ICT 활용 수업에 대한 중학교 음악교사의 인식 조사

Abstract

The study has a purpose of creating a basis where the ICT can be applied to music classes effectively and diversely by examining the music teachers' practice of ICT classes, understandings of ICT classes and recognition of the environment. The study examined ICT training programs, environment of ICT classes, application of learning-teaching processes of ICT and teachers' recognition on ICT application in music classes. For the examination, the study surveyed 40 music teachers from 22 middle schools located in Seoul and the following conclusions could be obtained. First, the satisfaction at the training program of information and the training opportunities appeared to be average. Teachers who are old and have more training experience show a higher level of satisfaction at the training program and recognize that there are sufficient training opportunities. Second, the teachers' thought on their ICT ability and their recognition level on the ICT classes were average. More of the teachers with training experience think that they have sufficient ICT ability than the teachers with no training experience. Also, the teachers with training experience know more about the education and apply the ICT classes more actively. Most of the teachers responded they apply the ICT classes to increase the academic achievement and the reason for neglecting the ICT classes is because there is no appropriate environment for the ICT. Most of the teachers responded that they mainly use the ICT in the appreciation activities and they hope to use the ICT in different fields. Third, the promotion level of ICT classes in the schools was average and the level of teachers' satisfaction at the environment for the ICT classes was low. Most of the teachers think that the insufficient infra environment in the school is an obstacle to the activation of ICT classes and they think the systems for information and community should be reinforced in order to improve activation of the ICT classes. Fourth, the study investigated the teachers' recognition on the ICT classes and there was no significant difference depending on the teachers' gender, age, experience and training experience. Even though there was no significant difference in the recognition on the ICT classes depending on the teachers' training experience, there was a significant difference in the recognition that says that the ICT class is not necessary if the teacher is capable of teaching without it. The teachers with no training experience(M=3.14) showed a higher level of recognition on the subject compared to the teachers that had less than 30 hours of training(M=2.44) and the teachers who had more than 30 hours of training(M=2.06). I hope the study can be used to estimate the music teachers' recognition on the ICT classes and used to create better ICT classes.;본 연구는 중학교 음악교사들의 ICT 수업의 활용 정도, 이해, 환경에 대한 인식정도를 알아봄으로써 음악 수업에 보다 효율적이고 다양한 방법으로 ICT를 활용할 수 있는 토대를 마련하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 서울 중학교 음악교사들을 대상으로 ICT 연수, ICT 활용 수업 환경, ICT를 이용한 교수-학습 과정의 활용실태, 음악수업에서 ICT 활용에 대한 교사들의 인식을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 22개 중학교의 음악교사 40명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 정보화 연수 내용에 대한 만족도와 연수 기회에 대해서는 보통 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 연령과 경력이 높고, 연수 경험이 많을수록 정보화 연수의 내용에 대한 만족도가 높고, 연수 기회가 충분하다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사 자신의 ICT 활용 능력이 수업에 충분하다고 생각하는지와 ICT 활용 교육에 대한 인지 정도는 보통 수준으로 나타났다. 연수 경험이 있는 교사가 연수 경험이 없는 교사에 비해 ICT 활용 능력이 충분하다고 생각하고 있으며, 교육에 대해 더 잘 알고 있고, 또 ICT 활용 수업을 더 적극적으로 하고 있다는 것으로 나타났다. ICT 활용 수업을 하는 목적에 대한 교사들의 견해는 학업 성취도를 높이기 위해서라는 응답이 가장 많이 나타났고, ICT를 활용하지 않는 이유는 주변 환경이 잘 갖추어져 있지 않기 때문이라는 응답이 가장 많았다. ICT를 주고 활용하는 영역은 전체적으로 감상활동이라는 응답이 가장 많았고 향후 희망하는 ICT 활용 영역에 대한 분석결과는 다양한 영역에서 ICT 활용 수업을 하고자 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학교에서 ICT 활용 교육을 장려하는 정도는 보통 수준으로 나타났고, ICT 활용 교육을 위한 환경에 대한 만족도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. ICT 활용 수업의 활성화에 장애가 되는 요소에 대한 교사의 인식은 전체적으로는 학교 내 인프라 환경의 미비라는 응답이 가장 많았으며, ICT 활용 수업 활성화를 위한 개선점으로 정보통신 시설의 확충이 우선시 되어야 한다는 인식이 높게 나타났다. 넷째, ICT 활용 수업에 관한 교사의 인식을 조사한 결과 성별, 연령별, 경력별, 정보화 연수 경험에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구에서 연수 경험에 따라 ICT 활용 음악 수업에 대한 인식이 유의미한 차이를 보이지는 않았으나, 교사의 능력이 된다면 사용하지 않아도 좋다는 항목에서만 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였는데, 연수경험이 없는 교사(M=3.14)가 30시간 미만(M=2.44)의 연수를 경험한 교사와 30시간 이상의 연수를 경험한 교사(M=2.06)에 비해 높은 인식을 보였다. 이것은 연수 경험이 없는 교사들이 ICT 활용 수업에 대한 이해 부족과 ICT 자료들을 접할 기회 부족으로 인해 이러한 결과가 나타났다고 보아진다. 본 연구를 통해서 음악 교사들의 ICT 활용 수업에 대한 인식을 가늠해 보고, 보다 나은 ICT 활용 수업을 위한 자료로 쓰일 수 있기를 기대한다.
