level in all section of role, in the department management teachers rather in the teachers at public kindergartens. Second, the perceptions toward the performance of roles played by department management teachers at public kindergartens have showed the high measurements in all 5 section of roles. The respondents gave the highest measurement to the assistance out of roles performed by the department management teachers at public kindergartens, which is followed by in order roles of job coordination and communications; forming of unity of members; office management; and then advising at the lowest level. According to the status of title, the general teachers thought that the department management teachers performed the greatest in the section of assistance role, and showed the high perception in the sections in order such as roles of forming unity of members; job coordination and communications, office management and then advising. In the department management teachers' own perception, they thought that they performed the greatest in conduction role of assistance, followed in order by roles of job coordination and communications; office management; forming the unity of members; advising. The general teachers showed the higher perception that roles of department management teachers were performed well, than the department management teachers. In this question, there showed the distinguished differences especially both in roles of advising and forming the unity of members, in which the respondents perceived that the general teachers did more than the department management teachers at public kindergartens. Third, the results showed the different perceptions of the general teachers toward the expected and entirely performed roles of the department management teachers at public kindergartens. In other words, their expected level was higher than the performed level. The biggest differences were shown especially in the role of job coordination and communications, and then followed by in order roles of office management; assistance; and advising. There were no differences between the expected and performed levels in the role of forming the unity of members. In addition, entirely there were differences in the perceptions of the department management teachers toward their entirely expected and entirely performed roles as the department management teachers at public kindergartens. In other words, their expected level was higher than the performed level. The biggest differences were shown especially in the role of office management, and then followed by in order roles of job coordination and communications; forming the unity of members; job coordination and communications; assistance; and advising.
