유치원과 어린이집의 종일제 프로그램운영에 관한 부모의 인식 및 요구 조사

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the needs of the mothers on the program of full-day kindergarten and the child care center, and aimed to improve the quality of full-day kindergarten understanding the needs and satisfactions of the mothers in the types of preschool educational institution. According to the purpose of this study, the research questions were as follow. 1. What are the needs of mothers for a full-day kindergarten or the child care center? 2. How is the satisfactions of mothers whose children are attending to a full-day kindergarten or the child care? For the subject of this study, 302 mothers in Seoul, those who have children attending a full-day kindergarten. To investigate the needs and satisfactions about the management of the full-day kindergarten and the child care center, the data were collected using the questionnaire designed by a researcher. The contents of the questionnaire consist of 12 questions. And the data were analyzed by frequencies, percentage for the present condition of the full-day kindergarten program and the needs of mothers and t verification for the satisfaction of the full-day kindergarten program using SAS program. The finding of this study can be summarized as follow, First, the managements of the program of full-day kindergarten and the private child care center are as follow. The way of attending and leaving school is by bus for the private kindergarten but no buses are served in case of child care center. The program for both organization is education activities in the morning and free play activities including protection in the afternoon. Second, The way of attending and leaving school which mothers want is by bus. The most important thing which mothers want is sociable ability which their child makes friends and get along with well others. Third, the satisfactions of mothers whose children are attending to a full-day kindergarten and a child care center are as follow. Over 60% of responsors answered that the tuition is reasonable and 25% of them answered it's expensive. Their preference for the full-day program, they prefer the public kindergarten to the private one or the child care.;본 연구의 목적은 종일제 유치원과 민간어린이집 부모를 대상으로 하여 유아 교육기관의 종일제 프로그램에 따른 부모들의 인식과 요구를 알아보는데 있다. 이러한 부모들의 인식과 요구를 분석함으로써, 종일계 프로그램의 질적인 향상을 위한 기초자료가 되고자 한다. 이와 같은 연구 목적에 따라 구체적인 연구 문제를 다음과 같이 설정하였다. 1. 유치원과 어린이집의 종일제 프로그램 운영에 관한 부모의 인식 및 요구는 어떠한가? 2. 유치원과 어린이집의 종일제 프로그램 운영에 대한 부모의 만족도는 어떠한가? 본 연구의 대상은 서울시에 소재하고 있는 종일제 유아교육기관에 보내고 있는 학부모 302명이다. 유치원과 어린이집 종일제 프로그램 운영에 관한 부모의 요구 및 만족도를 알아보기 위해 설문지를 사용하였으며, 설문지의 구성은 총 12문항으로 되어 있다. 자료 분석 방법은 현재 자녀가 다니는 유아교육기관별로 부모의 인식 및 요구에 대해서는 빈도수와 백분율로 살펴보고, 종일제 프로그램 운영에 관한 부모의 만족도에 대해서는 평균과 표준편차를 산출하고 유아 교육기관별로 t-검정을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 종일반을 결정할 때 고려한 중요한 요인 조사에서는 유아교육기관에 상관없이 교육프로그램이 바람직해서, 원장과 교사의 자질이 우수하여서, 통학거리가 짧아서의 순으로 나타났다. 오후에 실시하는 특기활동의 내용 중 부모가 선택한 특기활동의 내용은 미술, 영어, 체육, 음악, 속셈, 레고, 과학의 순이었다. 둘째, 등·하원 방법은 사립유치원이나 어린이집 모두 등·하원 모두 유치원 버스 이용이 가장 높았고, 종일제 프로그램에서 다뤄져야할 중요한 것으로 유아교육기관에 상관없이 두 기관 모두 남과 잘 사귀고 더불어 사는 능력을 가장 중요시하는 것으로 나타났다. 부모가 원하는 종일반 월 교육비 지불방법은 국가와 개인이 반씩 지불을 가장 많이 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 현재 자녀가 다니는 종일제 유치원과 어린이집의 종일제 프로그램 운영에 관한 부모의 만족도는 종일반의 월 총교육비에 대하여 60%이상이 적절하다고 응답하였으며 25%정도가 비싸다고 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 종일반으로서 선호하는 기관을 살펴보면 사립유치원이나 어린이집보다는 공립유치원 종일반을 제일 선호하는 것으로 나타났다.
