중학교 음악 교과서에 나타난 외국 민요에 관한 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze elements of foreign folk song related contents out of world music presented in middle school music textbooks currently used according to the 7th Curriculum, The research content consists of concept of folk music and folk song, a study on folk music and folk song elements in Korean music curricula, and an analysis of middle school music textbooks. For the analysis of music textbooks, this study addressed distribution by region and by area with foreign folk songs out of foreign music pieces included in music textbooks, while, for the analysis of study objective and activity contents, its research is limited to the units with the title devoted to foreign folk songs. In terms of regional distribution, it is revealed that European folk songs account for the highest rate, and that the textbooks published by Taesung and Sekwang have foreign folksongs from the most various regions with folk songs from 5 continents, while those published by Kyohak has the most limited distribution with foreign folk songs from only 2 continents. In terms of music area, singing area presents the largest number of foreign folk songs. The textbook by Ahchinnara has foreign folk songs in the most various music areas as it contained them in 4 areas except in the area of understanding. On the other hand, textbooks by Kyohak, Taesung and Sungahndang have the most limited distribution with foreign folk songs only in 2 areas. The result of analyzing study objectives and activity contents shows that the textbooks by Sungahndang and Sekwang have the most number of unit titles with foreign folk songs, while that by Doosan has the least number. In addition, out of the units with titles of foreign folk songs, the textbook by Chonjae Education has the largest number of units that include contents related with multicultures in their study objectives and activity contents. Yet, Sungahndang's textbook has the lowest rate of the units including multicultural contents, though it has the most number of units with titles of foreign folk songs. It can be said that the most desirable type of units is presenting the study about components of music in connection with multicultural points of view, but the reality is that the existing music textbooks lack the type of units, leaving room for improvement.;이 연구는 현재 사용되고 있는 제 7차 교육과정에 의한 중학교 음악 교과서에 제시된 세계 음악 중 외국 민요 관련 내용에 대해서 조사하고 분석하는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구의 내용은 민속 음악과 민요, 한국의 음악과 교육 과정에 나타난 민속 음악 및 민요 관련 내용에 대한 연구와 중학교 음악 교과서 분석으로 구성되었다. 교과서 분석은 음악 교과서에 포함된 세계 음악 중 외국 민요만을 대상으로 하여 지역별, 영역별 분포를 조사하고, 학습 목표 및 활동 내용에 대한 분석에 있어서는 외국 민요를 제재곡으로 제시한 단원만을 대상으로 하였다. 연구 결과, 지역별 분포에 있어서는 유럽의 민요가 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였다. 가장 다양한 지역의 외국 민요를 포함하고 있는 것은 도서출판 태성과 세광음악출판사의 교과서로서 5개 대륙의 민요를 모두 포함하였고, 반면 교학 출판사의 교과서는 2개 대륙의 민요만을 포함하여 가장 편중된 분포를 나타냈다. 영역별 분포에 있어서는 가창 영역에서 외국 민요를 가장 많이 제시하였다. 가장 다양한 영역에서 외국 민요를 포함하고 있는 것은 (주) 아침나라 교과서로서 이해 영역을 제외한 4개 영역에서 외국 민요를 포함하고 있었다. 반면 교학 연구사와 도서출판 태성, 성안당의 교과서는 2개 영역에서만 외국 민요를 포함하여 가장 다양하지 못한 분포를 보였다. 학습 목표 및 활동 내용의 분석의 결과, 외국 민요가 제재곡으로 제시된 단원의 수가 가장 많았던 것은 성안당과 세광음악출판사의 교과서였고, 반면 (주) 두산의 교과서는 가장 적은 수를 나타냈다. 또한, 외국 민요를 제재곡으로 제시한 단원 중 학습 목표와 활동의 내용에서 민속 음악이나 민요와 관련된 내용을 포함한 단원의 비율이 가장 높았던 것은 (주) 천재교육의 교과서였고, 반면에 성안당 교과서는 외국 민요를 제재곡으로 포함한 단원의 수는 가장 많았음에도 불구하고 민속 음악 및 민요 관련 내용을 포함한 단원의 비율은 가장 낮게 나타났다. 음악의 구성 요소에 대한 학습을 민속 음악 혹은 민요의 특징과 연관시켜 제시하는 유형은 가장 바람직하다고 볼 수 있으나 실제로 교과서에서는 이러한 유형의 단원이 많이 부족하므로, 앞으로 더 강화되어야 할 것이다.
