음악 교과활동을 통한 진로교육

Abstract

이 연구의 목적은 음악 교과활동을 통한 진로교육이 일관성 있게 이루어질 수 있도록 교수-학습 지도안을 설계하여 효과적이고 체계적인 음악과에서의 진로교육 방법을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 문헌 자료를 기초로 진로교육의 개념과 필요성, 목표와 방향, 내용을 알아보고, 음악교육의 의미와 함께 음악 교과를 통한 진로교육의 필요성과 내용에 대해 고찰하였다. 이것을 바탕으로 9개 출판사의 중학교 3학년 음악 교과서에서 단계별로 진로교육과 연계할 수 있는 학습 내용을 찾아보고, 세광출판사의 중학교 3학년 음악 교과서를 중심으로 실제 수업모형을 개발하였다. 이 연구에서의 진로교육 단계는 ‘자아 인식, 일의 세계, 일에 대한 태도, 의사 결정 능력, 인간관계 기술, 일과 직업의 경제적 측면 이해, 교육과 일의 세계’의 일곱 단계로 구성되어 있다. 그리고 수업 모형은 교수-학습 지도안, 수업에 대한 자세한 안내, 교사용 학습 자료와 학생용 학습 자료로 구성되었다. 이러한 과정을 통해 얻게 된 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모든 인간에게 미칠 수 있는 음악의 영향력, 다양한 기능과 활용, 사회적 성격은 음악이 진로교육에서 효과적으로 학생들의 사고에 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 것을 보여준다. 둘째, 9개 출판사의 중학교 3학년 음악 교과서에서 진로교육에 대해 직접적으로 언급하고 있는 것은 세광출판사의 ‘이제 17세’와 지학사의 ‘생활 속의 음악과 직업’ 뿐이었고, 다른 출판사에서는 직접적인 언급이 나타나지 않고 있다. 셋째, 음악 교과서에서 진로에 대해 직접적으로 언급한 단원은 매우 적게 나타나고 있지만, 음악 교과활동과 연계하여 삶에 대한 사고의 폭을 넓히는 진로교육의 기회를 제공할 수 있는 내용은 충분히 찾을 수 있었다. 넷째, 음악 교과는 교사에 의한 교육과정 재구성이 비교적 용이해서 다른 교과에 비해 교과활동을 통한 진로교육을 실시함에 있어서 체계적인 구성이 가능하며, 체계적으로 구성된 음악 교과활동을 통한 진로교육은 음악 수업뿐만 아니라 재량활동과 같은 시간에도 활용이 가능함을 보여준다. 다섯째, 음악 교과활동을 통한 진로교육은 음악이 단순히 하나의 교과목으로만 존재하는 것이 아니라 삶의 과정과 연결되어 있으며 삶의 모습 자체라는 사실을 학생들이 현실적으로 인식할 수 있는 기회를 제공해 준다. 음악교육은 음악을 위한 교육이며 또한 음악을 통한 교육이다. 음악 교과활동을 통한 진로교육은 음악교육의 일차적인 목적은 아니지만 음악 교육이 수행해야 할 사회적 기능이며 음악을 통해 보다 진로에 대해 효과적으로 접근할 수 있는 교육이다. 다양하고 급격하게 변화하는 사회 속에서 음악의 역할과 기능도 함께 변화하고 다양해지고 있다. 음악을 통한 진로교육은 학문 안에서 머물러 있는 음악수업을 보다 넓은 시각에서 접근할 수 있게 해 줄 것이며 보다 효과적으로 미래에 대해 고찰할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 이를 위해 음악 교사의 진로 교육에 대한 인식 전환, 음악교육의 시수 확대, 각 학교의 실정에 맞는 교사의 진로교육 개발, 체계적이고 꾸준한 교육의 진행이 필요하다. 음악 교과활동을 통한 진로교육에 대한 이 연구가 음악교육과 진로교육 발전을 위한 새로운 방향 모색에 기여할 수 있는 하나의 시도가 되기를 바란다.;The purpose of this study is to present the effective and systematic methods of the career education through music class activities by designing the teaching-learning plan for the coherent career education. For this purpose, on the basis of the relevant theories, this study starts with the examination of concepts, necessities, aims, basic directions and contents of the career education, along with the meanings of the music education and the necessities of the career education through music class. After that, another processes were conducted to find out the contents which were closely connected with the career education in accordance with the step in the 3rd grade music textbooks by nine publishing companies and to develop the real teaching-learning model focusing on the music textbook for the 3rd grade middle school by Sekwang music publishing company. In this study, the stage of the career education was defined by Korean Educational Development Institute(1989) and the definition was composed of seven stages: ego cognition, the world of the work, the attitude for the work, decision-making ability, the technique of human relations, the understanding of economic aspects between the work and the job, the world of the education and the work. In addition the teaching-learning model was composed of teaching-learning plan, the guidebooks of the teaching-learning process, teaching materials for teachers and learning materials for students. The results are summarized as follows: First, it was confirmed through this study that the music could play a great role in students' thinking ability considering the various musical functions, widely usages, the power of influence on all the people, and the social function of music. Second, it was also found that only ‘16 Going on 17' of Sekwang music publishing company and ‘Music and Job in life' of Jihaksa made relation to the career education concretely among nine music textbooks publishing companies, and the others made no relation to the career education. Third, although it was revealed that the units related with the career were fewer, it was showed that the contents which provided the opportunity of the career education could be found out and made relation to covering a process of broadening thinking ability about life more easily. Fourth, it is easy for music teachers to reorganize the curriculum in comparison with other subjects, and this strong point enables teachers to connect the career education through music class activities systematically. Furthermore it is certain that the career education through music class activities can be effective for the optional activities. Lastly the career education through music class activities is beyond the subject itself and it has close connection with one's life. Moreover it provides the opportunity for students to meet the real life through the music. Music education is not only the education for music but also the education through music. Although the career education through the music activities is not essential and primary purpose, it is the social function of music education and can be an effective approach through the music class. Recently the role and the function of the music are being changed and diversified keeping pace with the rapidly changing world. Therefore the career education through music class activities can make it possible to obtain the desired results in expanding the area of music subject in the broaden viewpoint and taking a new opportunity to meet the future effectively. For this purpose, it is necessary that music teachers should change their correct understanding of the career education and the adequate music instructional hours should be allocated. In addition, the teachers should develop the contents of the career education according to the situation of the school, and manage the steady and well-organized class. It's hoped that this study on the career education through the music class activities will make a small contribution towards newly developed aspects both music education and career education.
