서울소재 대학 부속 유치원에서 사용되는 감상곡목의 유형 분류

Abstract

이 연구의 목적은 유아들이 음악의 다양한 요소를 경험하고 음악의 본질적인 아름다움을 경험할 수 있도록, 현장의 교사들에게 다양한 감상곡을 선정, 활용할 수 있는 자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이론적 배경은 문헌 연구를 통해 유아기 감상 교육의 중요성과 유아의 감상 지도, 유아기에 적합한 감상곡목의 선정기준을 조사하였다. 문헌과의 관련성을 살펴보기 위해서 유아음악 교육 관련 서적 10권을 분석하여 유아음악 교육 전문가들이 추천하는 감상곡의 목록과 추천 빈도를 파악하였고, 추천빈도가 높은 곡목의 장르별･시대별･문화별･작곡가별 분포를 알아보았다. 설문조사를 통하여 서울 소재 부속 유치원에서 실제로 시행하는 감상 수업의 현황과 수업시간에 사용하는 감상곡의 목록 및 교사들의 추천 빈도가 높은 곡목들의 장르별 분포를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 유아음악 관련 서적 10권에서는 총 141곡을 유아 감상곡으로 제시하고 있었다. 그 중 클래식의 비중이 가장 높았으며, 클래식 음악 중에는 낭만시대 작품이 가장 많았다. 과반수 이상의 책에서 제시하고 있는 주요곡은 총 14곡으로 전부 클래식이었으며, 가장 많은 서적에 수록되어 있는 작품은 생상의 ‘동물의 사육제’로 7권에 제시되어 있었다. 유치원에 대한 설문조사 결과, 하루 중 음악 수업 시간은 대체로 10-20분인 것으로 나타났다. 주로 가창수업 위주로 시행하고 있었으며, 감상 수업의 비율은 30%미만이었다. 감상수업을 위한 곡목은 유아의 흥미와 친숙도를 고려하여 선정되었다. 교사들은 클래식 음악의 감상을 위해 주로 고전시대의 곡을 선택하였으며, 가장 많이 사용하는 곡목은 바로크 시대의 곡인 비발디의 ‘사계’였다. 서적과 비교하여 국악곡과 New Age 음악의 사용이 많은 것이 차이점이었다. 전반적으로 음악 시간 중 감상 수업의 비중이 낮아서 다양한 장르의 음악을 접하는데 제약이 따랐고, 현장에서 많이 다루어지고 있는 국악과 New Age 음악에 대한 연구가 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 현장에서 실제로 사용하고 있는 유아음악 감상 곡목에 대한 체계적인 검증이 필요하며, 이를 바탕으로 다양한 장르의 감상 곡목들을 수록한 자료를 개발하는 것이 필요하다.;The initial stage of this research is conducted to realize the different types of music for appreciation and the frequent usages of these music for appreciation in the early-child development educational institutions. The purpose of this research is to find out the relationship between the list of music for appreciation provided in the literatures and the list used in actual institutions, and to further investigate the validity of any discrepancies that may exist. At first, the standards used in discerning the musical literatures appropriate for children in early child development educational institutions were studied through researching the various literatures readily available. To successfully achieve the goal, a list of music for appreciation recommended by the educational experts, and the frequent use of these recommended music for appreciation were made through 10 separate volumes. The list of music for appreciation recommended the most were grouped according to their genre. culture, and composer in chronological order. Furthermore, a survey was conducted in selected pre-schools located in Seoul regarding the current status of the actual music appreciation class and the list and genre of the music for appreciation used in the classrooms. The result of the research is as follows; In the case of references in book form, 141 songs from the 10 volumes were indicated as pieces for appreciation. Of the 141 pieces, classical pieces composed by the Romantic composers took precedence over all other genres. These 14 pieces were listed in more than half of the volumes, and Saent-Sains' "Carnival of Animals" was the most frequently appearing piece. According to the result of the survey, 10-20 minutes of music class per day ranked the highest. The content of the music class consisted mostly of sight-singing and the appreciation part of the class was actually less than 30%. Pieces used during class were selected according to the children's interest and familiarity. Teachers who preferred to use classical pieces for their class selected pieces from the Classical Period. Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" ranked the highest. In comparison with the volumes, Korean traditional music and New Age music were also frequently used. In general, the lack of time spent in appreciation during music class was the leading factor in limiting the children from exposing themselves to various genres. Furthermore, studies in Korean traditional music and New Age seemed scarce. Therefore, compilations and references containing various genres of music for the children and the teachers must be improved and enhanced.
